Do you have a link/pic of their claimed character "sunset"? I got a lovely freebie a few days back(now a comfort OC, that's named "sunset" and I want to make sure it's only a name in common.
This may be an older beware of mine but an anon user has alerted me to either seeing my character Ashlyn (https://toyhou.se/5291403.-ashlyn), the character in question, on someones toyhouse profile and/or seeing Meowstar/berru on toyhouse. I'm posting this to spread awareness since Ashlyn is extremely important to me and ive spent over $600 on her over the past year. Please know that i do not know the toyhouse username of the alleged toyhouse account or "owner" of Ashlyn's fake profile. Please know that in the past i did buy adoptables over amino and i know there's a bunch of art theft there. When i was buying ashlyn (or any adoptable on amino in general) there was a rule where adoptables MUST have proof of ownership or the post/adoptable would be taken down. That is partially why i bought ashlyn, berru provided proof, as well as any other character ive gotten over amino (ive been there for a few years and this is the only time ive been scammed).

now, some backstory:
October 27th, I was looking for adopts on amino and saw Ashlyn (who is now my fursona), I decided to bid for her. after 3/4 days (oct 31), I sent the coins to her, she sent the art, and that was that. Ashlyn became my main fursona, Berri/meowstar went on with her life, and thats it.
around a month and a half later (dec 15?), I got a DM on Instagram from a moderator of that amino. they told me that Ashlyn was a stolen character, and I was forced to stop using her.
It was December 23 when I found her again. same amino, same character, different person. I commented on the post I was scammed of the character and me and the owner talked for a bit about what I could do. I was unable to get a refund since that person got her with AJ items (they got her in June/july I think?) and I sent the art I made/commissioned and left the chat.
as time went on, I grew more upset since I had an extremely strong connection with ash, and I was contemplating asking the user if I could buy Ashlyn from them when It clicked that since I had a lot of ac I could buy her.
And so, I opened up commissions & sold adoptables. After a few days (dec 26), I raised around 8k ac (roughly $50) to finally buy her. Ispeed told me that they were planning on keeping ash, but decided to compromise with me. And so, I bought Ashlyn again for a second time (at this point I've spent over $65 to buy her sksk).
On January 11, Berri contacted me again, admitting she sold her multiple times & apparently cleared them up. I kept my cool, but I was extremely disappointed and upset with her. all of this is in the stash file.
After that, I've never seen her again. Ive posted bewares on adopt aminos to warn others since she's scammed out of probably 10k+ ac (at least 100 dollars) at this point. she originally scammed me out of roughly 2k, or $20. I've spent $50 in total buying her from the two people.
now, since I said she might also be meowiix, I have a few things to support my evidence.
1. Usernames. They're extremely similar, starting with meow.
2. They have similar art styles. The eye shapes are almost the same, plus on amino 'meowiix' has the same artstyle (provided in stash). Im looking at the eye shapes specifically, theres a 25/75 chance they're the same person.
3. Characters. Meowstar had a post (has since been deleted with her account) trying to commission art of her character 'sunset'. either she's stealing the character, or is the owner.
4. communication. Meowiix & meowstar communicate a lot. ive seen meowstar say something on EVERY post meowiix makes. maybe she made one of the accounts to promote her main account?
now, all I have to say is if you see anyone claiming Ashlyn please note me, dm me on Instagram, anything. I need to know if anyones been using her because she's extremely important to me, especially since I'm planning on commissioning a fursuit of her in the future.
