Janus remembered when Racrar was a wonderful place full of life. She took it for granted. But it was all gone now. If there was one thing she missed more than anything else, it was the food. She was starving.
There were flyenas everywhere but now the flyenas were few and far between. This did not really bother Janus since she had always been a loner. If anything, she wanted to avoid the other flyenas even more because their endless complaining about the events of Racrar had become unbearable. Janus was not one to dwell on the past and she resented hearing about others doing so. She preferred to not think about what Racrar used to be like, it made her even hungrier than she was now.
Janus also tried to avoid the other flyenas because they seemed to treat her like a child because she was still an adolescent. She wanted to prove them wrong by showing she could survive on her own.
Janus was wandering around when she stumbled upon a bunch of old bones that were picked clean by scavengers. She started gnawing hungrily on a bone when suddenly she noticed a light coming from inside a cave.
Janus carried the bone she was gnawing on over to the cave and examined the strange light. When she reached the light, she saw a life-filled world of grass and trees. She hungrily pulled at the grass and started eating it but then spat it out. This was not a place where there was edible food. (she does not enter the portal, she just grabs the grass she sees poking out of it)
Janus was about to walk away from the light and leave the cave when she notices a small creature flying around on the other side. Finally, fresh meat! She starts crouching and trying to sneak up on the creature, then lunges.
