Introduction

Hello~

You may have known me for making a species nearly a year ago, but I'm back to species making, since I felt like doing it again. I have just planned that out when I was at school, so yeah. This species is based on stained glass, and yup, they are alive.

Hope you enjoy looking over this.~

Vitrails (VITT-raell) are a race of flat, avian-like creatures whose bodies are made out of stained glass. They are lightweight, and can fly freely at will. Vitrails are commonly found in urban areas, especially inside of gothic buildings. Vitrails are immortal, although they can only die if they fully break apart, since they are made out of glass, and glass is considered fragile. As vitrails are as thin as paper, they only have two sides, and therefore, they look the same on both. Vitrails are considered as the monsters of trickery, and are known to be mischievous when humans are around. However, they are said to make good pets, and can create anything made out of stained glass, as long as they are trained enough to do so. Vitrails are also small, and they are about the size of a hamster, though it is rare for one to be as large as a rabbit. Vitrails are not known to eat anything, and are not hungry at all. In fact, vitrails have no known predators, since when eaten, it will be harmful to the one who consumes a vitrail. Vitrails do not reproduce through mating, new ones are always made from mythical colored flames. Newly-born vitrails are known as “Flameling”, which refers to their birth from fire. They start out as tiny as a grasshopper, and their body is extremely fragile that they cannot leave their home, but after about a year, they begin to mature, and begin to become more durable, though they are still likely to break. The movements of vitrails are often stiff, which causes them to have poor flight. They are only known to fly at a short distance, which makes them prone to harmful obstacles Their only known self-defense is dancing, which can cause their attackers and those who would harm them to get hypnotized, and cause them leave. The name means "Stained Glass" in French, hence their stained glass appearance.

tRAITS AND MUTATIONS

Vitrails come in many varying appearances, and the traits vary on each. Vitrails are commonly found with mostly common traits, though ones with much rarer traits are found occasionally. In addition, a vitrail might be born with mutations, though they are considered to be extremely rare.

I want to heAr your thOughts + critique

I am seeking to hear what you think about this species. Should I make them Open? Semi-Open? Semi-Closed? Closed? What should I do to improve this species? Should I add more info? I also want to hear your critiques, just don't be too harsh. Thanks!

Vitrails are a semi-open species

As a semi-open species, you are allowed to make as many vitrails as you want. However, while you have unlimited access to common traits, you are limited to only 2 rare traits at a time. You also cannot use Legendary traits without buying first. You cannot make a vitrail with mutations, as these are only for adoptable vitrail designs. Please do NOT create vitrails just to sell them as adopts.

Voting wrapped up

So, to wrap up the voting, it seems like open and semi-open are tied, so if at least one person chooses one of them, then I will make the final decision.

Lilina

Okay.

So finally, due to the votes, I decided to make this species semi-open. Stay tuned for updates!
