“Service with a smile! Barista wanted!”

When Saki saw that sign in the coffee shop, the first thing he thought was, “I can't do that.”
He needed a job, he really did. He couldn’t let his parents slave away at their jobs for him! He felt so bad for them as they trudged through the house late at night, tired out of their minds from working hard for little money.

“Don't worry about us, Saki,” they'd say to him with an exhausted smile.

But it simply wasn't fair. Saki had to do something. He had to help his family somehow. His parents gave him all they could. And he wanted to give it back to them.

But for that… He'd have to overcome his social anxieties.
He didn't think he was good at interaction. He was nervous when it came to talking with other people and being a barista meant there was a lot of contact with other people.

But since it was one of the only jobs he could find… Well, he just had to swallow his nervousness and take the job. He had to do it for his dear parents.

And he was hired! After a training course and after he learnt the difference between cortado and cappuccino, he was immediately set to work.

It was difficult at first, mixing up orders for customers and having to juggle work time and his studies, but he managed.
After all, the look of astonishment on his parents' faces as he presented them with a receipt for his paid tuition was worth it. Saki would never forget their expressions. Astonishment, shock, pride and happiness all in one.

He would try his absolute best so they never had to worry about paying for his college fees.
He loved his parents dearly and it hurt him when he used to hear them talk about their low finances and how they may need to work harder. His parents did the absolute most caring for Saki, and now it was his turn to care for them.
