It was a regular bustling afternoon at Harbor, the hustle and bustle of the crowd in the air. In the midst of the crowd, a small, colorful desert xero was making their way towards a tattoo and piercing shop she had been recommended. She had some ear piercings in mind and she had heard the Xero who ran the shop had exceptional professionalism. Akira looked at a map of the street, and then back up at the building in front of her. “This looks like the right place, I hope they can nail the look I got in mind.” she thought to herself.
At the tattoo shop it was a slower day than usual. Ito was busy sketching out some designs for tattoos, checking the needles on the tattoo and piercing guns, and making sure everything was safe for the next customer coming in. As they were finishing cleaning up the store they heard the bell on the door ring as someone came in “Welcome! How can I help you today?” Ito called out. Akira nervously shuffled to the front of the store and told Ito “I’d uhh…like some piercin’s done today, I had a couple I’d like to try out”. “Hmmm you seem nervous, must be your first time gettin something like this”, Ito spoke reassuringly, “You can trust me with this okay? I’ve been doing this for a while now and I promise I’ll do my best to make this as painless as I can, so what’d you have in mind for today?”. “I’d like a couple of industrial piercin’s and a couple of ear piercin’s if ya’d be so kind,” Akrira said. Ito opened their drawer where they neatly kept their piercings, “I think these would compliment your style nicely, since I noticed you’re wearin those cuffs” they said as they pulled out some light blue industry piercings and light blue ear piercings with a little pink star decal.
Agreeing on a design, Akira sat on a chair as Ito prepared the piercing gun for the ear piercings. “Now this might sting a little bit, so I want you to take a deep breath or maybe close your eyes, no shame in doing either” Ito spoke as they prepared Akira’s ears with some rubbing alcohol. Akira took a deep breath as Ito delicately yet quickly pierced both of her ears and started to prepare her ears for the next piercings. “I know these look bigger, but trust me, it’ll be about the same pinch feeling”. Ito gently started with her left ear, and then her right as they stuck the needles in perfectly symmetrical, and firmly fastened the barbells to the ends of each needle. “And all done!” Ito handed Akira a mirror so she could see herself “What do you think, perfect right?” they said proudly. Akira looked at both sets of piercings, “you nailed this look exactly! I was hopin for somthin like this to really help my look stand out, thank you so kindly!” she exclaimed, starry-eyed and full of joy.
After exchanging her thanks for Ito’s handiwork, Akira left the shop fully content, and ready to bring her brand new look and her vibrant new personality to OWAI-6. Ito cleaned up their equipment, proud of another job well done, and cleaned their equipment for the next customer to walk in for Harbor's finest tattoos and piercings.
