When an Eingel accidentally goes to Earth and gets trapped, they expect chaos.

But, somehow, no one can see them.

Well, no one except their linked partner, that is. And the Eingel hadn't been looking at their link's memories lately...

Chapter 1: A Beautiful Day In the Neighborhood

"Good morning, world!" called out a happy Eingel by the name of Time. "What wonders do you store today?"

The multiple islands (all full of Eingels) floated ominously.

"Ah! I see!" said Time. Their wings flapped a little faster, but they stayed down on their island. "You want to play a game, right?"

The islands floated ominously.

"Dang, no game?" asked Time.

The islands continued to float.

"Now y'all are just ignoring me," Time said, crossing their arms and pouting. They fluttered their wings, flying off their island.

"Hey, Time!" called out Shira, a pretty white Eingel with long bunny ears and a strippy shirt with a little pink skirt. "Have a nice day!" She flew over to another island.

"Have a great day!" Time chirped, instantly out of their bad mood. Shira was one of the nicest Eingels Time knew. Not the nicest, although they hadn't really thought of who would be the nicest, but still really really nice. Time's wings fluttered faster as they thought of the birthday gift Shira gave them: a little stuffed doll version of themself. Time loved it instantously and now slept with it. Time couldn't have imagined a better gift.

They watched as Enemy, a white Eingel with black sclera, cartwheeled from his home island to the shopping island, probably wanting to get more black cloth to fix his dress-thingy. They watched as a couple of Eingels play-fought over a jar of milk from planet Earth. They watched as Lemon aggressively sold his phones to random Eingels. They watched the world go by. A habit they formed early, back when the islands were mostly empty, back when they were a little infant, even without wings. They curled up and continued to fly.

The gemningels fluttered their new wings. Boyo spun in lazy circles, not sure how his wings worked. Lemon hopped from one island to another with a basket full of phones and links. Enemy beatboxed. Shira was blushing and giggling at Dan's flirting. The gemningels flew away from an island, spinning together as if they were dancing.

Time had a realization. They were all dancing. Dancing with the beats of their own lives, dancing to their own music, dancing amongst the sky and islands, dancing, dancing. They stretched out and fluttered their faster wings. They were dancing, even if it didn't seem like it. They danced. They spun around, arms fully out, pretending to be a helicopter (whatever that was), spinning, dancing, feeling the glow of purple light around them, spinning and spinning and spinning...

The world faded to black around them.

...

Meanwhile, on Earth, Jameson bought a coffee at the nearby Coffee-inated. He hated today already. It was a Friday, which was his most unlucky day of the week and the start of his work week.

His "weekend" was Wednesday and Thursday, two days he often spent at the zoo, looking at the big cats (such as tigers, lion, and cheetahs, all of his favorites) and elephants. Definitely the elephants. Even though they weren't his favorite species (not by a long shot), one of the elephants (Debora) loved him for some reason. Perhaps it was the peanuts he always snuck into her exhibt somehow. He wouldn't know; he's not an animal expert.

Purple light flickered above him for just a moment. Jameson sighed. He must be hallucinating again due to lack of sleep. He'll talk to the doctor about it sometime soon. He took a sip of his black coffee and wandered towards the library.

...

Time woke up, opening their main eye. Winds attacked it. They closed it again.

Where were they? Probably in the wind tunnel. Maybe it was some cruel joke on the poor Eingel. Maybe whoever did this meant to grab someone else, like Enemy. Enemy was often targeted.

Time figured if they stayed unaffected (seemingly), whoever did this would pull them out. They fell back asleep.

...

"Time?" Enemy called out, wandering their house. "Time? Where are you, buddy?"

"Have you found them yet?" Shira asked.

"Can I sell you another phone?" asked Lemon.

"Lemon, get out of here!" Enemy shouted. He promptly picked up the sales-Eingel and threw him out of Time's house.

"They rarely miss Round-Up Rollcall," Shira said. "It's not like them, unless they're suffering from their link again."

"No, they couldn't be," Enemy said. "Their previous link died a while ago. They shouldn't be suffering from her nightmares anymore."

"So, where are they?" Shira asked.

Lemon climbed through an open window and shoved an LPhone into Shira's face. "Want the latest LPhone 6Pi?" he asked.

Shira shoved Lemon out of her face, which made Lemon fly out the window.

"Oops," she said.

"Come on," Enemy said. "They have to be around here somewhere. It's not like they have anywhere else to go to..."

...

If an Eingel hits the ground and no one hears it, did it really make a noise?

Somehow, a sleeping Eingel managed to survive a fall from their planet to Earth.

They lay in the grass, fast asleep.
