“Jared! Where are you?” Alexander calls as he looks through the house. A muffled grumble can be heard as he enters the living room, and he whips his head around to find the source.

It would be none other than his awfully tired boyfriend, the exact person he’s searching for. “What’s the fuckin’ yelling for?” Jared slurs as he sits up, fighting with the blankets tangled around him.

“Were you there the entire time?” Alex spits out in surprise. He had searched every room, including the living room, how had he not seen him? It was an extreme blanket burrito for sure.

“What did you wake me up for? I was sleeping.”

“It’s time to sleep. In bed.”

Jared’s eyes light up and he quickly stumbles up, partially trying to cover the red tint darkening his cheeks. “Wh-- Why didn’t you say that before?” Any ounce of confidence has slipped from his voice, leaving behind timidity to take the front.

Alex can’t help but let out a deep sigh as he walks over to him. “Let’s go.” He helps the other man get free from all of the blankets and discards them on the couch, then he lightly places his hands on his shoulders and leads him to their room.

Once there, he shoos Jared to the bed. “Go ahead, I’ll get the lights and all.”

“M’kay.” He continues to whisper incomprehensibly as he shuffles over.

Alex doesn’t mind him as he closes the door and turns off the lights. Without any other things needed to be done before the close of the day, he follows after his boyfriend and settles beside him under the covers. He’s not given much, however, and the thief is turned away from him. “Hey, you have to share.”

The only response is akin to a growl.

“Hey, come on. Please?” He pleads, even giving the blanket a very light tug.

With no other options, he slinks his arms around Jared, somewhat awkwardly, and pulls him - and the blanket - over to himself.

Jared finally rolls over and looks into Alex’s eyes before diving into his chest.

“I-- okay.” Alex laughs. “Goodnight to you, too.”
