Cherish Prompt 2 2020

Equuleus was.. extremely confused. First Lunar had sent herself, him, Nibiru, and Solar to this nowhere island, and now, even as strangers, the oddly colored pokemon invited them in with open arms and they wanted to show the team around. I probably shouldnt call ‘em odd-colored pokemon.. since Nibiru isnt exactly normal himself.. oH and my Centaurus.. i really shouldnt be saying that. Equuleus thought to himself. A Turtwig bounced up to them, “Hello! Im Vela, and i’d love to tour you around the island.” Before any of the team could say anything else, Lunar happily obliged and Vela started to lead them deeper into the island. Solar looked like she wanted to burn the leaves off of Vela. Actually, scratch that. She looked like she wanted to burn the entire island. She must still be bitter after her squabble with Lunar.. thought Equuleus. Well whatever. Solar could mope around as long as she didnt disturb the tour.

Equuleus kept pace with the rest of the team and Vela, wondering what this island was capable of in terms of entertainment and food. Equuleus really wished that Centaurus and their kidd could come, but Lunar kept a few Pokemon back at the base, including them, to keep it safe from outlaws. Now Equuleus had to deal with two fighting children and Nibiru, who barely has spoken a word this entire time. Somehow, he was a better companion than Solar and Luna, who were whisper-arguing in the front, loud enough Nibiru and him could hear it, but soft enough Vela, who was a few paces ahead, couldnt. He tried to make conversation with Nibiru, but he wouldnt say a word. Equuleus frowned, Just my luck.. stuck here on an island without Centaurus or our kids with a Pokemon that doesnt talk and two that keep fighting... He just decided to suck it up and try to enjoy the new experiences that the island brought them.

Vela had stopped them at a lush, overly-pink rainforest. Equuleus had to look away since the pink was so bright it hurt his eyes. Vela continued on down a path paved with purple bricks. Lunar followed her, and so the rest of them did as well. Vela led them to a small tree-house village, where various pokemon lived. Nibiru smiled, he looked like he was at home with all the purple pokemon. Vela toured them around the village, and introduced them to the various inhabitants of the tree-house village. Equuleus’ nerves were calmed by the happy smiles of the inhabitants, and he felt the happiest he had been in a while. After Vela introduced the team to all the Pokemon, she led them through the tree-house village and down another path to an ocean. In the setting sun, the sun glowed pink and purple, reflecting the ocean so that it looked like another part of the island- full of pinks and purples. Vela took them down to a few cabins, and that is where the team stayed the night.
