Maybe you could try to get inspired to underrated cool animes that almost nobody and almost everyone remember? ^^
I plan on writing a dark slice of life light novel series (still need a title) and while I do have two main characters, I need to fill out the rest of the cast. Here’s what the story is currently about: Lila, a girl from the slums of Detroit, ends up going to an elite private school when her teachers, friends and family save up enough money to send her. She is terribly bullied due to her background and blindness in one eye due to an orbital fracture due to getting dragged into gang fights. However she meets Yukine, a man born into the Yakuza, the illegitimate child of the head of the Akemi family and an exchange student who is in the same year as her. The two quickly bond due to Yukine’s desire to protect and Lila’s kind nature and form a friend group of five misfits at the academy. I need a group of bully characters and three misfits to join the friend group, I had the idea that one of the friend group was actually an assassin who was sent by the Akemi family to get rid of Yukine, however they choose to not fulfill their duty due to the welcoming vibes of the friend group. For a 'mean girl' (design) maybe something like a manipulative girl? Sweet around teachers and parents but can cry on queue and really acts like she'd rather kill off the poor than actually help them. Or, she'd rather make the 'poor' people who are underpaid and its basically slave labor.

Perhaps for a misfit a stout 4'9" teenager whose whole family is colorblind so they're small and they never make their outfits match very well. With no one to comment on it as well as strange hobbies (ie taking any creepy dare, eating mints in cold water and laughing at everyone else's mirror pain-) they kind of grow into an awkward outcast.

I don't think its a good idea to put a red-head as a mean girl that might offend people I'm a red-head and I got slightly offended at that comment one above but I can offer a title for this. "The Sad Life That is Me" or " Battle of the Past"

Ok, I have one idea and it can work both as a bully or as an ally, depending on how you develop him

- Age: One year older than Yukine
- Nationality: Italian
Andrea is one year older than Yukine and Lila. He was the feared man of the second year of the school. Born into the heart of the Italian Mafia of Detroit, everyone knew he was untouchable due to his money and connections. He enjoyed his status, he always had. Even as he was small, liked to watch the gang wars (You could use this to have a connection to Lila, he could have injured her or actually aided her as she was a bystander, even make it a slight romance triangle). When he grew older, his father, the leader of his sector thought that some proper education and contacts of his own would help his son. However, as Andrea was a problem child, few would try to talk to him, much less get close to him. However, with the arrival of Yukine and Lila, he finally has someone to connect with. In which way is still not decided, he could try to talk to him as they have things in common, or he could consider him a rival and turn his poor treated agression towards him. Finally, Yukine has made somewhat of an impact in the Detroit mafia. Andrea's father has the suspicion Yukine was sent by the Yakuza in order to wrestle control of the Detroit underworld away from him, and plans to use Andrea to make sure the Akemi family doesnt have a chance at succeding in that endeavor

Appearence: Tall, average weighted, red haired, Cuban, wears retrainers, uniforms that match her school's laws, normally wears winter clothes even on winter days
Esmeralda is a 6th-grader who had gender complications from birth. Esmeralda is the star of on original literature series where it takes place in a Cuban middle school where you have to wear the weirdest uniforms (like clothes from Japan or long Suess hats or lacey boots) or face detention by the meanest principal (spoilers, they're a male) in the country. They were always thinking they have no gender and the clothes they wear should not depend on being a girl. They've always got time for homework and uses school like their very own residence.
After reading this, I was thinking, maybe it would be interesting if yukine had a non illegitimate sibling who is a part of the bully group, it could be an interesting foil for yukine since yukine would have to deal with this person both in school and at home. I feel it would add a lot of possibilities for the story.
I’d think they’d try to be somewhat classy, and try to seem like they are better than yukine. Appearance wise I’m thinking something similar to this character from the uncanny counter, especially hair wise.
Although this person is Korean, so I’d think their appearance would be slightly different than what I have shown above if they were in the akemi family.
