Ace walked up to her friends, she was happy that she finally had friends. She was 17 and her life was good, she chilled with her squad all day and was always keeling over in laughter and having the time of her life. But today felt different, they didn’t give her the warm greeting that they usually did. Quickly after she met up with them, they each had an important reason to go, leaving Ace alone, she was sure that it was just an off day, but it happened the next day too. She wanted to stay friends with them, she gave herself to them so that they’d still need her. She spent all day every day doing stuff for them. She never actually hung out with them ever and when she had time, they were always sick. She was always there for them if they needed someone to talk to, she was always there when they had an itch they couldn’t reach, she was always there to paint their nails. She was running on no sleep and 200 gallons of coffee, but she wasn’t alone anymore.

She thought about why they wouldn’t want her anymore, why she wasn’t good enough. She began to see herself differently, she was worthless, all she was good for was making sure her friends were happy, making sure her friends were pretty. After helping them “be pretty” she realized that she didn’t look like them, that’s why they didn’t want her, she wasn’t like them, her body was wrong. Whenever she looked at herself in the mirror she just wanted to smash it into a thousand pieces. Every night she cried herself to sleep, then in the day she taped her ears up, and stretched her legs more than they should ever be stretched, she barely ate enough to keep conscious. It was hard but she had to look right, she had to be normal. Ace knew she would never be as pretty as her friends, but maybe with enough work she could make herself look… not wrong. After one really rough day where her friend stole her food and shoved her to the ground, to… impress a guy? Ace couldn’t take it anymore, she hadn’t seen her brother in months, but she cried to him about everything that had happened. He signed her up for an appointment with the therapist, someone who could help her better than he would be able to. And at the end of the night he curled up with her to sleep like they used to do.

Princess C6 100 + 25
Princess spends all of her time with pierce. They both share the common interest of wanting to expose Haunt with the truth. And they’ve been working together for a while. Pierce couldn’t find anyone else who believed him until Princess came to evergrim, she of course noticed right away that many things were off. The average evergrim cat grew up there and just assumed all of this stuff was normal, but seriously, why was Pierce the only one that saw the truth. How could every other cat be so dumb. At least she had him, they could snuggle up by the fire with a blanket and just talk to each other, he’d tell her more stuff about evergrim and she’d tell him stuff about the outside world. She was twice as big as he was so he’d occasionally ride around on her while they ran through the snow, laughing. Whenever they were together everything felt right, and Princess may or may nor have a huuuge crush on him. She constantly wonders if he likes her back that way, but does not let it put a strain on their relationship. She doesn’t get all awkward around him or anything, when she’s with him she feels loose and just opens up about her feelings. She couldn't imagine having a better friend in the whole wide world.

Princess C10 75
All of the cats in the mob of evergrim think she’s insane. No more than a kid running away with her imagination to chase her crazy dreams. When she first arrived she was hurt, but Pierce explained that they were just less informed, that they had grown up this way. She hates it now but doesn’t blame herself anymore, nobody respects her, they all think she’s off her rocker, but she just smirks and walks away to go fall into another exciting adventure, even if only Pierce would believe her afterwards. She knows that she’s doing the right thing even if she’s alone in that. She’s only trying to help the rest of the cats and she knows eventually she’ll be able to, alone or not.
