Warning about Catandaguin

I hate doing this and have been holding off posting this for a while now but the situation has no signs of being resolved.

I will segment this into two parts detailing the two connected instances that happened and what I am hoping for

The first incident

Last year in July Catandaguin commissioned me for five fully colored and shaded full bodies which at the time was 125$ worth of art in exchange for a character they own. I finished the five of them and sent it to Catandaguin In which they asked me to fix some things which I did and sent it over to them where they refused to pay me and questioned whether or not I drew the art I posted the drawings since I had finished them and didn't know what to do in the situation and they never replied to me again.

I asked some friends to compare it with my art at the time and they said that it looked like how I drew back then as you can see by the rest on my gallery. You can also see all of the PMs that were sent between us on the stash link.

The second incident

Earlier this month my friend came across one of the characters I drew for sale and then saw that they had uploaded one of the drawings I made that was credited to them for drawing it the drawing and character have been screenshotted in the stash but here is a link to the character https://toyhou.se/3352175.pop-rocks-jolleraptor#21329101. my friend messaged them asking for them to credit me but Catandaguin read the message and never responded. My friend told me about it so I then messaged them as seen in the stash but I also got no reply nor was the credit fixed. So both me and my friend filed a ticket on the character but the ticket has been sitting untouched for around a month now.

Both my friend and I found it notable that the art was uploaded once the character was put up for sale.

What I hope for out of this

The first thing I want is the art to be at least credited to me. The second thing is I have heard that staff has been extremely inactive when it comes to cases like this more info on this can be found on this thread https://toyhou.se/~forums/14421.help-questions/149069.-mods-dead-an-update-. Though if I were ideally speaking I would like to payed for all of the art I would like the 125$ the art is worth but I am no longer interested in the character but I will accept that if that's what I can get. But mostly I want to warn other artists to be careful of this.

Please let me know if you can think of any ways to help settle this situation.

I didn't expect to make another update seeing as it's been 2 years and nothing has happened, but the owed character seems to have been sold to someone else please don't harass the character's new owner. The user BRAINROT shared her experience with Catandaguin with me a while ago and I forgot to add it you can find it in the comments and here is what she sent me plus screenshots for proof of the dm:

I went and checked on my old ass DA but- the whole Cat thing kinda made me uncomfortable back then cause I was only 16 at the time and Cat was a whole adult on my ass so most of the notes were deleted the day after it happened. She jumped on me really quickly to argue and insist I was stealing from her and I hadn't ever dealt with that before so younger me panicked even after she shut up. I have bits of it in my drafts though!! Even if it isn't much sadly. I didn't think to archive it all cause I just figured she'd never pop up again and I was nervous.

Most of what I have is from her first outburst, not the second. But she commissioned me here ta da ! It took longer than expected for me to get to her stuff since there were things going in my personal life at the time. I gave a lot of people refunds if they didn't want to wait but she never accepted one from me before she threw her fits, paying me 1000 da points upfront.

Her first little argument with me was concerning this piece, 1/3 Here !! 1/3 was the first thing I completed out of 3 pieces she ordered and she pretended to be a "boyfriend" of hers on a separate account (that sadly has since been deactivated;; but it was called heckpoop ) to complain that it didn't look like my art style. I don't remember whether it was on comments on my old art or in status updates but between her main account and heckpoop, she used to spam me with reminders to finish the art faster. Screencap from my drafts of me responding to heckpoop complaining about the art the first time before I made edits. They claimed that it didn't look like everything else I drew (this is false): here. Out of annoyance, I apparently told them that any differences were just from them rushing me.

For reference of my style at the time, I finished this piece, 2/3, for Cat with no feedback from her on her main account or heckpoop. Both 1/3 and 2/3 are still in her gallery on TH today under their respective characters (here's one, I think she sold Grim cause it used to be here too but I think she had both pics under my old deviantart instead of my TH account so I'm struggling to find them;; ). A few days later, she exploded in my DMs. I don't remember specifics but I do remember her making claims that I took so long that her boyfriend left her as if that was my fault (or was my problem even if it were true) and that I owed her every single point she'd given me back. She didn't ask ( I guess forgot to ask more like) to see the progress on the fullbodies (3/3). I WISH I HAD PROOF OF HER EXACT WORDS BUT I MAINLY JUST REMEMBER THIS SHIT CAUSE IT WAS SHOCKING AND I TOLD MY FRIENDS ABOUT IT CAUSE WE THOUGHT IT WAS RIDICULOUS THAT SHE WAS TRYINA GUILT ME INTO A REFUND OVER A FAKE BOYFRIEND RIP- When heckpoop was active, it was an empty ass account with nothing on it, completely obvious as just Cat's second account. No one was tricked. 

More importantly though, I haggled with her, as you do when someone wants a full refund when you've already finished 2 out of 3 of the things they asked for. And I ended up just sending half the points back since I wasn't about to refund finished art she was already using and had made me redraw so many times before. Proof of refund: Here ! In all reality, she didn't deserve as much as I gave her given my progress already on the art but I got overwelmed by what was going on and caved I guess.
I think I told her she should just block me?? But she never did and later she reappeared to give me a weird apology and ask to be friends again which was suspicious as shit since I didn't know her and she'd just attacked me for no reason only 48-ish hours before: sadly my only proof of her being weird is my reply I had in my drafts but never sent for obvious reasons;;
And finally, the fruition being her coming back asking for proof of what I'd drawn for 3/3 (which was just finished lineart at the time when she'd thrown a fit). Because I was bitter and thought she was acting weird, I sent a zoomed in pic that had a massive ass watermark on it so you couldn't see very much and it was obvious it was a WIP. She tried to get me to send a more HQ pic but I refused since she'd already taken a refund from me and I guess I already suspected that her sudden shift into acting so nice was just to steal the lineart. I've replaced my ipad since then so I don't have that file anymore of what I'd drawn her or I'd link it;;
Bonus that I forgot about: she appeared later to commission me again here and I blocked her after it was finished cause I was worried she'd try and get me redo that one too or throw another weird and random fit lmao- So who knows if she woulda tried that shit again but bullet dodged.

I dunno how useful any of this is since my evidence is kinda scattered after almost 4 years of not dealing with her, but it's all I could find. If it's useful, great! If not, lemme know if there's anything else I could do to help get her taken care of. I doubt Cat will be any better in the future if she's willing to steal art these days. I would like to add that while I never stated it anywhere I was also 16 when I was commissioned by Catandaguin, that's why I never asked for money when they refused to send the character.

i originally found this thread 2 years ago and i saw the update from BRAINROT earlier this year, but both times i didn't contribute anything because this person is actively stalking me and trying to terrorize me and my friends and sometimes it's really fucking scary, so i want to say i'm really sorry for that and for not doing this sooner. or at all really, i have never once really tried to speak up like this about her before because of how much she scares me into submission (also being in the position where i have to comb through really old and extensive dms with someone that abused me just to defend myself from them is absolutely ridiculous and not something i wanted to do). i also wanna say that from the bottom of my heart i am so so so deeply sorry that she has hurt both of you like this, especially since both of you were kids like i was when i knew her. it's also shocking to me that one of your experiences seemed to be when i was still friends with her, like why didn't i ever see that? as her friend back then i would have literally never imagined her actually bullying kids online over furry art and it keeps breaking my fucking heart the more i think about it. 

i met Catandaguin back in 2015 and we became the kind of best friends that talk to eachother about literally anything, i was 16 and she was around 23 (i'm turning 24 next week, and she just turned 30 today). i want to corroborate both of your experiences with her since i myselfalsodidmanydifferentartpiecesforCat. she seemed to be very fond of my artwork but only commissioned me, start to finish with art in her hand and money in mine, maybe 3 times total for a grand total of... less than $50?: in 2016when she paid me $20 and tipped me $5 to draw her and her ex's fursonas together (on toyhouse still, uncredited), in2017whenshe paidmea total ofless than $5for a lineart base of her fursona, and then in 2018 when she paid me $5 for art of a feral design she wanted to sell so she could try selling it for more than what the original artist was comfortable with. any other art i drew for her came from her requesting if i could draw such and such, and me saying "yes" because she was my best friend and i loved her, but then finding out realistically i just couldn't. shewouldbugtheshitoutofmeforartsheREQUESTED and guilt tripped me for never working on her stuff despite not even paying or compensating me in any way shape or form for it, all the while i was busy in college, going through IRL stuff, coping with my own deprecating mental health (partially caused from putting up with her), and working on artwork i was actually paid money to draw. understand though that i didn't ask Cat for any kind of money compensation for a lot of these things or really expect her to pay me for anything i did for her, if she wasn't explicitly asking to commission me, because that's how it always is with people i consider friends; my love language is giving people things so i loved to do gift art amongst friends, i even drew that lineart thing as a birthday gift and didn't want her sending me anything for it. in hindsight, though, i think she was very clearly taking advantage of how kind i was to her in order to get free art of her characters. the one time that i explicitly asked her to pay me in return for something was when she asked me to DESIGN her new sona (Omen). she offered topay me at first, didn't really follow up with that and then asked me about helping her do it again. i asked her again about the payment offer and she weirdly hesitated, then didn't follow up with me and eventually had someone else design Omen. i found out later that she apparently talked shit about me for asking her to pay me for my work, even though she offered to... she has also always had a habit of trying to contact artists that don't like her anymore, either regarding artwork that she thinks is still being done for her or regarding a refund. around 2018 she commissioned my boyfriend for a ref sheet since he did one for her ex and she wanted to match, but Cat was extremely nitpicky and critical about it the entire time, specifically with the way he was drawing Valkyrie's boobs? and despite having him make changes to it half a million times she still complained about it behind his back. over a year later, she noticed my boyfriend log into second life and proceeded to message him IMMEDIATELY about some outfit reference sheet for Valkyrie that he suggested he could do (so basically a promise to Cat) when he was still doing that original reference. even if she hates you, she is desperate for art!

i stopped being her friend in early 2019 for my own health and sanity, the art just being a small part of it honestly; she was allover the placeandreallyunstable, she was so torn up over her ex and thought all of us in the friend group hated her. she was extremely suicidal and one day ended up impulsively sending me some of her more important characters at the time because she wanted me to get rid of them, almost like she was planning to die that day (check the owner transaction logs for Valkyrie, Hiraeth, Orion, Beyond, Petrichor and Seiza). she goton mylast nervewhen shecrashed abirthday partywe were having for a friend, and then sent mean "apology"through twitter DMs. she tried reaching out to me6 months after that event to "apologize" again which was really unwelcome. you can see how she kept trying to push me to call with her on discord to talk instead of through text on second life; i was extremely wary and on guard about this because my very abusive mom had literally just done the same thing to me a week prior, in order to guilt trip me. when it finally got through her head that i didn't want anything to do with her anymore, she immediately began shittalking me to everyone she knew and even tried to "cancel" me out of pure revenge. she is overall just an extremely vile and abusive person and i have watched her in realtime befriend people that she KNOWS are abusive because she could get something out of it, i think she might even be currently friends with someonewho'sproudlyputtingthe zeta in their twitter bio. it all kinda made sense after i put 2 and 2 together and realized she pretty much groomed me; she had me exchange f-listswith her, shewantedme todraw Valkyrie'sNSFW reference (NSFW content warning for sergal genital anatomy), and sheevenwanted me tomove in with her when i was 17. there are so many things she did that i haven't even touched on, but i hope what i have shown can demonstrate that she is all around bad news and i don't want anyone else to get hurt by her. there is a whole lot more to my story but i've been so scared of what she could do to me or my friends, and what she HAS done to me and my friends, so for a long time i just haven't talked about any of it. i wanted to just mind my business and have my own space and let Cat have her space in the time we weren't friends but she could never just ignore me, she was always harassing me and friends to the point of getting us kicked out or banned from places on sl

do not let Catandaguin commission you. don't do any kind of business with her. don't even be her friend. just avoid her at all costs.
