Chapter 3 - G38

"You're such an idiot!" Volos spat, throwing up stones and clay with barely a flick of his tail. His ears were flat against his head, and his eyes glowed with rage.

"I'm an idiot for knowing more than you? That's a loud of Irony!" Hades retorted, skeletons rising around his paws as the earth shook. They charged at Volos, who countered their attacks with rolling forms of boulders and mud.

Nereus watched from afar, ears flat against his skull. He couldn't do much to stop the two, they wouldn't die anyway, and could only get injured just to recover. At least there were no outside forces that they had to battle.

They only had internal conflicts, which were bound to happen.

The blue tomcat couldn't look away as the two others continued to hurtle insults at each other. He frowned, knowing that once they cooled off they would go back to being quiet annoyance between the two.

Volos was just a loose cannon, after all, he made the earth shake when he got mad. Hades wasn't much better, the earth shook from too, but for different reasons.

He just hoped they didn't do much damage. Nereus didn't want to force an already agitated Volos to rebuild the canon. His water powers could only do so much to cool them off.

"That's enough!" He suddenly leapt to his paws, startling to two cats who were grappling amongst the dust. They looked up in surprise, eyes widening as the older cat approached.

"You will deal with your angers in my habitat, where neither of you have control over anything. There, you can do as much damage to each other as you wish, but you'll leave Antiquis Aetheres untouched and unbothered." He snapped, paws sinking into mud, he realized his own powers were threatening him and he shook out his thick pelt. "Now go." He growled.

The two scampered off, shoving each other as they climbed into the cave that he called his home and out the back, where Volos couldn't control the sand, and the sea was too strong for Hades to raise more skeletal warriors.

"A good conflict resolution." He decided, speaking aloud. "If cats wish to fight, they are sent to a habitat they are out of their comfort zone in, and they fight light mortals." He nodded to himself. It was the best of this, slightly bad situation. It would work in the future.
