General Thread for PSAs

Hello!

8/9: New PSA added.

5/14: 2 new PSAs added.

4/8: New PSA posted and additional information on Squidribs added to relevant PSA.

It was suggested that there should perhaps be a general thread for PSAs which is a fine idea. A place that links to other PSAs and keep things organized.
You can link your threads/PSAs/etc, and I'll add them to the posts. :D
Please Note: I can only accept public PSAs. Anon PSAs are too much of a risk to accept, as they can be open to slander.

Things That Count for PSAs!
-Scams
-Illegally chargebacked (you did a commission, but person claims you never did, for instance)
-Being shifty on doing owed things (taking months on an icon for example, lack of contact or updates, etc)
-Tracing and profiting off of it...
-Etc...

Things That Don't Count!
-Someone has better art than you
-Rude behavior
-Subjective issues
-Dog ate your homework

Obviously, this is just the basic frame work. Each case is different. For instance, someone could go around harassing artists for art and customs, or for people to give up their adopts and whatnot, and that could almost certainly be considered for a PSA...

Of course, it would be great if no more PSAs occur, but in the case they do, I support people posting them because they keep the community safe and will link to them in this general thread. owo/

There'll be two posts, one for PSAs and one for resolved cases! ^^

so I found out from this girl's DA (she's a moderately upcoming youtuber) that she is 14 and drawing LOADS of nsfw porn on newgrounds + faving pornographic material. How do I report this to newgrounds?

spoiler explains how she used racist slurs, insulting disabled school children, and threats of sexual assault

she got mad that someone reported her yt stream for her saying the term n*gger and drawing nsfw content on youtube (which got a content strike on her account, which she proceeded to tell people that they should "ride the short bus away" and that whoever reported her, she's gonna rape them)

Idk if this is PSA worthy or not but I'm disgusted and I want all accounts that she's using to draw porn with to be terminated immediately.. this is awful

hexie If you open one and they respond, do not close it until your get what you ordered. If you cancel it and they decide to disappear again, Paypal won't let you open another dispute.

Give them the deadline, if they don't meet it then escalate the dispute and take your money back.

So, someone had a falling out with one of my friends' friends and made a character that looks way too close to one of my friends' characters. It was probably done out of spite. And, I told my friend that they should report the copy considering the eerie similarities and that this character was made so close to a falling out.

My freien'ds character is a noodle dragon and the copy is also a noodle. The color schemes are kinda similar, though the copy has the palette flipped. The few changes were pose, gill-like cracks, different ears, addition of flowers, extra eyes, and a nose horn. The lightest/main color of my friend's OC were removed. But, those changes just makes the copy look like an alternate version of my friend's character.

I would prefer to privately message if anyone needs to see the designs in question, as my friend has asked me not to publicly post the designs yet as this person has attacked them in the past and is afraid they're going to go after them and try to take back characters my friend owns.

I'd've not been so concerned about this design if it wasn't for the circumstances and that this person was possessive of the original.

EDIT: The situation is being dealt with. Turns out that the copy was actually a fusion done without permission and the owner of one of the characters has requested that the design be redone due to the fact.

Seconding Lehmuri's advice. Give them one final chance, but also be firm by establishing the deadline. It sounds like the artist has a poor work ethic and doesn't communicate well, both of which can make customer interactions unpleasant and stressful.

Asking for a refund, especially if no work has been shown, is perfectly okay. You paid for work and service after all, and you're not getting either.
