👹 「骨蛇鬼」Kotsujaki CS (6/6 upd!) 🐍

Overall Appearance
A Kotsujaki's base appearance is that of a regular Oni yokai, but they have additional human facial features, human proportions and reptilian features. Their size / height is similar average human sizes as well. 

• Horns - usually growing on their forehead
• Teeth - similar to tigers' jaws especially the canines and incisors at the front.
• Fingernails - long and sharp nails grow from their hands, these are retractable like a cat's; they look similar to human fingernails but are stronger and can function like claws.
• Scales - reptilian scales might sometimes be present on the body.
• Snaketail - part of their spine splits off into a tail that is an actual snake (hence the name bones make), they control this snake as a part of their body, and it is capable of bites and inflicting wounds on prey. 

The following information is an elaboration of the above mentioned appearance and traits features, but is not finalized and may be subjected to edits in future updates.

Kotsujaki Forms:

Body:

• Kotsujaki have one body which they use to switch between both their Oni / Human Forms. 
• Generally follows human heights and builds. 
• Skin can be any kind of natural human skin. 

Horns:

• Kotsujaki have horns growing on their heads.
  • These horns are a result of the Bovine features present in a typical Oni.
• Can be any existing mammalian horn shapes and materials. 
• Can also be simple horns of bone. These can pierce through forehead skin or be under the forehead skin. 
• Horns can be any colour.

Jaws:

• Kotsujaki have sharp carnivorous teeth throughout their jaws.
  • These jaws are a result of the Feline features present in a typical Oni. 
• Most specifically, their canines and incisors are similar to a tiger's. 
• Top row canines are generally larger and may stick out when the mouth is closed. 
  • Length of top row canines may vary  between short / medium / long. 
• Bottom row canines are generally smaller and do not necessarily stick out like top row canines. 

Eyes:

• Kotsujaki have one pair of eyes similar to those of humans. 
• Some Kotsujaki eyes may display features not observed in human eyes though. 
• Sclera can be both white or black. 
• Pupil can be rounded (human / tiger) or vertical slits (cat eye) 
• Pupil and iris can be any colour. 

Ears:

• Kotsujaki have one pair of ears.
• Pointed Elf-like ears or Mammalian ears.

  • Are generally located where human ears are located.
• Mammalian Ears (aka Kemonomimi)
  • Can be located where human ears usually are, OR located around the top of the head.
  • Can be any Bovine, Feline or Canine ear type.
  • Have fur which can be any colour / marking.
• There cannot be a pair of human ears and mammalian ears at the same time (i.e. no 4 ears) 

Claws:

• Kotsujaki's hands have sharp claws that protrude from their fingers. 
  • Another result of the Oni's Feline features. 
• Resemble human fingernails but are as tough as bones.
• Are always sharp at the tips. 
• Are retractable with flexible length. 
• Can be any colour / pattern.
• Claws are always present on hands but optional for legs. Wherever present, they can utilized as weapons. 

Mask:

• Kotsujaki's facial features are similar between their Oni / Human forms. 
• In order to make sure their disguise isn't blown when they switch between their forms, most Kotsujaki often wear a mask to obscure their full facial features.

They have the ferocity of a tiger and the cunning of snakes. (more TBA)

Venom
Their snaketails are usually venomous. The strength of the venom produced depends on how much negative emotions they feel (especially irritation, anger and sadness), they can produce venom which they can inject into their prey via their tail's fangs.

The venom can affect prey in various manners, from physical, to emotional or in rarer cases, even psychological or spiritual. Venom effects can range from mild irritation to fatality, and Kotsujaki often use their venom when they hunt. 

Kotsujaki are unaffected by their own venom, and the venom is unique to each individual. Antivenoms can be synthesised, but the ingredients must be sourced from the same individual which produced the venom. 

Illusion
Kotsujaki can "remove" all their yokai and reptilian features to assume a human disguise, however, viewing them in any reflected surface (mirrors, water), or through a camera will reveal their true form. 

The tricky point is that, while a camera reveals their true features, the resulting photograph will not. Unless they had chosen to show their true form, the printed or digital photographs will still show them as a human. Generally, Kotsujaki are wary of what their weaknesses are, so their disguise can be quite hard to break if you aren't prepared.

Diet

• Yokai - Kotsujaki often prey on other weaker or smaller yokai, and smaller monsters / demons as well. Through eating other yokai, they will absorb spiritual energy that sustains their life force.
• Human blood - While not essential for their survival, a Kotsujaki will occasionally thirst for human blood. Drinking human blood increases their strength to abnormally higher levels. However, a little human blood is also required for them to maintain their disguise in Human Form.
• Human food - While also not essential for their survival, Kotsujaki are capable of consuming human food without any known side effects. Not as powerful a food source as consuming spiritual energy, but human food can provide them with some energy if other food sources are scarce. Kotsujaki can also consume human food to simply enjoy the taste.
