Would you be interested in making a Sluukii?

41 Votes Yes, I would be interested in making one.
11 Votes No, I'm not all that interested, things could be changed a bit.

INFO SHEETS ARE CLOSE TO COMPLETION, SO ARE LAUNCH ADOPTABLES!

Sluukii

" The Sluukii are a race of diverse aquatic creatures which can be found just around everywhere.

At a glance, they seem might seem to be related to some of the mollusks that currently reside on this planet, but that is not the case.

Sluukii are in no way, related to sea slugs or snails despite their far-and-few similarities. "

Sluukii will be a semi-open/closed species with some hints of ARPG in it,

Semi-Open species, as in anyone can make one (if they are a FTO), ARPG as having some activities to do in order to unlock lore/items, and Closed as in nobody else can make one without specified permission.

(However things are bound to change, so the final product might not be like the future envisioned.)

Not really, since this is a work-in-progress, there is no way to obtain one until release. Unless you're part of the helpers, then you're out of luck.

However, we do plan on having a release week MYO event, and FTO events every two months with raffles/adopts inbetween, so keep a eye out for that!

Helpers
All this work could not been done without y'all! Thank you so much!

These creatures are mainly Aquatic, with only a small percentage of them having adapted to land living. Their size will vary, depending on where they live, but generally, they're just a bit bigger than a Blue Whale, however, they prefer to stay in a more manageable size. This is possible due to their cells being "smart" and being able to shrink and expand.

Sluukii, in general, are very flashy and colorful creatures, when young, their colors are a bit dull, but as they grow, the vibrancy of those colors will increase. There are no limits to the shades colors and patterns of Sluukii, though typically they only have a few main colors on their body. Sluukiis without much color or pattern are considered rare or uncommon.

Sluukii are able to gain traits through repeated consumption of items

Here are some of our plans for potential purchaseable items! Feel free to make suggestions!

  1. Blood Vial: Give your Sluukii a new trait through ingestion of another Sluukii's cells

  2. Broken Horn piece: Can be consumed to grow a pair of nubby ice-breakers

  3. Jar of Antennae: Can be used to gain more antennae/upgrade antennae

  4. Poisonous Slug: After consuming quite a lot of these, a Sluukii will gain the "toxic" trait (i.e dribbling venom things! cool poisons ahah)

  5. Concentrated Ink: Special ink harvested from a giant squid, consuming this will allow your Sluukii to gain a dark color

Events

Here are some of our plans for future events! Feel free to make some suggestions!

  1. A one-week MYO event for launch! And along with it, a Gacha/Raffle for some pre-designed Sluukii of high rarity!

  2. NPC creation contest! We need a few different NPC sluukii for different things, and we want the community to create them!

  3. Missions are weekly events that will allow your Sluukii to scavenge for scraps, the currency they use, and for special items they can trade for scraps via "Nessie." some of these missions will require the Sluukii to have specific traits, such as "toxic"

Nessie

The big mama! She will introduce you to all of the events and items! She will also be the "currency exchanger" of the group!
Nessie will also be available to be drawn in events if a person does not own a Sluukii yet, or are still designing their MYO

Clandestino Thank you so much! And yes, there is a discord server, I can send you the link. However, the trait sheets are still a work-in-progress. I also have school keeping me busy, so it's fine!

hikarushirou

Oh no they're cute! I love aquatic critters~

Oakythen

juzosakakura thank you so much! I'm currently looking for a few artists to help me make some art to promote the species and show off their traits. I'd greatly appreciate it if you could find time to create some art! If have any questions, feel free to ask, I'd be happy to help! (A lot of the info is on a discord server, so I can send you a link if needed, and I can also invite you to the toyhouse world if you want to get a better look at the systems we are trying to implement.)

Aaaaaaaaaa, I love these boys, they’re super cute!

Normally, I’d ask if I could help out with the species, but I have a lot going on atm ;w;

Still, I can’t wait to see them when they‘re finished! I’d love to make one of my own ^^

Oakythen

hikarushirou I'm glad that you think that they're cute-looking! It took me a while to find a design that could work with those sorts of traits. We are planning to host a myo/adopt event when the species launches, so would you be interested in that?

Oakythen

Alduinsecretfire we're planning to host a MYO/Adoption event at the launch, so I can add you to a pinglist for that if you want!

polvo

I think they're adorable, too bad I can't work with anything non-humanoid :(

Good luck though

Oakythen

polvo, these creatures actually have a humanoid form too, they’re just not displayed currently, you can check out Emerii if you need a example.

iotaeggy

Ooh! I’d like to be added to the pinglist then, if you please!

KrystalKat

Ooh these look amazing! I'm assuming there are going to be more types of families other than the polar, so might I have a suggestion? Possibly a cave family (most would live in damp caves with lakes or pools in them).
They would be able to climb and and cling on the cave walls but it would often be too hard or too big to climb back down, so little gliders like these could be inherited and could be retractable. Untitled54_20200109165412.png?width=375&

They aren't webs (but can be). Cave families could provide a substance thick enough to hold their body weight for a few moments before slowly gliding down into the nearest body of water. By the way, could there any gills located on their body?
I hope you liked my very unoriginal ideas :)
