Lore/History

Legends of Genies and Unicorns, they had to originate from somewhere right? Yes, they did. Their legends about granting wishes and fantastical feats and being so rare to find it's like lady luck truly had her eyes on you. Djanii, the race or origin for these legends on many worlds, but they don't actually live here among us. They have their own realm, separate yet connected to every realm. Rifts that traverse not only space but sometimes time. Djanii guard these rifts and adventurous ones sometimes peek through them to see what's really on the other side.

The Djanii world is chaotic and often full of creatures that once use to exist but sought refuge here from going extinct. Pools of pure magic scattered at the bottom of caves that look as if the night sky has been caught within them. Radiant sunsets that last far beyond any on Midgard. Fanciful beasts from legends and myths, fearsome, ferocious... dangerous. Djanii are light and quick on their feet because of the dangers.

At birth the Djanii are gifted a set of magical cuffs that are fastened around their ankles. At one point in their long forgotten history these cuffs were indeed shackles of slavery. The cuffs now are more or a tradition than anything else. As the Djanii grow the cuffs morph to show off their flair and personality, sometimes they follow the path of magic other times the cuffs morph with changes in life. Whatever they once were in the past the cuffs are now a mark of pride, and sometimes high fashion, among their people.

Extra Info

Cuffs: removable leg accessories that are attuned and completely unique to the wearer.

Magical Marking: a mark that usually indicates power type. While all Djanii can grant a wish, most do not as it means their death. They instead will use their magical prowess to aid someone in achieving their wish. The mark can be a simple sigil or an elaborate tattoo. When it use it gives off a soft glow.

The Djanii was one of the first created and belongs to me. Originally he didn't have an outfit on, but I added one later that was kind of toga-ish. Djanii clothing can be inspired by any era even fantasy realms as they often travel to different realms/dimension/worlds (depending on how you want to look at it) to help people and creatures make their wishes come true.
