Hi all! I’m Red, and I thought I should finally upload a thread for the closed Species I created; Ringbones! They don’t have a tonne of lore or anything yet, but I’m just gonna post what I have!

General Lore and Information
Ringbones are an explorer species, a lot like humans. They often enjoy travelling around the many galaxies they know of, and even the ones they don’t, searching for other forms of life and/or planets that could support life for them. Orginating from the Milky Way galaxy, on the planet Mercury, but now living on Neptune, Pluto, Jupiter, Venus, and even Earth in our galaxy, Ringbones are one of the most common alien species known to man. Their species Ambassador lives on Earth, and her name is Misha.
Oddly, Ringbones are more likely to speak English than the language their planet uses. Each planet has its own language, the same way Earth has a new language for each country. Misha, the ambassador, speaks over 9,000,000 languages in order to advocate for herself and her people better. (Her main two are English and Mercurian.)
Their rings - aka their namesake - is a physical representation of their souls and minds. If a Ringbone were to fracture/crack/break their rings, they could die, or suffer severe brain damage. Now, this isn’t exactly easy to do, since they’re made of star particles, that feel like sand to the touch. Their consistency/hardness changes depending on the intent of the person going to touch them. Ringbones have an ability to sense the feelings - but not thoughts - of the beings around them. Anger and a raised hand often results in rings morphing into a plexi-glass-like material, that shatters into pieces upon heavy/strong contact, for example.
When Ringbones originally came to Earth, they were certainly not greeted with smiles and open arms. Humans saw them as invaders and did everything they could in order to keep them away. After several years of arranged meetings and seeing the Ringbones avoid battles, the humans realized they did come in peace, and welcomed them.
Rarities and Universal Traits:
There are 4 rarities of Ringbones. Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Mythic. The higher the rarity, the more funky-looking these aliens tend to become. Mythic level Ringbones often resemble some sort of God.
Universal Traits:
There are some traits that all people of this species posess. They are as follows:
- Abnormally coloured skin and hair
- (Meaning colours like blue, green, pink, yellow, orange, etc)
- Pointed elven ears
- Some sort of ring/halo
- Anatomical variations from humans
- Females have three breasts as oppose to 2, and their legs are naturally a little rounder/thicker
- Males have claws instead of nails, a nose that is flat to their face with nostrils and scales (these resemble dragons or an alligator), and sometimes even develop horns, depending on their rarity
- Smooth skin, almost like that of a dolphin when dry??
- Sharp teeth, laid out in two rows (almost like that of a shark)
- Soles of their feet have lil pads, similar to that of a dog or cat
