FADE IN: EXT. snowy mountains - establishing shot Slow Drone Pan over a mountainside covered in snow. The sky is getting covered with thick clouds. It is early in the morning with the sun not yet risen over the horizon. very slow smooth zoom to: hEXT. at cliffs feet on mountainside - high angle spectator Large cliffs with almost vertical rockface above him, Elijah wanders around in Snowfalls getting heavier again just as the sky is brightening up. After getting lost in an earlier storm he searches for food and a warm place to rest. As Azurine, a hunter, comes into sight, he calls out to her. ELIJAH (Desperate) Hello you! Can you tell me if there is any settlement nearby (Sees Azurine backing up) I have lost orientation in the snowstorm and don't have any food left, so all I want is help. I promise you I have no bad intentions, I really want to go back home. Azurine (Skeptical) Leave me alone. ELIJAH I'm sorry I can't, I really need help right now. Please at least tell me where I can find somebody who will help me, if you don't want to! Azurine (Annoyed) Unfortunately, the only one living nearby is me and as bad as you look you won't make it all the way to the next village without some rest beforehand. Fade into: EXT. cave entry in mountainside - Drone drive from far away Elijah and Azurine are walking uphill to a cave portal leading into the dark. Azurine's stiff body language shows her being uncomfortable near strangers. Elijah follows close behind nervously. AZURINE (annoyed, snappish) In the morning I can hunt. Then we can leave. I don't want you here for too long. ELIJAH Alright. Cut to: INT. Inside cave - camera at cave entry pointing inwards Inside cliff is a dim light of flickering flames from a torch. Stacks of books lay on the opposite wall with drawings made from paints above. Pelts remain on the ground scattered with a large pile of pelts where Azurine sleeps. AZURINE Feel free to make your own bed, just don't touch mine. ELIJAH Don't worry, I am quite capable of going to sleep myself. See you tomorrow morning then. Elijah drags together two pelts and lays down in a corner, facing away from Azurine, who watches him closely. AZURINE (growling) You dumb fur ball. ELIJAH (confused) I was catching something for you. I already ate mine outside. I saw pawprints so I feel as if I may know how to get back on my own. AZURINE (baffled) On your own? You really want to risk it! The two look at each other for a while, unsure of what to do, before Azurine decides to do initiative.
