They are called laughing gungs. Weird face smiley bois I love them so come take a look, they are a cs for now

The laughing gungs originate from the laughing virus,
or LV. LV is a deadly virus, particularly to mammals, that
target the body's nervous system essentially taking over the
brain. the effects of this virus include loss of sanity, high
fevers, violent behavior, & in worse cases death. on top of that
its not uncommon for mutations to occur in victims exposed
directly to, or for long periods of time to LV. the laughing gungs
are the result of reptile tests. not much is known about the tests;
however the product is quite apparent. the laughing gungs themselves
are viruses, meaning they do not have genders nor are they considered
living. they require other animals to to "reproduce". they do not infect
the parent host, instead plant virus cells in them which gather cells
of a specific region eventually bursting from the host often killing
the host in the process. the gung birthed from the host will have the
physical characteristics of the host but all gung have the same
interior. Gungs typically only attack mammals excluding marine, apes,
monkeys, & humans as they are less likely to successfully reproduce with
them. laughing gungs can be trained to perform complex tasks & mimic
emotions sense they are highly intelligent however do not forget they do
not actually feel emotions, rather they learn to respond in such manners
if one so desires to teach them.
