Blepper I swore was named Frolo found an egg that was the heir to crabs. (Shelby)

Shelby was found along the shoreline, rested against a rock with small crabs scuttling and dusting it in a soft coat of sand. The sun beat down heavily, a warm day for the winter to spring transition time. The sun lapped at the bright top of Shelby, while the water threatened the darkened bottom. A gull flew above, cawing, before a smaller bird waddled over, eyes big and tiny wings fluttered in excitement. A resounding, shrill scream followed with nonsensical squabbles signaled a tall Isomara to come running, blue paw pressed to push his hair back as he peered down at the egg the blepper had found.

“Thank you, Bifro!” He praised, reaching down to pat his companion on the head and pick up the egg. He carefully brushed sand off it, before shrieking as a crab ran over his foot, claws snipping fiercely. Bifro eyed it, squawking as it ran after him and took off himself, away from the scary ocean and sand. Frio followed soon after, eyeing all the seashells, eggshells, and feathers lying about. If his arms weren’t full, and he were more of a materialistic Isomara, he’d likely prioritize item collection over egg protection. He’d likely just give Pacings a nudge about the area later, however. He watched some crabs congregate where the egg he held in his arms once was, prodding at the empty space and circling to look where it had gone. They scurried about, crawling over the rock, prodding at the eggshells and seashells lying close, even nudging a sand dollar. A few buried themselves in the sand where Shelby once lay, a flurry of sand rising from their placement.

Shrugging it off, Frio rushed to show Carmen his find and to rub off any sand left with a proper towel. The egg definitely needed to be cooled down, he was a bit worried, but he was sure he felt a warmth that wasn't from the sun against his chest, along with how heavy the egg was and how it seemed to move in his paws. Frio was certain the Isoling inside was healthy, Bifro’s giant, vacant stare seemed to agree. For now, he needed to get the basics down, and then hopefully find this child a home.
