"Huh, a name?" asked Bane,"Why does the pride need a name?"
The older lion grunted,"A name is important, it unites the pride as a whole."
"But the pride is already united. Is it not, Carter?" he asked perplexed,"I mean we are fighting for the same goal, yes?"
"Yes and no," answered Carter,"Yes, they all rallied to the cause of defending the lands. But, alas, at the moment there is no pride. Just lions living together."
Bane stopped walking and looked at the wise lion he respected,"So what you're saying is...?"
"A name will bring about a sense of belonging and purpose to these lions," Carter spoke in his slow voice,"And what better name than yours."
"Mine?" asked Bane,"What do you mean by that?"
The old lion let out a hoarse laugh,"You, the brave lone lion that ventured into the darkness to protect his loved ones," he smiled gently,"Winter's Bane, what a fitting name indeed."
