The pride's name, Ukusizana, is a Zulu word, which is the native language of South Africa, the Earthly equivalent of the area where the pride resides. While it can mean "helping one another", it's ultimate meaning is closer to that of "teamwork" and "cooperation". When the Council of Lions gathered to decide the name of their pride, the wanted a name that symbolized the journey of their king. He had started in solitude, weak and alone, but with the help of friends he found new strength. Many of the pride weren't related by blood, but it was their family, their community of outcasts. Together they were one, and they were strong. When it came down to a vote, it was unanimous. They would forever be known by their new point of view, from lone wolves to a united pack, they were "stronger together".
