I feel like in 2019 I want to get more actively involved with other species as well, and what's the better way to find them than hearing people's recommendations! I usually prefer posting these kind of threads to elsewhere but I feel like with CS talk it's sadly the safest choice to just post this here and I apologize.
Open, semi-open and closed are all fair game, although I prefer people suggesting me things they'd imagine me being interested in rather than advertising just whatever.
Things I really particularly like

You don't need to limit things to just the "really like" list! As long as they're not on the "not looking for" list I'll take a look at anything!!

They have anthro forms if that's what you would like. They can shapeshift into anything. You want one that looks like a mess? You can make one like that. Also, they can have any gender and sexuality as well. I hope you consider these
i saw a user already suggested them in your bulletin, so i hope you dont mind the self-rec since theres some new info/stuff thats happened since then hjsdfhjk i have a species called tentakitsunes that i co-own with friends of mine! here is the visual trait guide, the (optional) lores, the toyhouse world, and the da group. we also have a discord that we post pretty actively in along with other users :D
they hit a few of your likes:
- easy to draw
- myo events (its a newer species, but so far theres been events monthly. there will be one this month as well)
- active/friendly community (mostly in the discord chat. theres free art opportunities there too). we started doing prompts as well and theres one for february!
- fur is allowed, any kind of markings are acceptable, optional paw feet (so you can have a full human-like/full anthro/mixed human and anthro tk)
- they have two optional feral forms. one is a fox with tentacle tails and the other is an octopus. they also have a temporary human form for blending in!
- most are rather tame in design, but with the allowed traits youre definitely able to create more monstrous tks! the species itself has a lot of freedom for regular slots, and for crossbreed slots theres even more freedom, so you could have wings/hooves in those cases along with other things!)

birthday I don't mind at all! I really like how freely you're allowed to design your characters, it's definitely something I appreciate!!
you should check out fawna ! its mainly a da based group, though there is an decently active discord server. There a myo event coming up this month and pretty much all of the adopts are free. theres a coin system for adding/removing traits for your fawna.

I can recommend Catsunes they're pretty fun and easy to draw. There's a DA group and a very active Discord community
And if you don't mind this suggestion I have a species called Florabuns. We're pretty new and I'm constantly working on adding assets and events. We have a DA group and a Discord as well
I'm working on a species which hits a few of those points but it's not ready yet, do you want me to get back to you when it is?
