Iso's OC Question of the Day

well now they put the may 6th stuff up finally but now it's too late ):< but here's a thing inspired by yesterday's days anyway

Q118. Are any of your OCs involved in the military in any way, or any sort of in-universe equivalent of one?

Lausac was previously part of his planet's military, as all able-bodied Ardesians automatically were. He took pride in it for a while until the rampant classism present started to wear on him even moreso than it did before becoming part of the military, but it wasn't like there was anything he could do to change it. Fortunately, it was around that time that Hadris swooped in and fucked everything up for the better, prompting Lausac to pledge his undying allegiance to him.

On that note, being an evil overlord and all means that Hadris naturally has an army of his own! Service is strictly voluntary and there are all sorts of different positions available to take advantage of the wide variety of species and powers present. His life's pretty much a big game that he's the final boss of, after all, so of course you're going to have your DPS and your tanks and your healers, so on and so forth.

Ochotnik, like other Monster Mages, was employed by a Monster King before she wound up on Celestella, but she was really more of an assassin than something more honorable or even just organized. Not that Monsters are known for their honor... I mean, their war is pretty much just a bunch of rich assholes giving loads of money to other assholes to kill their opposing rich assholes, so their militaries aren't quite militaries... but still worth noting!

That's basically it! I don't have a lot of militaries in my stories just because the worlds in question tend to be really peaceful or really fantasy and tend not to have organized things like that even when there is some sort of underlying conflict or danger.

Like half of them, I just realised.

First off there's my Guild guys, which has about 15% of all my characters in it. The Guild is basically a fighter's guild that got out of hand, conquered a large piece of land, and now has is synnonymous with 'asshole army' to the outside world. My main Garry's in it too. 

Then there's my separate characters. Nelor and Lux used to be in the dragon military to fight their own village in order to end a petty war. Chris used to be in Heaven's military department that keeps the city safe from internal crime and functioned as a guard before he was fired. I've more to list but my brain is fried and doesn't want to cooperate orz

Q116. Which OC of yours is the most likely to make their password "password"? Whose passwords are so secure that they can never remember them?

Calik would probably use the most obvious of passwords, maybe not blatantly password, but something similarly easy to guess. Poor kid has enough trouble with other complicated things, he doesn't need his passwords to be hard to remember too. XD Sam would likely have the most secure passwords, considering he can control technology and could automatically generate ridiculously complicated passwords on the spot. He probably wouldn't remember any of them either because he'd just have the algorithms for them loaded into his high tech glasses and would change them all the time to be secure anyway. ^^;

Q117. Which OC of yours has the most uneventful life?

Oddly enough, it might be Jessica. As crazy as Conner's (her boyfriend) life is, she tends to never be involved in any of it in some strange coincidence. She just has a normal life of dating him and tending to her garden.

Let's see... Addle is a knight of Crystaless, Argent is a Lieutenant Commander of the Aaquanixie Marshal Guard, everyone in the Enlightened is a part of a military cult organization (although not all of them are soldiers), Dremvati is the General of the Daliarivon Army (although they're very inactive in this time of relative peace), Karzuta is a fleet captain of basically a space army, Rath and Estellia are part of a militarized group of demon hunters, and Tiffany and her profile-less team are in a small battalion before joining the Daliarivon Army.

Gonna list out parents and their kids to make it more efficient. XD No link means no profile yet. Only listing if parent has a profile and not backwards if kids have profiles but not their parents yet.

Alcata + Zul = Tyler and Tommy

Jack's son is Isaac, no mother because Isaac was created directly by the god of life... so since they're technically both created directly they could be siblings, but Jack raised Isaac and they treat each other like father/son.

Dmitri adopted Mira, but has a biological daughter named Kimi with Ista eventually

Goeirthe had a son named Loros with his wife, Lucala, but both are deceased and I don't plan on making profile for them; he's taking care of Loros's son, Terakuin though.

Hikari + Shinda = triplets: Shima, Takahashi, and Rai

Joy + Ragnarok = Lancer, Marquis, Cyan, Argent, Cornell, Shrike, Tilia, Turul, Freyr, Shakuru, and Fathom (lots of babies :P)

Kira's son is Mac, no father, although people tend to call him the son of the god of life

Victoria + Cassius = Lee, although it's more of a "we animated this child together as necromancy parents" because zombies can't really make baby zombies normally. :P

Noelle + Hank (who will likely not get a profile or be added on to hers) = triplets: Austin, Caleb, and Adrian

Riley + Kristine = Derek, Kally, and Alec

Tymerth had a mate and a brood, but they've all since been killed by the Enlightened

Q120. Which OC of yours is the most prone to losing things?

Istra is extraordinarily forgetful and loses things all the time. They'll lose their own stuff, they'll lose your stuff, they'll lose the stuff they've never even seen... their sheer ability to misplace stuff and then forget about it is astounding. It doesn't help that they tend to eat things to store them (their anatomy is... complicated). Sometimes people. Listen, just don't trust them with anything.

aka who plays on for fun and who plays on for glory in smash 4

For the most part, I think all of my OCs would just play video games for fun, even the ones who are in to competitive scenes! Barazia, Etoile, Euanthe, Hellscream, Loligo, Ochotnik, Seraye, and Yenzhal are probably the ones most likely to play just for the sake of VICTORY and competition.

how to stop lora from doing something:

step 1: tell her that whatever she's doing is annoying someone/hurting someone's feelings etc.

step 2: ...that's it.

even though lora isn't really affected by mistakes (she believes we can always learn from them), she'll stop doing something and never do it again if someone just tells her that what she's doing is upsetting someone else. they could just be lying, but it'll work anyway cuz lora's so freakin gullible.

apart from her, i guess calvin gets discouraged pretty easily. he has like zero confidence in himself, so sometimes he won't even try something, out of fear that people will laugh at him if he messes up. somebody give him a hug pls

uhhh... if they have, then i remember nothing about those dreams lol

Q122. Which OC of yours has the strangest life?

Pretty much all of my OCs have had relatively strange lives, and even the ones who have had fairly normal lives I could make sound pretty strange. I guess in the context of their universes, the ones with the oddest lives are:

• Chalcedony Lepidolite: Her life was pretty normal up until recently, when her roommate who was Real Deep into the dark arts vanished out of nowhere. Then all of a sudden some energy being swooced right in and asked to possess her frilly outfits to avoid being caught by the Space Police. Then it turns out that there's a demon in town fucking everything up, an entity with a higher awareness who likes to claim souls living right there on campus, so on and so forth. Her life takes a pretty abrupt 180 from average to bizarre, and she couldn't be happier about it!
• Dicro Corrune: His childhood was pretty normal up until he noticed a man who looked a lot like an older version of him off in the distance. After that Xs appeared on the backs of his hands, various body parts and internal organs vanished, and his family became increasingly distant until they vanished entirely and his memories of them started rapidly slipping away. In the middle of all of this he was also briefly whisked away to another dimension (but only his soul was, technically??) and informed by some godly being that he could claim people's souls and possess them and had a whole bunch of cool magical powers now. Then Older Him Guy came into his life to try and help him out, but only fucked him up more because in the process of telling Dicro that in a few years he was going to be embroiled in a battle royale called the Competition alongside everyone else in his world, Older Him Guy - something called a Mirror?? anyway his name is Spades - made sure to emphasize that he sort of won the previous Competition thousands of years ago and then fucked everything up. Then Dicro wound up claiming some kid's soul, discovering that he had the ability to travel through the subconsciouses of others. And then the Competition happened, he died a lot, there were a bunch more Competitions, he became buds with Purple Satan and is going to help him conquer Entirety, he started dating a reality-warping sheeple, enrolled in a college in Hell... it's been a wild ride.
• Langer Raton: Langer was an orphan and quickly befriended a fellow orphan who happened to be the host to a powerful demon. Then he wound up becoming friendly rivals with an obscenely powerful Demon Lord who kept taking mercy on him because he was obsessed with Langer's apparently gorgeous eyes. And THEN he wound up dating who turned out to be a Higher Angel, gave up one of his eyes for the sake of friendship, and then got kidnapped by a different angel who was actually a higher being instead of an angel and then he wound up in servitude to said not-angel except as some weird angelic chinchilla!! Then he wound up in the same Reality as Dicro where he befriended some dude with a lot of guns and some chick with a baseball bat who ran a doll shop. Now he's getting close to seeing his old friends again, though it's been so long that he doesn't even remember his own name...
• Zosime Versephon: kid gets bored and frustrated with life, moves to a prison planet, gets adopted by a murderous hell robot powered by the souls of angels after fixing him up, goes on dangerous adventures with him... it is not a very ordinary lifestyle. or a safe one for that matter but yolo!!

Q123. Which OC of yours has the darkest sense of humor?

Probably Hellscream, shocking no one. He's a murderous death machine built by demons to spite all that's good in the world, so needless to say his sense of humor follows suit. He's the kind of person who's probably going to make a bad joke when he kills someone and then proudly discuss it afterward. Anything is fair game to him, and the more horrifying something is the more likely he is to find it absolutely hilarious. Elhar is pretty similar to Hellscream in that respect. And a lot of respects, really...

Ouray also has a pretty morbid sense of humor, though in their case it's much less malicious. Sharing their body with a powerful demon has made them very relaxed and unafraid since it's pretty hard for them to die (of course, they eventually did anyway), so they joke around a lot about death and injury. This aspect resonates in their reincarnation, Dicro, who has no need to fear injury or death and has used this strength to embrace deathbed puns and the most vicious slapstick humor around.

You could say Muri has a dark (heh) sense of humor, but all of her wacky jokes about eating people and subjecting their souls to eternal darkness aren't jokes. She just has a very whimsical and flirtacious way of speaking that might lull someone into security by making them think she's just messing around... but, of course, that's just according to plan! ♥

Q120. Which OC of yours is the most prone to losing things?

Reagan would lose everything in his home if he didn't have a housemaid to keep everything organized. He always picks up things, uses them, and then puts them down places he'll never remember. And it's pretty impressive how good he is at losing things or just forgetting where everything is considering the place he lives in only has... 3 rooms. XD He's too busy being a genius to bother with organization.

Q121. Which OCs would play video games for fun and which ones would play to win?

Sam, Jeremy, and Tabitha play PvP on a team, and while all of them do enjoy playing various games for fun, Sam and Tabitha are more concerned with winning than Jeremy is. Sam doesn't mind losing, but if he's playing on his team he can be very ruthless to make sure his team succeeds. Tabitha is extremely gung ho about winning and ultra competitive while playing, but the second the game is over she actually doesn't care that much who wins or loses. Jeremy just likes playing and only plays to win because he knows his teammates like winning a lot. XD

Q122. Which OC of yours has the strangest life?

Hm... the vast majority of my characters live in a setting where things that are normally strange are completely normal. Maybe Volkmar has the weirdest crap to deal with. On the surface he's a kid being raised by his uncle because his mother died from childbirth and his father is wanted for mass murder. Then he's got his strange important protagonist half-human half-reptile-demon heritage and has to deal with being a Devil Whisperer, which lets him see literal dead people that try to kill him and devour his soul. And he's got his guardian devil to help him along. And he tries to be semi-normal while living in the midwest but of course he can't do that because his best friend is a potential host to the god of life and Volk's bandmates consist of a shark demon, a flying reptile demon, an aristocratic zombie, a bunch of ghostly opera singers, and his almost completely normal cousin. Hm... maybe poor Conner has the strangest life, because he barely has anything to do with all this supernatural nonsense he's forced to live with. XD

Probably Demi, because... Demi

Sorry about the lack of question yesterday, guys! I wound up being out of the house away from my laptop pretty much all day and then fell asleep afterward. So, here's a question based on yesterday!

Q124. Which OC of yours would be the most likely to blame someone else for something that they did?

Probably Barazia. Despite his years, he's not particularly mature and hates admitting any of his faults (I mean, what faults?????) or owning up to his mistakes (I mean, what mistakes????). So, even if it's fairly obvious that he did something, he'll still try and pin it on someone else or otherwise make excuses to make it seem like he had no choice, it was because of someone else, he's just a victim of coincidence, etc.

Q124. Which OC of yours would be the most likely to blame someone else for something that they did?

Well, Goady tells me it's me, because i'm "immature". But I think that's not true!
