[CS] Gnarles ♡ FINALLY DONE!

Strange creatures about the size of a kangaroo have been popping up all over the world!!! These new animals- named "Gnarles" are unlike anything else living on the earth, their secrets yet to be fully discovered by humans. A few things about them are known though. For starters, they have a defence mechanism wherein they have two bodies- an outer body and the main body. The outer body seemingly swallows the main body to protect it (Thus the animal's name)- but no actual digestion takes place. The outer body isn't a separate entity and is more comparable to a turtle's shell. Further helping the turtle comparison is the fact the outer body is made of a material as tough as a shell. Despite this strength, however, it is as flexible as skin. The main body is soft and squishy and easily damaged- if a Gnarl comes out of its outer body around you it is a great sign of trust.

Gnarles consume a perplexingly varied diet. Those who like underwater eat seafood, while those on the land can be herbivores, carnivores and everything in between. Most curious of all are reports of those who consume "magical" sources of energy- dreams, other being's energies, etc. but these haven't been confirmed by science yet and are often brushed off as baseless rumours. 

They like the company of their kind, but also have no issues with being around humans. 

Instead of having a species sheet, these benefit more from a small amount of information on their traits and their general aesthetic. First off, a Gnarles' anatomy is as follows:

As explained in the "LORE" portion, Gnarles have two forms, an "in" and an "out", like a turtle's shell, or a kangaroo's pouch, the Gnarl can pop their main body in and out of their outer body. Generally, the main body has more patterns than the outer body, but this isn't always the case. Gnarles' appearances change depending on their environment; a Gnarl who lives under water will not have the same ear or eye shape as one who does not. They can have scales, fins, wings, among a variety of other features as long as they are distinguishable as a Gnarl. All Gnarles have pupils. Their pupils can come in a variety of shapes; hearts, skulls, circles, diamonds, etc.  Gnarles are always colourful!

There is no such thing as rarity with this species.
