MYO Event
9/27 - 10/31To celebrate the opening of their home Discord server, The Lookouts, I'm running a Free MYO event that'll run through October 31st. In order to claim your MYO, please comment here or join the Discord and follow the event details! Anyone joining the server during this time will also get 5 ✨ (the discord currency) to use on trait upgrades. MYO spots needs to be claimed by 10/31 and MYOs designed and submitted here or to the discord server by 11/30.
Event MYOs may have up to three uncommon traits or one uncommon trait and one super rare trait.
If you'd like a more decked out No'kah, you can earn the right to upgrade traits on the Discord Server.
The No'kah are a nomadic species that hop dimensions with the snap of their fingers. They tend to clump in family units, although they will, at times, break away to start a new clan. More often than not, No'kah that have hopped into human realms have been mistaken for spirits or demons, and as they always attempt to have as little of an effect on their new surroundings as possible, they've done little to combat this perception.
Masks
They appear humanoid, but the masks that appear to be covering their faces are actually a part of their genetic make-up and cannot be removed. As they grow older, the masks stretch and evolve. Younger No'kah will have tiny, dainty masks, and older No'kah will have larger, more ornate masks. Family clan leaders sometimes have masks that are so heavy that they can barely move without "skipping," a technique that involves jumping quickly from one dimension and back again, using the warp to push themselves in a direction.
Horns
No'kah don't always have horns, but when they do, other No's notice. More horns often mean more status, with horned No'kah often commanding more respectable positions in the clan.
Common horns: short and three or fewer
Uncommon: Longer, up to four
Super rare: Long and numerous!
Hair and Tails
No'kah hair and tails come in three distinct varieties. Each of these counts as a separate trait, so you can mix and match.
Common: stringy
Uncommon: choppy
Super Rare: Feathery
Eyes
Their eyes may not sparkle like diamonds (usually), but they are often very distinct, in a kind of... dark... soul-sucking sort of way.
Common: human-like, or fairly close to it
Uncommon: strange designs, slits, stars or shapes
Super Rare: multiple pupils, completely black, completely white
Clothing
As for clothing, they tend to pick up fashion from new worlds without putting the last one down. Their wardrobes are a mix-mash of robes and leathers and metals, sometimes fashionable, sometimes not.
The Lookouts
(You're welcome to use them in your own stories, but if you'd like to fit into their home world...) Because of their natural dimension-hopping abilities, they're often picked up for employment by Watchers, a sect of mysterious, seemingly all-seeing entities, becoming agents in an inter-dimensional battlefield.
