"Why the long face, Anu?"

The fire dancer looked at the inquiring Keeper, while running his fingers through his hair as he would always do when thinking deeply.
"As expected, I'm afraid", he replied.
Seeing how Simba cluelessly tilted his head in response, he went on to an explanation.

"I'm not sure if I'm ready to remember everything. But, at the same time... I don't know if I will remember anything, at all."
"Have you changed your mind?"
"I haven't. I still want to find out what happened that night... and why the only memory I have is of the circus going ablaze."

A sudden silence fell between the two of them. Anushka's sharp gaze analyzed the small creature intently.

"Simba... Do you really not know what happened?"
The Keeper shook his head. "I don't."
"Are you really sure you're not hiding anything from me, to spare me?"
"I wouldn't do that!", Anushka narrowed his eyes disapprovingly. "I mean, I've done it before, but I promised I wouldn't do it again! A lion will keep their promises, we're prideful."

Anushka sighed, allowing himself to ease up a little; it seemed Simba was speaking the truth.
"I wonder what will come first to me; the memories of my past, or the memories of that night."
"Well, it's no use worrying over things you don't know, right? You're thinking of the worst case scenery, but it might not be bad as you expect it to be."
"'Scenario'", he corrected. "Where did you learn this expression?"
"Alka taught me!", Simba puffed his chest, proud. "She uses some difficult words sometimes and I think they're just so cool. Iaso was frowning at me for asking, though."

Anushka couldn't help but giggle at the statement.
"With you all around, I won't have much time to overworry, will I."
"Nope!"
"Thanks for being with me so far, Simba. Let's keep going for it, until we find out the truth."

'Even though you don't understand it all too well...
I know I'd never make it on my own.'
