Forum Games Masterpost

Since there's a masterpost for the draw and design forum games, I thought I'd make one for writing forum games!

If I missed a thread of you've made a new one, comment here! Let me know if you'd like me to remove a thread or if one has been deleted.
Note: Due to health reasons, I cannot regularly go through the forums and regularly add new games, so please comment here if you'd like to have one added.

This thread only includes SFW forum games that are not mature locked. For NSFW and otherwise 18+ forum games, please check the NSFW Forum Games Masterpost.

This is specifically for forum games. If you need help with character development, check out the Character Development Resource Hub by capsaicinoid/Pepperly and the The Character Development Thread by jenn. If you want to revive your or someone else's forum game, check Revive the Forum Game Above You by Jutta.

The games are sorted into sections: Character Discussion (Simple), Character Discussion (Elaborate), Character Response Threads, Character Interaction, Writing Threads, Headcanon Threads, Naming Threads, "Say Something Nice" Threads, Favoriting Threads, Description Threads, Similar Character Threads, Chain Threads, Media Specific Threads, Other Misc. Threads (Character) and Other Threads (User). A navigation menu is also available in the bottom right corner if you're on desktop.

Character Discussion (Simple)

Simple threads related to character development and discussion! This contains mostly very casual thread games.

Character Discussion (Elaborate)

More elaborate threads related to character development and discussion! Threads here are specifically about your own characters, whether that means talking about them, answering questions about them, or anything else in that nature, not for in-character games (though some may allow in-character responses) or interaction with other people's characters.

Character Response Threads

Games relating to in-character responses. This includes games where your character responds to a question or prompt, but does not include games where your character interacts with someone else's character. Both writing and more casual, meme games are listed here.

Character Interaction

Games relating to multiple people's characters interacting. This includes both games where your character interacts with the one above and ones where everyone interacts, but is not about your own characters interacting. Both writing and more casual, meme games are listed here.

Writing Threads

Threads related to writing! This section mostly contains writing prompts.

Headcanon Threads

Forum games that involve you guessing or assigning something for someone else's characters! This includes both more in depth answers and very casual, very short games.

Naming Threads

Threads related to character names! This section mostly consists of suggesting or renaming characters.

"Say Something Nice" Threads

As the title suggests, these are threads and games where you say something nice about the poster above! Almost all threads here are character related.

Favoriting Threads

Favorites exchanges! Some are just exchanges, some are request boards, and some ask you to explain why.

Description Threads

Describe a character, whether the one above or your own, in one word, emojis, as if they were an RPG character, or as horrible as possible. Mostly low effort, casual, jokey threads.

Similar Characters Threads

Want to see more characters of a certain type? Want to compare your own characters to others? Here are some games for that.

Chain Threads

Chain games! Whether they're following a specific pattern or building off of the previous poster, the majority of these are character related.

Media Specific Threads

This section is for threads related to any fandom or media! All media specific threads are listed here rather than in their other respective category, and will include both user and character related threads.

Nonstop aa really? I can read it just fine...
I'm afraid the grey is actually fairly light already, and changing it too much might make it a little too light for the other themes! ;; I'll try lightening it up a little bit though, hope that helps?

Why don't you just erase the font color entirely and let it auto-change to whatever color the theme is?

Nonstop I mean, the whole idea of the colour and font difference was to make it pretty, and since you can probably still see the actual links and such, I think I'll leave it like this for now. if anyone else complains I'll try to change it so it's more readable though!
