What does the OC above say about their owner?

This thread has rules regarding the effort you have to put in your replies. Please read them carefully before claiming and posting. Violation of these rules could lead to a warning or a ban from my forum games.

Basically a 'lite' version of What do the above user's OCs say about them?. I thought it could be fun! This time, you post IC and you have to tell what the specific OC above (posted IC as well) says about their owner, be it their tastes, personality, way of writing, etc.

  • Please put effort into your claim, and do your best to make it interesting to read!
    • Read the profile of the character you’re claiming! Don’t base your claim on design only; make sure you know what the character is about before writing.
    • Don't state the obvious only, such as "you like this character a lot", "you like anthro characters", or "you like pastel aesthetics". It's fine to use these as a starter, but your final response has to be more thought-out than vague, surface-level assumptions. In other words, do not simply describe the OC above you and then add that their owner probably likes this type of character.
    • Do not simply project the OC's personality unto their owner as well; if a character is described as being nice, shy and liking flowers, do not simply say "you're probably nice, shy, and like flowers". Try to make it a bit more interesting: do you think the user above you has a garden they tend, or are they rather the kind of person to be interested in botany?
    • Don't be afraid to take risks and to be specific; it's okay if your assumptions end up being wrong, as long as you explain your reasoning behind them.
    • Try to be fair, especially if the person above you took the time to write a long paragraph. Don't write one sentence or line only.
  • Please make sure the OC you post has a bio with enough substance for the next poster to have something to write about.
  • For everyone's comfort, please refrain from posting NSFW or otherwise possibly disturbing characters. If you really do want to use such OCs, please offer an alternative at the end of your post so the game doesn't get stuck.
  • You can claim a post if you want to be safe, but please edit it quickly after.
  • There’s no specific post limit, but avoid spamming the thread or claiming the same user over and over again.
  • Stay nice to other people; even if the character above you don't fit your tastes, doesn't make passive-aggressive assumptions.

Have fun! Let's start with Judas (:
Camden Dawn MissDawn

@Judas-la-Carotte

The first and most obvious thing to note is that theology is something you hold a deep and passionate conviction for. You make your Judas OC sympathetic which shows a love of redemption arcs and villain/anti-heroes who are either good people at heart or only perceived as "evil" because of circumstance, not intent. His personality disorder being as specific as it is makes me think you've done at least a wiki-walk on psychology and perhaps you are diagnosed or have someone close to you who is which would give you a window to the complexities of how a personality disorder impacts a person.

The wholesome modern day clubroom AU for Jesus' narrative makes me think your preferences in fiction are soft "slice of life" type stories.

 Landrael of Kilura Serotina

@Bayfield

Camden is very detailed and well-thought out, suggesting you put a lot of time and effort into her(and implying you do so for other OCs). There are a lot of relationship issues and manipulation, but they are realistic and there are also great relationships there. Because of this I think that you have a grasp of real relationships and do well socially. She only has one piece of art, so I believe you enjoy the written parts of OCs more than the artistic aspect(further supported by her being a roleplay character). Despite her being your first roleplay character she is a believable one, and it is obvious you put a lot of time into your OCs.

Tobie "Théodore" Cohn fuelli

The first thing I noticed about Landrael, even before this thread, is that they seem to be one of your main OCs, since ther bio seems to be the most developed, they have the most art, you mainly use them in forum games, etc. So, I think that the themes their bio deals with are very important to you.

Landrael is a siren with a pretty unusual and original design (the colour palette, the pointy ears and the three eyes are always the first things I notice and remember!), and the whole lore about your sirens seems also well developed, at least from an outsider point of view, which make me think that this kind of creature is something super interesting to you! Maybe you have several other siren characters, or you like to learn about sea life as a whole, idk (:

The main themes Landrael's bio deals with seem to be gender identity, difficult relationships (such as betrayals), and NSFW themes. Given that this characters is one of your mains, I think that they are topics who are really important to you, and I wouldn't be surprised if you used them in other characters as well. Landrael's quote about their sexuality as well as the fact they are genderfluid also give the idea that you are pretty aware of LGBT+ issues.

Landrael's comes off as a pretty morally gray character to me, neither 100% good or bad, which make me think that you're a pretty realistic person, neither naive or pessimistic.

Ooh that's super accurate! I find child characters super fun to write lmao I'm a bit surprised there isn't that much of them on TH ;o;

Avery Vyner FellowPigeon

The obvious things that stick out are your interest in history and religion and exploring them through unconventional stories and in ways that can sometimes be uncomfortable.

I have read the profiles of your other young characters in the past and I gather that you like to have complex child characters. Something you don't see explored much, as child characters are often portrayed as one note stereotypes. But I think Tobie in particular is a representation the cultural idea of an idealised childhood and what it means. He is well-mannered and innocent but naive and this is tested through the challenges he faces.

 It is because of this that I assume you also have an interest in those sort of subjects. Or I could be totally off

 Snuchki Opossun

The first thing I notice on characters are usually how people do their design. I love to see how people do different style of things and how someone would diffenretly do a design on the same history, like, imagining the various versions of the idea n stuff. And your version for Avery is quite simple and so... Organic. I feel like it says that you are someone who perfers designs that could actually exist, like, someone you can find walking on the streets. Seeing your other characters I also noticed that.

Other interesting thing I noticed is that you made Avery a really nice person despite them being a "mad scientist", they could be chaotic evil or just plain evil, but instead you made someone who loves their work so much they create life. That's really wholesome and tells a lot about you, prefering to deal with more soft subjects. That's really sweet tbh, I really like Avery as a character. They are different from the usual

 Saturn celestiials

gif Just from looking at the race of Schnucki, I can already tell that I think you like fantasy elements? From their bio I can also tell that apparently you like putting detail into OC bios, but not enough to the point where it's classified as infodumping. From the design, I think you like character designs that don't seem out of the ordinary, maybe to hide their true identities. It's interesting that you made them look like a normal person instead of a stereotypical witch, I think you don't like strictly sticking to formulaic characters. I'm also going to go out on a limb and guess that you don't like inaccuracies, because Schnucki hates the "witch aesthetic" because in the past, witches were persecuted.

__________

Oh wow that’s pretty accurate!

Ismaël "Hans" Schirch fuelli

celestiials

I've already said that for some of your other OCs, but Saturn's design, as well as her abilities, which may make her look overpowered at first but stays balanced when compared with the rest of your characters, gives me strong Touhou (and Touhou-inspired stuff, such as Len'en) vibes! Given the themes Touhou deals with, as well as Saturn's whole concept (y'know, being a goddess in a polytheistic world and all), I think that you maybe a religion and/or mythology enthusiast, or at least that these stories are a big inspiration for you when creating your world. I guess you prefer to take vague concepts and make them entirely your thing, giving them a totally original aesthetic and backstory, and I think you may enjoy various fantasy games, animes, etc? Like, the multi-fandom kind of person?

Also, I'd like to add that Saturn quite looks like the innocent cinnamon roll when just looking at her art, and learning that her story actually deals with war, and that her personality isn't as sweet as it seems can be a bit surprising with we don't know much about your universe -- which make me think that you have really mixed and various interests, which can range to adorable aesthetics to darker and more mature backstories! c:

Ooh accurate lmao, even though I think I'm not as knowledgeable in classic literature as I should be rip, I still have many things to learn lmao -- And I study religions purely on my own because they aren't really religion studies in France, at least not before the college years, and usually it's for people who want to become part of the clergy aaaa

And haha I'm glad you noticed the little Easter Eggs in put in links in the bios too ~ And yup you're totally right about the big casts and group interactions as well! I think most of my characters are way less interesting when taking them individually without considering their relationship with the rest, lmao :")

 Ivan Kasyanov #985 Caine

I guess it's probably pretty obvious, but given the character's name is a reference both a Biblical character and the classic literature character, I assume you're well-versed in both. Especially with the knowledge shown on religions in his profile combined by the fact of what I already know of you, it's pretty clear you are really dedicated to this topic and have more than just the basic sort of knowledge! Because I studied extra for religions in the past so I can tell it's not just the basics, since I myself am more of a basics guy as a whole lmao Finnish religion studies are the worst (it's basically 9 years of NOTHING but Lutheran Christianity with only like a month or two in total of that 9 years dedicated to other religions, and in high school the mandatory courses are also mostly about Christianity and the extra ones are about world religions + old religions that no longer exist).  ALSO the little detail about how he mistook Gabriel for a female and this is backed up with an actual Quran quote only further shows you really do know what you're referencing and using to make your own!

I also get a feeling from his profile + the way many of your other characters are linked into larger groups that as a storyteller you prefer group interactions and generally bigger casts of characters as opposed to having only on or two. This one is more of an assumption than something I could like directly read from between the lines and back it up with something, but I feel like you might really enjoy the more mature and calmer characters who acknowledge the good in other people.

Oh, and also, a fan of Touhou haha I have noticed a lot of your characters have themes from Touhou!

Thank you so much !! I definitely have a knack for wanting to explore less common areas in CS lores as much as I ADORE the more stereotypical/common types especially in dainties (I mean I'm an adult and I do love my more adult themed characters too). And you're super spot on about the organizing, I usually feel super uneasy if things aren't in what I perceive as a logical order and I have a strong need to have really organized character bios with especially everything important added to them & I LOVE details both in like art and writing, I tend to a ramble a lot which shows in the length of the bio but I just really like to write down all I perceive as crucial to the character, so it's not just the "bare necessities" even though I do have the intro section for that.

Dunno about being mellow or soft though, I feel like I'm actually sort of an opposite of that haha I just really love the softer aesthetics

Hayato thegrumpydruid

I honestly love this character...(it's kinda a relief to see a dainty that's not all soft and innocent in nature and life?)
Anyways! I gathered from this character that you love to be unique, different than the rest. Outside of the box, but not excessively so, enough to be a breath of fresh air. I'm a super visual person, so i noted that you probably like to have everything all neat and organized.... and boy is your OC's profile organized, I love that actually. Everything is neat and where it should be, ducks all in a row, etc. At least visually anyways, i know it's easy to do that online, but maybe a soft little "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!?" behind the scenes? Also touching on the visuals, the colour schemes are light, pastel and soft... I have a feeling you are a soft kinda person, a bit mellow and down to earth maybe? Also, I noticed you are a huge sucker for detail, you spend huge amounts of time on your OC's making them come alive off the page and have flaws, strengths, weaknesses, traits and personality. I feel like you are the type to do a lot of research for each OC if you aren't exactly 100% about something in their background

I Looooove complex characters and backgrounds, I'm all about complexity and detail. And I love Japanese history! I'm pursuing a degree in Japanese anthropology, and will eventually become a professor down the road!!! I got a huge soft spot for more rough and tough, fighter characters.
And yeah, I'm a pretty serious guy who doesn't tolerate BS and I'm pretty fighty for a smol guy (imagine a chihuahua) And yeahhhh, a loner until provoked

 💉 Sawyer 💉 Swifty-wish

Jumps in with my fave boy

Hmm.. hayato makes me think that you enjoy more complex characters with a mostly defined backstory as well as personality. From his descriptions, it also makes me wonder if you’re interested in Japanese culture, maybe. You might also be inclined to more... rough characters, I guess? Adventurer and warrior types for example.

I think he also reflects uhmm.. that you have quite a serious side and aren’t afraid to fight for anything? However you also might prefer to stay hidden from others unless they engage you or do something you would disagree with..

Ahh I’m not sure what else to say! but yea that’s what I get B)

YEP, THAT'S RIGHT
Dogs, cool. German shepherds are my fave, like he is lmao
Horror, yes please.

But yeah, aesthetic is most important in my character designs, personalities are next. Sawyer is my only oc with a.. mostly defined backstory (although not everything i imagine is on his page)
And gas masks?? uhh YEAH they're so cool o;

Easy things first, you like dogs and horror. BAM RIGHT?
besides that;
You seem like a person that really like characters with aesthetic and deeper/darker stories/backstories for your character. You really gave Sawyer a personality, small trivia as "liking beer instead of heavier alcohol" is  nice touch and it really gives him more depth then only "hes here to merder hurhur" kind of characters (don't get me wrong, I just like characters with details and trivia like that dakfl)
The mask is also really cool, so I think your a person who likes gas masks or at least the aesthetics of them? Especially the older models. Also You aren't afraid to make your characters into monsters.
You gave your character some visible disabilities, and you build his personality around it. You put a lot of time in your characters!

Tsuko celestiials

Let's start off with the obvious: his bio is very detailed, so I can tell that you love putting detail into your character bios. I can also tell that you try to make character bios make as much sense as possible because of that. I think you might also like villainous characters, because he's a character I tend to see around quite a lot. I know I've said this before, but judging from his outfit, I think you like historical outfits and historical stuff in general.

Chenille mustelas

I'll take a shot at this thread :o

I'm guessing from the trivia pieces in your bio that you tend to keep track of a lot of seemingly trivial details. Also, looking through a few of your other characters..you seem to wish for a long life or longevity, although perhaps I'm overthinking it and you just are fascinated with immortals. It's also possible that you're pretty well rounded, since you know quite a few interesting bits of trivia, such as the date of the first piano's creation. Other than that, lighter character schemes seem to appeal to you aesthetically, since most of your characters have them.
