My experiences with BoiMilk:

On December 7th I ordered a commission from BoiMilk for 50$. After 5 months of radio silence I asked for an update and BoiMilk offered a refund. I was hesitant because I really liked their art so I asked if how long did they think it would take for them to finish. I got zero response and so after a few weeks did a chargeback because the buyer protection was ending soon. All the screencaps of the conversation are here.

After a while I was curious and saw that their profile had a good amount of comments asking for an update and one person asking for a refund.

Yet instead of giving responses they've just made more adopts with extras you could pay for in the form of icons.

I truly hate that it has come to this point, but I have grown frustrated with the fact that I have been deceived for almost two years now. I do not enjoy that I have to make a journal about this, since I do not enjoy speaking negatively of anyone, but alas this is my last resort.

I do not want for anyone to go to this artist and harass them for this, I merely wanted to advise others since I do not know if I am the only one who has been dealing with this, but considering I have been kind enough for as long as I have.. I do not appreciate my kindness being take granted for.

I had made orders in the past with the user boimilk.. I was given a wip of one or my order, but it ended up being scrapped and left to be redesigned. We had made contact through discord and proceeded to chat through there about what it was we should do. We came to the conclusion that it’d be best to receive my money back, but each time I went to ask for money which was over a few months I was told that it was going to be given to me soon. When I had last messaged the artist we had made a decision on requesting the money back, which was made during May 22nd. Since then I have not yet received anything from them. Before I made contact with them on discord I had left a note to them that to this day has been left unread.

hunny im sorry to hear that BoiMilk still hasnt given you your refund ;-; have they stopped responding to your messages? if so they seem to be active on their reddit. though given their track record i suggest you id make an artist beware here https://artistsbeware.info/ id do it but the person who was direcly effected must make it as per their rules stating that a person can only post about their transaction. if you decide to go through with this route and need some help ive written one on the site before and can offer assistance. but again, sorry this happened to you, it really sucks

I would very much appreciate some help!! And truthfully at this point I’m over it, she took my money and it teaches me not to be so forgiving towards artists if they don’t deliver.

Oh my god those extra adopts you posted- I bought the one on the right and they never finished the icon. I tracked them down for months and eventually filed a claim on Paypal to which they FINALLY responded and said they were pissed I filed a claim instead of spoke with them when I literally couldn't contact them at all. God.

Im glad I got a refund, I hope everyone else can if they haven't.

Solimbrem wow the hypocrisy is real, they really got mad at you for filing a claim despite not doing anything on their end to contact you. i ended up having to do a chargeback as well because of their lack of a response. tbh a buyer shouldnt have to track them down for and them getting mad over it is just like really? im glad you got your money back, however im not sure about the others, i know some havent gotten a response and the buyer protection ran out. stinks to because i just rechecked their reddit and they were active a day ago.
