[Resolved] KiruSpookz / D0GF4NGZ - Minor with NSFW

Hey! So this is a bit off topic, but I understood the post with no real questions but wanted an opinion on a related situation. They have a really nice character on their trade account that I’d like to trade for, but would it still be bad to attempt to trade for a character they own that you’re sure has no nsfw art?
I’m not sure if it would be alright or not (morally??) given the situation surrounding them. ;;’ I totally would’ve offered on Joji without knowing if I saw them before I saw this though,, so that’s a little worrying? 

I’ve never run into a situation like this before so I’m not really sure if interacting with them at all would be bad or what,, 

I am a minor myself, I don’t know if that makes a difference to the scenario.

GroundRiot - I would say it's up to your own discretion. Is it worth the potential risk of the NSFW popping up later? It can be deleted, sure, but that art will always be either in a file archive, possibly saved by someone else, uploaded somewhere else without your knowledge, etc. You can't be 100% confident that NSFW art hasnt been made just because you don't see it. It's a 50/50 grey area. I can only advise you that there's a possibility it could crop up later -- It's a small probability, but I think it can be risky.

Is a phrase you should think over carefully and evaluate through this experience. If you didn't know about Joji, you would have offered. The only characters I know for SURE have NSFW are Joji and Michael, but I'm not omniscient / confident that it's the only characters who may have that content attached. The others might have some form of it attached, and not even I would know unless someone else notices / calls it out.

On the Joji comment, I was thinking that if the image was only hidden I wouldn’t have looked at the image count to know anything was up, just saw a rly cute character :’/ That would’ve been,, a shock lol rip. I’m kinda worried that if it is only hidden, someone will end up buying Joji without knowing anything about the art. I hope it really was deleted fhdj. But I think on that basis, if I keep an eye on image counts compared to the number I can see in the gallery I at least wouldn’t get any nsfw directly attached to the character? I guess it’s something to put more thought into and weigh the risks of.

KiruSpookz - I admit, the first comment made me laugh. 

Thank you for apologizing and owning up to your mistakes. I understand it can be tough to really fully grasp the situation in full, until someone really puts it into perspective how dangerous it is. It can subject you to adults interacting with you in NSFW nature, get innocent adults and the site itself at risk, and overall is really not content someone who is 14 should be making. You endangered other minors into seeing that content by avoiding the age-block filter to upload it anyways. 

I used to always try and gently inform minors (or anyone who's doing something wrong) in PM, but that only works about 30% of the time. Most of the time I'm blocked, ignored, or yelled at. I am sorry that I didn't directly PM you (and that I mentioned it on forums). That should of been my more direct / first approach to be professional, but I was also having a rough few days and didn't want to take it out on you personally. I'll own up to that, that my approach wasn't the most smooth.

I sincerely hope it doesn't happen again. I will write this as resolved in the title, but I am still keeping this PSA active just because there may be adults who don't want to interact with you due to your past of publicly posting NSFW as a minor. Please protect yourself, adults, and other minors from that content.

This is a final, off-topic statement (but the dad in me is worried for you) If any adults (18+) try to interact with you in that way / manner or encourage you to do adult things, please don't let them. Report them to whatever necessary authority there is. I don't know if this is happening which is why it's a vague statement, but it's always important to say this when minors post NSFW or occupy adult spaces -- A lot of minors have been groomed in the past or current present into thinking its okay to exist in those spaces. And I hope that any minor reading this takes those words to heart as well. Protect yourselves.
