Oh hey, my mom was adopted as well and maybe a year or two ago (I have a very loose concept of long-term time whoops) managed to get in touch with her birth father through a lot of random chance circumstances (like having someone in his extended family who had some interest in genealogy and happened to have posted family history stuff online)! Congrats on managing to get in touch with your birth father as well! :D
I'm actually hoping to get into comics creation since I have a dream to make my own in-depth webcomic someday (going on two or three years of planning at this point), so I'd love to work on this with you! c: I definitely already have an overall image in mind for this, too, so I think it'd be cool to work on! Here's my art thread/commission info, with art samples included, and my twitter (linked in-thread) has a bit more for you to check out... though for a comic sort of thing instead of a single illustration, I'd definitely be simplifying my style and making it more streamlined. I could do colored/slightly shaded stuff, with a bit of background detailing, and 5-7 panels for $100 or below (we could work out the exact details) as long as there aren't multiple highly complex poses or anything!
