Reposted from deviantart. This was made for a character sheet info submitted to an RP group called "BJBB". Just thought of posting my RP group OC here since she collected quite a healthy amount of art and love throughout the years. I had her since 2014. My writing isn't anything amazing but thank you for reading it if you did!

chapter I 「 ombre 」

The Coutet family is well-known in the fashion industry, especially in Neo-Paris where they resided. With the missus being the most prominent as she had been a renowned ramp model and successor to a high profile clothing line, and the mister being a clever and experienced businessman, it is no surprise how the family had been unrivaled for over three decades. They had four daughters; the eldest followed her father’s footsteps in business, the second managed several international branches of the family clothing line, the third reigned as the highest paid runway model...and then there was Chiffone.

Chiffone, being the youngest, was the most spoilt by her parents as she was an unexpected offspring; her mother thought she had become infertile after her third child. Unlike the others, they wanted her to live a comfortable and luxurious life without pressure. Little did they know their overprotective and indulging treatment allowed a big hole to grow in their little daughter’s heart. Though she had a happy childhood, Chiffone grew up feeling as though she was being swallowed up by her family’s shadow. As she got older, she was often asked by her family’s friends and patrons if she were to also continue her parents’ legacy just like her sisters did. All she could answer these people was uncertainty. Whispers of disappointment followed after, and it pierced her. Because of this Chiffone did all she could to be the best in school; may it be academics, sports, contests, extracurricular activities, just name it all. But still it all paled in comparison to her sisters’ achievements. Wanting to escape this looming shadow, she asked her parents if she could be transferred to an all-girls boarding school in America and spend her high school there. With a hesitant heart, her father approved while her mother tried to convince her not to go till the day of her flight.

chapter II 「 innocence fanée 」

It was refreshing to be a stranger in a foreign land; it’s music to her ears not to be compared to any of her sisters, or be asked of what career choice she would take. With her outgoing and sophisticated persona it didn’t take long for her to be popular in the school she attended. However what came with popularity were envious gazes and gossiping lips. When no rumor was enough to hurt her reputation in school, her own friends tried to sully her with a prank that went too far. They called for boys from another high school to come and scare her in an alleyway, but instead they forced themselves on her. To add salt to injury, a video of the incident was uploaded in the main social media of students and teachers alike. Chiffone couldn’t bear to leave her dorm room or look at her own reflection for days since then. Even though none of it was her fault, she was disgusted of herself because of what they did. She couldn’t even look into the eyes of her parents when they flew over to settle the issue, only to end with the ones at fault not getting apprehended because of their families’ strong political influence over the authorities. With a painful defeat, her parents decided they should all return to Paris where she’ll continue her studies at home. Unbeknownst to them—with the help of a hacker she befriended during her stay in America—Chiffone had each and every student involved with the assault have their dirty little secrets exposed all throughout the web. Each and every one of them had history of drug abuse, bullying, and sexual assault attached onto their names; with the scandal their families could no longer cover them. Meanwhile her “friends” who staged the whole incident, all suffered verbal and online bashing even long after Chiffone had left the country. This was her parting gift to them.

A year passed since then, and Chiffone earned her high school diploma at the age of 18. Even if she was thankful of having been cut off from the world during that time, she couldn’t help but still yearn for an escape from her family’s shadow. Despite the fears and scars that still haunted her, she decided to leave home without telling her family. Once she was of legal age, she left on a cruise set sail for Pearson City. Her reason for choosing that place was simply because it was the only city that didn’t have a branch of any of her family’s businesses—while it was a foolish basis for such a decision, she was excited. Upon arrival, she received an earful from her parents when she finally accepted their calls; of course they were furious. She adamantly refused to return home despite their pleas, telling them how she needed this and wanted to take a path different from theirs. Knowing how incredibly stubborn their daughter was, they eventually conceded with conditions. While they gave her the best apartment money could afford, a penthouse in District A, and tuition for the most illustrious university; they demanded that if another incident would occur she would have to go back home no matter what. All she could do was agree after being given so much privileges she didn’t expect. To keep her agreement with her parents—having learned from her frightful experience in high school—she became more cautious of the people she met and carefully selected who she associated with. While still expanding her networking, she made sure not to form any conflict or close bond that could hurt her again.

chapter III 「 l'appel 」

It was in her first year of university did she discover her love for photography as it immortalized the beauty of a moment. And that love further grew when she soon appreciated the beauty of telling a story through a single image. Her favorite school project she ever worked on was telling the story of the daily struggles of a young rabbit girl who lived in the slums. Eventually that specific work was recognized and landed her an internship in one of the biggest journalism companies in the city. Upon accepting, she thought to herself that this might be the path she was looking for all this time. There she trained hard under the wing of her supervisor who—despite his wacky demeanor—she unconsciously recognized as a father figure. It was in one of the company’s ventures did she hear about BJBB extensively, having only seen them occasionally in the news. The more she learned about them, the more fascinated she had become, and soon she became fixated onto one specific rabbit who wore a mask and a red coat.

Because it wasn’t in the company’s interest to write about one story for longer than necessary, Chiffone decided to investigate BJBB on her own. Under the alias “Alice”, she actively updated a blog about her findings and speculations that were especially centered on the masked rabbit. Because it wasn’t easy to track down the elusive rabbit, she sought for the hacker who once helped her back in America to assist her. More often than not, her articles were nearly accurate and laced with photographic evidence. Unexpectedly, what she first started as just a hobby...or rather obsession, eventually caught the interest of the public eye—POSRA being one of them. When she heard grim rumors that the masked rabbit was fatally shot by an officer, she couldn’t help but feel responsible if it were true her blog was what tipped them. Having not seen the masked rabbit for months, she felt empty and uninspired which led to her blog entering a hiatus.

chapter IV 「 amore 」

It came as a surprise to her that one summer day a tall, extremely handsome brunette rabbit greeted her just outside a café she frequented. Though briefly mesmerized, it didn’t take long for her to realize who this man was as she had memorized every detail of his being. He was the masked rabbit; and he probably came to exact revenge. She ran in panic, however it didn’t take long before he caught up to her. Thinking he was going to kill her there and then, she bluffed how if anything were to happen to her she would instantly upload all of BJBB’s secrets for the world to see. Seemingly he believed her, and allowed her to speak with another rabbit named Sven, who also held some authority over the brigade. She agreed to a deal where information will be fairly and mutually traded in exchange of her posting false information to mislead POSRA. The first information she received was the name of her idée fixe, Lea.

Ever since then Chiffone would visit the brigade in the guise of the agreement, when in fact it was only because she wanted to see Lea. Because Lea was asked to be her chaperone, she couldn’t help but abuse this opportunity to have him at her beck and call. She made him eat lunch and dinner with her, model for her photography projects, carry her shopping bags at the mall, escort her home—almost like a personal slave. She knew it was very childish of her to treat him like that, but she thought this was the only way she could make him look at her even if it were out of spite. Eventually she realized that she had feelings for him beyond being a subject of interest. In hopes of making him like her even a little, she bought the finest handkerchief and personally (and painstakingly) embroidered Lea’s name onto it. But she soon found out that the man had a lover; that was then she felt her first heartbreak. She then felt how little she was as she paled in comparison to the beautiful woman he held hands with. Despite this she told herself just being able to see him was enough, just like how a fan should feel towards their idol. She shamefully pocketed the handkerchief. As time went by Lea started to distance himself, turning passive with her attempts to gain his attention. Her heart sank even further. As she served her purpose in the brigade, she also begun to feel her dwindling usefulness especially when it seemed her blog was losing its authenticity.

It was one random yet fateful night that Lea approached her to spend a walk together. As she noticed the profound sadness in his eyes, she couldn’t help but ask what was wrong. He told her problems she could neither answer nor fully fathom. It felt like he was carrying the whole world over his shoulders. Realizing how important the brigade was to him, his family, that was then she decided to lessen his worries by quietly leaving the picture.

chapter V 「 je suis désolé 」

Detached from time she didn't realize fall had long passed since then. Life once again became dull and lonely, especially when she abandoned her blog. She proceeded with her everyday routine just like when she first arrived in Pearson, at least not until hearing the news of the whole city being put in Martial Law and a mass execution of BJBB members. Fearing that Lea and any of the rabbits she befriended might be part of that, she immediately signed up with the journalist team headed for the prison the rabbits were being held in. It was a very foolish and reckless idea to come along, especially she came without any solid plan besides one: plant a bug into the mainframe of a state-of-the-art high security prison so that a college student could attempt to hack it. No matter how one looks at it...it was a very, very stupid plan that could only end badly. Perhaps she placed too much faith in her American hacker friend to even try, or it was because she loved Lea so much to a point of absurdity. Whatever the reason, she can't just do nothing.

Unfortunately even before she could do the first phase of the plan, the entire journalist team was taken into custody by POSRA. Each and every one of them got locked in an interrogation room for questioning. At that point she felt like giving up. But as though fate was playing a joke on her, there Lea stood right at the broken down cell door. She didn’t expect that Lea and a team of BJBB members were also planning a prison breakout that day. Even though the man insisted she should leave together with her team, she did the opposite and continued her plan. Thanks to the distraction provided by the attacking members of BJBB, it didn’t take long before she reached the control room where she granted her hacker friend access. Once all the prison doors unlocked, she attempted to flee the scene and let the brigade handle the rest. Just when she was about to leave, she saw a POSRA officer aiming his rifle at the distance, soon noticing it was Lea that he targeted. Without thought or hesitation, she charged at the officer since he was standing in the same catwalk as she was. At the last millisecond the officer faced her just before she pushed him, successfully deterring the shot. Just when she thought she finally did something right, she felt a sharp pain in her stomach. Touching it she saw a deep red stain her hand. All she could do was stare in shock until Lea came in time to catch her from falling. Everything after became a blur.

As Lea swiftfully carried her behind his back, she began to lose her senses one by one. She eventually lost her sight even if she had her eyes open. Her ears kept ringing until she could hear nothing. The intense pain numbed as her body started to turn cold. She thought to herself that before death would also claim her voice, she would at least want to apologize to this man.

「 I...m sorry... for lov...ng you… 」

The only thing that comforted her is the thought the last sensation she would ever feel is the warmth of his back.

chapter VI 「 paradis 」

It felt strange to open her eyes once more, having to question if what she was seeing was the afterlife. Though seeing a weary Lea by her bedside told her she was alive. After chastising her for her reckless actions, Lea soon explained she was brought back to the brigade's headquarters where she was treated. Though eventually he brought up her last words to him as he held the embroidered handkerchief stained with her blood. Embarrassed at the sight and recollection, she did her best to dissuade him from the topic and asked him to dispose of the item. However he persisted to get an explanation from her instead. She hesitantly affirmed her feelings to him and asked him to simply forget about what happened. His response:

「 You can't just selfishly barge into someone else's life, leave an impression, and abandon it all so easily. 」

His words surprised her more than anything as she thought how much he must've hated her. Though the surprise didn't end there as he would want to sincerely give them a chance as a couple. She was so overjoyed that she was brought to tears.

She stayed in the brigade throughout the entirety of her recuperation, patiently waiting for everyone to return as they fought POSRA and for what they believed in. She especially always waited for Lea to come home. Even though she felt so useless, ugly and unkempt, he made her happy whenever they were together. When the day came when POSRA was finally overthrown, she quietly celebrated a victory well deserved by the brigade. After the party was over, an unexpected dinner date followed. It was their first ever date that even though it was rushly prepared, it was the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for her. She sheepishly smiled to her ears as he put on a black bracelet onto her wrist, realizing he also wore one matching with hers. Little did she know these precious moments with him would be short-lived.

Realizing that he already left Pearson without saying why—not even good bye—all she could do was cry.

chapter VII 「 la nostalgie 」

Once she was ready, she left the brigade on her own. She contacted her parents to tell them she was alive, lying to them how she stayed in her penthouse the whole time Pearson city was in shambles. Before she returned to school and work, she cut her hair and changed the ensembles of her wardrobe.

Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, and months eventually turned into a year. Still there was no sign of Lea. But even so she still longed for him all the same just like when he first left.

chapter VIII 「 solitaire 」

More than a year has passed since then, and it felt like the nightmares of yesteryear have all been forgotten by those who yearned normalcy in their lives. But is it worth trading normalcy for the person who gives life meaning?

BJBB has been reduced to nothing but hearsay and small news in all journalism sites, gone are the days they were called terrorists in the headlines and news broadcasts all over the city. And without Lea, life has been really peaceful but painfully uneventful. No matter how much Chiffone told herself to move on like everyone else, she just couldn't. She constantly replayed her memories of him, and sometimes wished she could turn back time even when Pearson was at its worst as long as she could be with him. Her friends at work and school would set her up with a blind date or pair her with someone in group dates in an attempt to help her, but to no avail she always seemed disinterested, and unconsciously fiddled with the black bracelet on her wrist. To distract herself from her own thoughts, she became more systematic and diligent at work and school. The only comfort she had was her pet rabbit who waited for her to come home everyday.

It turned December, and it felt like it was going to be a lonely and predictable Christmas yet again. The usual exchange gift event at the office, a Christmas party with her friends at school, and mass spamming of Christmas greetings in all social media. Unexpectedly, after another tiring day at work, her cell phone rang, called by an unknown overseas number.

「 Hey . . . it’s me. 」

She knew this voice even after not hearing it for over a year. She couldn't help but shout her grievances, her anger, her pain at him despite being so happy and thankful to hear his voice again. She held back the urge to cry as she eventually collected herself to tell him what she truly wanted to tell him all this time.

「 I miss you. 」

chapter IX 「 réunion 」

Even though the man she loved wouldn't tell the circumstances of his disappearance, she knew it was for BJBB. She suspected it was a deal of sorts with the government, given that it sounded too forgiving to grant amnesty to the brigade so easily without anything in return. Even if she wanted to dig deeper, she chose to respect her promise with him to stay safe and wait for his return. She treated every call from him as a blessing, and she looked forward to it every time. Ever since their reconnection, she would happily tell her friends that she has a boyfriend to dissuade them from inviting her to dates again. They hardly believe her, but who would even believe the story of a normal girl dating a vigilante criminal turned government spy anyway?

The months passed by like a breeze, and her faithfulness was eventually rewarded when a familiar tall figure stood in the middle of her apartment.

     He finally came home.
