Your OC is forced to marry the OC above!

Posted 6 years, 4 months ago (Edited 5 years, 6 months ago) by colorful

EDIT: PLEASE ONLY BUMP THE THREAD EVERY 2 HOURS PER PERSON! Also, refrain from posting characters under 18!

I've thought of this weird idea after listening to some love songs and even wedding songs. This is probably the forum game we never needed, but I'll still post it for the heck of some giggles. So, how the heck does this work?

This is like Persona Q's Group Date Cafe dungeon, except it's completely random.

As you entered the place you were supposed to enter, you encounter something else. You are surrounded by sculptures of angels and adornments of white ribbons and bows with roses at the middle. The warm sunshine pierced through the colorful stained glass, emitting kaleidoscopic reflections. As you look up, you see the sacred illustrations at the ceiling.

You're confused. Tried to move, you noticed something off... Your clothes... Instead of what you last wore, your clothes changed to that of a bride/groom's due to some unknown phenomena. As you look straight to the altar, someone is waiting for you.

In short, you're getting married prior your notice.

Now I've explain what the heck's going on, let's proceed with the rules:

  • Your character must be above 18 years old.
  • Unless 24 hours have passed, you can only post every after 3 posts.
  • Please have at least 3 sentences in your reply. Although this is a crack roleplay thread, please be literate and legible with your replies.
  • Claim a post when you have a rad idea for a reply.
  • Please tell if you want your OC's sexuality to be respected. Though since this is a crack thread, I don't really mind for myself, surprise me.
  • Please, make your bio readable to logged in users, at least. If you were to post a locked character, you will be skipped without your notice.
  • Remember, this is just a crack thread and this is an AU, and this will never be canon. OCs who are taken can also take part, if you don't mind the cursed NTR.
  • Though if you really want to marry the OC above you, might as well ask the user about it before actually marrying them.
  • Rules can be changed anytime.

How does this work?

It's hard to explain it with words and I can't type as much since my back hurts, but let's do it like this. Don't imitate my examples, though.

  • 1st guy
  • 2nd guy: "Y-You've got to be kidding me. There's no way I'll marry someone as sacrilegious as you! In fact, I am already married! Well why would you...?!"
  • 3rd guy: "W-Why am I marrying this guy?! I mean, we're both guys and I only like pretty girls! He reeks, too!"
  • and so on...
Jung spacecadet

"Hahahaha." Jung grinned widely, showing off sharp, white teeth. "You're a hoot. Y'know, people always say I have an interesting smile. What do you think?" Coughing, she studied her nails before looking up. "I don't think I'll have a problem getting along with you, but if you try to kill me, I'll fight back. Anyway, we could make it work, happy guy, even if our reasons for what we do are different."

windfall

"Ah, um.." Kai squints, looking anxiously around the room, though his smile turns to a frown, "Yes, is there any way to back out of a marriage? You're lovely, truly lovely, but.." He laughs nervously, "I would prefer not to die. Would I not be killed if I married you? I'm not sure- is that what you want?" He shakes his head, carding a hand through his hair, "I'm sure there's plenty of.. other people for you?"

Furfur Rorichi

Oh my, my~ What an adoooorable and disgusting sweetie you are~! Angel is truly a fitting name for you~" Furfur chuckled, her true emotions about this wedding unknownWas she amused? Or was she deeply disappointed by this turn of events? Who knew. Nonetheless she continued speaking with a wide grin on her mouth. "Aaah you are amazing! You are so disgusting, disgraceful and gross, and your tastes are truly something~! It makes my heart beat even faster~ Yes! I think we could spend a part of eternity together, you are a perfect cure from a deadly poison called boredom~! But don't get too jealous if you see me with someone else, after all, it's just bussiness, darling ☆"

 $10 Dirge

"Alright. So I'm married to a demon? This is just... wonderful. What am I gonna tell Gahiji? Ugh, I wonder if there's some spell that can resolve this forced marriage." Ginta said, mostly to himself, pulling out a book with unknown and archaic scrawled across the cover and thumbing through it.

WIP- Nanako spacecadet

The petite girl seemed a tad uncomfortable, shifting her feet slightly. She seemed to dislike how close the wolf like creature was standing to her, and her nose twitched slightly. "You're too close." Her voice was soft yet stern as she narrowed her eyes, the velvet soft fur on her ears bristling. "And your temper..." Nanako had a feeling that their personalities would clash greatly, as she already saw the wolf creature getting angry. "Don't like this." The soft pink lips pouted and she curled her small hands into fists.

Zef reinapepiada

Zef always had the feeling he would be wed into an extremely unhappy relationship, arranged by his parents. He always thought he couldn't run away from it. And really, he knew he would, eventually, and it would be a reason to break and blame it all on them. It would be, in a way, easier than anything else he can project.

But to be marrying a princess? That's surprising, who would've thought his parents would make such a fine arrangement. They must be desperate.

Yet, they both look like they have things in common. Though Zef can quickly sense how Nanako is not very comfortable and even if he's not keen on this either, he does want to make his best attempt at making her comfortable. He's been taught to be a gentleman, at least, and he has no trouble being one.

Still, it feels like it's going to be a long day. He sighs.

Molly Burke Glitterbark

Molly adjusted her tie, trying not to fidget while she stood next to a man who was, in short order, going to be her husband.

There were a lot of things she wanted to say to him, which wasn't terribly unusual; one would assume that marriage partners would have quite a lot to discuss about their potential future together. However, for Molly, every single one of these statements began with an apologyI'm sorry that it's me you're marrying, for example, and I'm sorry that I'm not very good at this. I'm sorry that they couldn't have chosen someone better, I'm sorry that I can't smile charmingly at you even though you look handsome, I'm sorry that I'm like this and I'm sorry that I really don't understand what I'm supposed to be doing right now. A thousand marks of self-hatred all brimming inside of her, about how she wasn't good enough, smart enough, or socially aware enough to deal with with marriage. Her looks, her personality, her manner of speaking, even her expressions - for each one, Molly internally apologized, but she had no idea how to convey any of what she was feeling aside from a multi-page dissertation sodden with the weight of her own regrets.

Instead, she stood next to Jozef, her expression impossible to penetrate, given the dour solemnity of her general manner of bearing. She looked over at him, studying him for a moment, and when she finally spoke, it was a simple phrase that somehow simultaneously missed the mark and yet also conveyed the core of her general feelings at the moment.

"...I hope I can make you happy."

Haruka spacecadet

"You look upset..." Haruka tried to offer a smile towards the stoic man, tilting her head just enough to let a curtain of jet black hair fall over her face. "It's not the worst thing in the world, is it? To marry a princess? Besides."

She covered her mouth and giggled.

"I thought you considered getting a dog for a while."

Shrugging, she turned amethyst eyes towards him, a mischievous expression playing on her face. "Although I'm no golden lab."

Failing to rouse a smile from him, the slight warmth in her eyes faltered.

"I'm sorry if I'm not your ideal. After all, you aren't mine either. But as long as you cut down on the killing and the life risking business, we could make it work, right?"

Dr. Jeremy Becker thegrumpydruid

Jeremy took a far longer sip of his coffee than normal staring for a much longer moment then finally blinking, "That is... Awkward. Quite awkward. My hypothesis is that htis... Arangement is somehow a political thing? Or... Something? Perhaps. hmm..."
He trails off in thought within his own mind for a moment before speaking again, "I fear questioning it. I'm just a warrior and a teacher...."
He trails off yet again, he tends to do that a lot, "I do rather like dogs... However I am quite... Gay."

Xaanik Aarix

"We're... Oh! Okay. Ah. Well this isn't exactly how I'd envisioned spending New Year's Eve, but... well it's a change of pace isn't it?" Xaanik gives a high, nervous laugh, "You're a professor of anthropology? I'm fascinated by the nature of humans and their culture too, so... at least we may have some common ground?" He grins and shakes his head, looking away, "Ah, forgive me I just... goodness, this just happened so quickly; I've never even contemplated legal matrimony before. Though you seem like a good man! At the very least I think we could be friends if we got to know one another. Perhaps.... this could work? We could give it a go? I mean. If you'd like. It's not as if we have to stay legally bound if we don't want to, so in any case... It's lovely to make your acquaintance, Dr Becker."

RAW reinapepiada

There are tears already flowing from their eyes. This shouldn't be happening to them... They don't qualify as a person, and they shouldn't have the right to be legally tied to anyone. They won't perform right, it won't work. It won't work.

They're holding a bouquet and their tears drop from their chin to the petals. "I'm sorry," a good opening to any of their sentences. "I don't- I don't know how this works. I don't want to waste your time, I- There are- There are m-much better candidates- I don't know..." now, taking a better look they can see that Xaanik is also an angel, which... Confuses them terribly. Is this alright then? No, other angels are better than them, always. "I'm sorry." they sob, and they try to make themself and their wings smaller with their posture. "This is so unfortunate for you- I- I bet you have more important things to do..."

Even then, who is forcing them to marry? Oh, that's right, it must be God. That thought should give RAW comfort but it just makes them cry even more, because they're so against a thing that's supposed to be their mission (or that's what they think right now, but they're probably wrong). Yet again, if they had at least a smidge of confidence they would feel much better about this; they'd feel like they could do something right. But they don't and they can't, they're basically frozen in an anxious loop.

Runa ChickieDee

Runa's heart ached a little to hear her betrothed so upset. Of course, she was not pleased with the arrangement either, but they seemed particularly shaken by it. "Oh dear, please don't cry! I know that this is an unexpected situation, but we can make the best of it, I assure you!" The fae starts to reach an arm to pat their shoulder in comfort, but stops. The last thing that she'd want to do is make them more uncomfortable than they probably already are.

Instead, she offers them a gentle smile. "I can take care of you, I promise. We could work together in my shop, and support one another. You will never have to worry about a thing." Runa reaches out her hand once more, this time in an invitation to hold. "If it makes you feel better, dear, I'm quite nervous about this as well. But I'm sure that it will all work out."
