Vonius's prestige (rider > companion) [TURNED IN]
Show the bond that has formed between Rider and dragon. What sort of dynamic do they have together? Do they get along well, or are they always bickering?

Kaiser: ?

Rel: ?

Readjusting the strap over his shoulder, Farrell squinted up at the large abode with his one good eye. It took him half a day to get to the gate alone, he didn't want to even talk about the trip from there to the front door when he thought he was already scott free. Hard labor wasn't anything he was unfamiliar with, but he still had his stamina limits when it came to traveling without a break.

Despite his grumpy looks and rough personality however, there was a soft spot for children dragons in his heart he couldn't ignore easily. The dragon egg on his back having pleaded to be guided to their rightful rider, Rel took it upon himself to take up the job. He already made enough money for rent and food for the week, one free job to a legless egg wouldn't hurt anything.

Hoping these big wigs would at least spare him a seat and some water for his trouble, he knocked away on the front door.

The manor was abuzz, maids and butlers left busy as they shuffled back and forth. It was always a busy time in the manor, but it was slightly more busy as Sir Aubin had returned home and they wanted him to feel welcome and have everything he needed. Aubin didn't mind, currently carrying his youngest son on the way to the ballroom to play the piano when a knock came from the door.

"Someone here, daddy?" Vonius asked, his big duo colored eyes staring at his father, before back to the wyrm dragon who was following behind them.

"Not that I'm aware of..." Setting the small down, The older blond haired male answered. He knew the butlers were currently busy and answering the door himself was fine, as long as Kaiser the dragon was close by. He wouldn't let anything harmful come of the family. "May I help you... sir?"

A red haired humanoid stood there, looking tired. He had an egg on his back, Aubin's own duo colored eyes looking at it, then back to the person at the door. "Are you here to deliver an egg to one of the workers?"

Well, at least they were swift to answer despite all the bustling that could be glanced at through silhouettes. Mistaking the one in front of him for those other workers, Rel scowled at the hesitation. He understood well enough since he was built leaner and only trimmed his hair on occasion, but that didn't mean he had to like it. "One sec," he huffed rather rudely, holding up a finger to listen to the egg against his back. "Maybe? Lookin for someone named Vonius, delivery is for them. Go get 'em for me would ya?" Making a shooing motion, he either wanted to hurry the business up so he could take a seat, or hurry and get kicked out so he could just sit on the steps for a bit.

Getting growls from one side of the male's legs, the placid face frowned now at the visitor. He spoke no words, but the wyrm dragon with a metal skull did. "It is very rude to speak to the owner of this estate like a common fool egg or not. Do not mistake his kindness to keep you from waiting as a sign of servitude."

"No mean, Kaiser." The small Vonius told the dragon, rubbing his snout as the dragon calmed down. Vonius did look up to his father with such big eyes, wanting the egg but knew it was rude to ask for things out right unless given the option to.

"That is my son." Aubin replies directly, placing a hand on the big eyed child who made sparkly eyes at the plain colored egg. That could be inside? More noodles like Kaiser? Drippy noodles? Horses? So many possibilities.

"Daddy, can have?" He asked, while tugging on the darker colored pants. Aubin debated it, but ended up nodding.

"I am weak to my youngest son, so your ill words will be forgotten. Take rest in one of the guest bedrooms, Vonius will be up shortly to claim his egg." Vonius wanted it now, making such big eyes at the spherical item, but listened to his dad as he watched the other come in. He just needed to get settled in his room, and then he could go get the egg. Maybe if he waited outside the door it would go sooner

The kusarigama at his waist being the first thing Rel thought of when he heard the growls, he at least had enough sense not to go for it before looking around. Finally noticing the see through wyrm at the other's legs to narrow his eyes at it, but quickly tilting his head at the small instead. It wasn't like he could do a 180 with his attitude, or at least didn't care enough to try. Though he at least didn't scowl as hard at the owners.

"M'bad, getting here was a pain in the ass... Uh.. Pardon the intrusion?" Merely raising a hand in improper greeting, at least Rel knew some polite phrases to tack on at the end. If it was just how he talked that was too ill for the master though, he supposed he shouldn't stay long less he get put in some dungeon for insolence or something. Was that even a thing in this area? That egg took him on the longest damn route possible to get here, he'd have to stop by the far away town just to get his bearings again.

As much as he acted like he knew the manor like the back of his hand going in, if no one was assigned to lead or guide him, Rel would simply wander the house looking for those guest rooms.

"A sour mood is a good excuse for improper travel, a rest would do you well then." Calling for one of the maids, a younger looking one greeted Rel, motioning for him to follow to a guest room. He was given a short walk through, where the bathrooms were located in the room, where storage areas were, and how to call for a servant to assist if needed, before finally left alone to settle in.

That didn't mean the door wasn't cracked open, Vonius looking in with excitement while Kaiser grumbled. Father had said to let the guest settle in before he could take the egg. After all, what was a few moments more? An eternity for the small child.

The maid paid little mind to Vonius, greeting him as they left, but Von could be left to his excited watching until the door was fully shut or Rel started doing 'indecent' things. Things that required privacy and now small eyes keeping an eye on them, waiting for the chance.

Following after the maid had Rel thinking about how uselessly large the place was. It was good to help keep tons of people employed to clean the joint but he'd never be able to live in such luxury comfortably. Needing a quick tour for his room alone, once he was left to his own devices, he let out a low pitched whistle. Annoyingly roomy, but he could still appreciate some fancy smancy living.

The best part was how quiet it was as well. Not a mouse to be heard save the egg on his back getting excited occasionally. "Alright, alright. You rest here, I reek cause of a certain someone sending us on a hike through the beautiful landscape." Unstrapping the egg to set in on the bed, he scrunched the blankets around in case it decided to try rolling.

Unfortunately for some excited eyes, a long hot shower was just what the redhead needed. Only coming out damp with his pants and a towel draped over his shoulders. A handful of small scars dotted his body, but none looking as bad as the one across his face, merely picked up from his rougher jobs.

Without particular care for how shy the nobles tended to be, he went towards the door as-is when he saw the young lord there. "What're ya doin? Don't just loiter around, if you're gonna come in, come in." It was Vonius right? As far as Rel could tell, they were a cute and funny kid, even if he had a hard time showing he thought so.

Staring at the egg through the door, Kaiser was back to his full side and lounging in the hall as it was one with very little traffic. The wyrm didn't fill the hall, with high ceiling and wide hallways, but he took up a good portion of it at full size. His skull alone was taller than the average human. "It is rude to stare, Vonius."

As the door opened, Vonius jumped, toppling back and staring at the not fully dressed Rel as he came to invite them in in a way. Vonius did get back up, small due to age, but waddled in. "Daddy said wait!" He told Rel, taking no time to crawl onto the bed much taller than him to snuggle into the egg. Kaiser stayed in the hall, though did stick his head in the door. The egg seemed to be happy having its rider hug it, and Vonius was happy to have it now. "Why naked?" He asked Rel though, not seeming bothered but did seem to know it wasn't common.

"He just bathed, he needs to dress."

"Ohhhhhh, why hurt?" Kaiser didn't have an answer for that one, and left it up to Rel if he wanted to answer or avoid the subject.

"Aaaah, what a good tike." Rel commented, blinking at the dragon head behind them. He could have sworn that thing had been smaller, but he had seen weirder things from dragons before. Leaving it be, he already had his own demons to deal with at home that liked to laze around his house so he was used to it.

Double checking himself that he did indeed have clothes on after being told he was naked, a blank, Oh, came out when the dragon answered. He supposed this might as well be considered naked to people who wore so many fancy layers. Flipping his hair forward, he quickly dried it as best he could with the towel before going to pull on his shirt. At least he wasn't sticky in the sweaty way anymore. "Comes with the territory, I'm basically a neighborhood mercenary. None are recent so don't worry, they ain't hurtin anymore." Plopping down on the other side of the bed, it was huge and soft to him, spreading out without a care in the world. Maybe he could catch a cat nap before heading back off.

"Oh, like mithers!" Vonius said excitedly, knowing not everyone that came in was of pure intentions.

"Misters, the word is misters." Kaiser corrected, turning towards the bed as Vonius seemed to stare blankly, processing.

"Mithers!" Vonius repeated, getting dragon head shakes

"No, misters. Miss." Seeming to know where the young one was getting stuck on, the fact his front teeth weren't fully developed sure didn't help.

"Miss!"

"Ters."

"Ters?"

"Miss-ters."

"Meess ters." Well, close enough for Kaiser. Vonius seemed quite pleased with the egg, hugging it and squishing his face into the shell. "Daddy can make it better, he makes mine better lots!"

"Let's leave the guest to rest, don't you want to make a nest for the egg?" Gasping, Von nodded as he wiggled to the edge with the egg in arm before he seemed to vanish but reappeared waddling to the dragon filled door with the egg in arms. I was a bit too large for him to carry, not that it seemed to bother him.

"Thank you, pretty person! Have good nap!" Vonius called, Kaiser grabbing the door with his hands to close before the room was quiet, and Rel alone.

Letting out a long but silent yawn as the two played student and teacher for a speech lesson, Rel pulled the covers up over his legs. He was still warm from the shower, not ready to be fully covered. "Later kid, be careful." He waved tiredly, being lulled by the soft bedding before Rel realized what was said. "Wait, what the he-" squinting at the closed door, he sighed and flopped back against the bed. Whatever. Nobles were an odd bunch.
