Stories featuring Kozel and Huckleberry

Opening Kozel loved to hunt but on the other hand, Huckleberry didn’t. He didn’t like the idea of killing creatures but was willing to if needed. He preferred to eat the meals that were given to him instead of killing his own meals. For that exact reason, Kozel was a perfect match for him. Kozel would hunt in the most aggressive weather to bring Huckleberry his food, while Huckleberry would collect leaves and more to create tea. He was the one that would do the more heavy work, carrying messages to others and using his money to sometimes but Kozel something special, or buying food. Together they live in a cave, discovering what it’s truly like to be together with someone. They have thought about moving multiple times but most likely will not until they have enough money and Kozel gets a better class. Their dream is to have a beautiful marble house that’s open to the outside world, with birds flying around inside or even close on the outside. They will have a large garden as well. Huckleberry even wants to have a pet wolf as well, but Kozel said that may be difficult. Kozel is ready to help with anything though. So it may not be too far.

Personal work + 1 209 words + 2 Land Bonus + 1 Total = 4 Story 1 Huckleberry started running through the bushes, gathering cuts on his legs. He was in a panic searching for Kozel who happened to disappear during a heavy storm. The fur on his mane was on edge, with his heart pounding heavily. Kozel was nowhere to be found, no matter how much he called out her name. He decided she would have been fine, she this wouldn’t have been the first time. The thing is she has never been out during a thundering storm so bad, but he did have his trust in her. Kozel was in the same situation, She disappeared to hunt for Huckleberry to surprise him with a meal since food has been rather rarer. He sleeps best during storms, surprisingly enough, which was the perfect time for her to disappear. Once she ran through the tall grass to catch a fox, one of his favorite meals, she rushed back to the cave. Huckleberry wasn’t there, so she was extremely worried. The storm blocked out the voices of both calling for each other, the fox being left at the cave. They finally both decided to go back, Huckleberry waiting for Kozel at the cave to see if she returned, with luck Kozel soon did, them shocked and nuzzling each other with worry. The fox was gone, and Kozel told him why she was gone when he demanded to know.

August: Growing Wings / Prompt (2019) It comes a time in every Reo's puphood that they dream to fly, be it a Tyrian trying to stretch their wings a bit too early, or a Vayron climbing at the top of a tree, with the strong belief that if they jump, they'll take to the sky just like their Tyrian friends. Some of them finish the story with a scratch or two, while others are caught in the act by their parents and leave the story with no incidents.

Huckleberry and Kozel always wanted to fly when they were younger. Of course, they knew it wasn’t easy. Part of this is how Kozel discovered what she truly wanted to be for her class. Her and Huckleberry would practice when they were younger climbing mountains, running through fields, and chasing butterflies. That was their idea of flying. They were disappointed at the thought of never being able to truly fly, but they knew instead of being upset over it, they should fly, fly as far and long as they could in the way they knew how. Running. There were limits, to where they couldn’t always be running through fields when it was told there were wolves. Or thundering storms that would roll wind stronger than their legs through the grass and creating shrieks as it would flow past the rocks. Their parents were getting stressed and worried more as the days passed, until finally, Huckleberry returned, with the top of his head bleeding. Kozel, like any good friend would, helped him home to the parents. They fell down the side of a hill, in the escape of a predator larger than them. Kozel had cuts on her flesh from defending Huckleberry since after all there was blood and it was not too hard to smell like a meal for a predator. The predator was a small bear, but even then it could be a threat. Kozel chased it off fighting it with what she could, blood drying on her nails. In the end, Huckleberry and Kozel were okay and Kozel was proud of what she did later on. They were not allowed on that trail anymore until they were older but didn’t return until later on when they were ready to move out together. Once they were ready, Huckleberry only walked. Kozel on the other hand, she ran! She loved the wind through her fur and was of course on the lookout for the bear that helped in injuring her and Huckleberry. She was big enough to kill it with Huckleberry's help, her closest friend and perhaps soon partner, and companion. She looked out for Huckleberry, slowing down when she noticed she was going too far. Ironically, she went too far once. She went back and saw him sitting there all grumpy, and she politely started walking next to him. Once they got to the cave, she went out hunting for the bear. Running through the skies like before, she loved it! She was quick and aggressive with the ground beneath her, kicking up the dust leaving it flying in the air. Of course, when she found the scent of the bear, she naturally chased it. Later on, she did bring it down but not as easy as she thought. She went back to Huckleberry, who in shock, still followed her to the bear. Bringing a sled with him that he would pull (That he had with him beforehand to bring their luggage to the cave with) they started trying to force the bear's body onto the sled, which wasn’t too hard of a job for Huckleberry who was roughly the same size as the bear. Once home, she used some meat to cook for her and Huckleberry and store for them to have a meal. The fur of the bear was turned into a blanket (With hard work from Huckleberry). Huckleberry took the rest, excluding the skin, and carried it on the sled to the town to sell. This is how she decided to become a hunter since the running was a huge part of her at this point. She and Huckleberry would run around feeling as if they were flying, which took some convincing to Huckleberry, but they enjoyed it. In the forest, they discovered as well as hidden locations they once knew about. He would catch fish as well, the only thing he was willing to hunt for. Almost every other night, they now will run out and around the woods, Huckleberry a little slower due to almost tripping with all the twisted roots. Slowly while time passes, Kozel starts to go out more and more without Huckleberry, bringing back surprises for him like flower crowns, beautifully scaled fish, and pretty rocks. The rocks were mostly for herself. During runs Huckleberry would focus on how long he could run for, which because of that Kozel decided a stop to be the river where he always will catch the fish he finds (If he's not lazy). So now, both will fly but not together. Kozel flies for her prey over the land with her paws, while Huckleberry flies over the land just like she does with a note he's carrying. Slowly, they reach their goals and relive their childhoods together, as they fall deeper and deeper into love together.

Personal work + 1 Monthly Prompt + 1 Land Bonus + 1 801 words + 8 Total = 11 Story 2 Kozel and Huckleberry don’t have very much in common, but they both have a distaste towards humans. Not just any humans, children. It’s the very young children that can upset them. Actually, it’s the babies. Kozel likes to be peaceful and quiet. She loves to run and hunt, with no worries of someone screaming at her out of nowhere because she almost killed a child's pet rabbit that was for some reason out of the pen. I mean, maybe they should have kept it in the pen. Huckleberry would experience children touching him because honestly, both Kozel and he knows his pelt is pretty amazing. When he would move away on the other hand, sometimes they would start crying. Once Kozel even tried to be friendly to a kid by bringing him a piece of meat assuming he was hungry, and his parent chased him away. She Does one day want to have children, but it's not so easy for her because of how she currently lives. Huckleberry wants to help her, and perhaps even be the father to her children, since they are getting closer and closer every day. On the other hand, they are pretty different but get along very well. Land Bonus + 1 Personal work + 1 202 words + 2 Total = 4 SOLDIER (FOR KOZEL) Hunters that show good results are scouted into the legion as the continent’s soldiers. Soldiers need to be reliable, strong and steadfast. Task: A wolf pack has been diminishing the city's livestock and the elder requests to take action against it. You are tasked with bringing down the alpha wolf of the pack. Kozel was the only one willing to take on the quest, of course, Huckleberry would be forced to go either way. She always needed support for the things she would do, and Huckleberry was the best one for that. One of them happened to be a task that involved a wolf pack. The wolf pack was always stealing their food and the meals made from people, and news of children being scared to leave the house appeared. She went to the village and talked to one of the only people she respects there who was an elder. The elder gave her details on the wolf pack, having around eight wolves. One of those wolves was an alpha, decorated in scars. She saw the pack before running through the woods and has chased off one or two that got too close to her and Huckleberry's den. The elder continued, telling her about some of the awful stories and situations that have happened to the city. She went back to discuss the situation with Huckleberry to see if he wanted to join in. Of course, like before he was forced. They rested at the den for the rest of the night, until the next day when they set out to go to the farm to get some scents to track down the pack. She quickly got onto a trail and started bolting in one direction, Huckleberry remaining behind to help clean up the mess. In the end, he couldn’t exactly tell where she was without having to smell her scent. Later in the day he finally found her, but she was walking back to the den. They discussed a plan of how they would camp at a place with livestock, one of the only places left. There were too many and of course, they would have needed help. With a couple of other vayrons, with their companions and curious young riders, they set out to a farm with the hay stacked high against the wall, and chickens lose. Huckleberry helped set things up, frowning at the idea of the chickens being used as bait. His job was going to be to block them off from the exit. Being the most experienced, Kozel told them she would take on the alpha while the rest can take on the other wolves. They hid in the barn, squirming in the hay thinking it'd hide their scent, and because of that, the wolves arrived. The wolves ran into the front of the barn, with the fence around blocking their exit as soon as Huckleberry ran to block the gate. As a wolf was about to go to catch a chicken, Kozel burst out slamming into it. The alpha, on the other hand, was trying to attack Huckleberry, which caused Kozel to launch herself at the Alpha. The rest of the wolves was left to the other vayrons, but on the other hand not the Alpha. Kozel tore the skin of the alpha trying to blind it. They were roughly the same in size, with clumps of fur sticking to his coat (Proving he rarely got groomed, if ever) with a scratched up jaw. Remembering seeing other smaller coyotes torn up on the ground, she could tell this creature only lived to kill. She wishes she took care of this alpha earlier on, instead of now, when it’s finally grown. Luckily, it wasn’t as young as it used to be. The ground was soon soaked with blood and some bodies, of course, none being vayrons or even the young riders. The young riders were inside the barn safe, on top of a giant pile of hay. Instead, they climbed to the top onto the second floor and told the other vayrons and their own where the wolves were. A couple of chickens were sadly stomped on, and soon Huckleberry joined in on the fight. Kozel latched her teeth into the back of the Alphas neck, while he tried to throw her off of his back. Huckleberry rammed into him, kicking up his legs to hit him in the chin once Kozel let go. Kozel then started digging at his throat, getting Huckleberry to bite him in the back of the leg so he couldn’t get up easily or at least run off without being in pain. Soon all of it stopped, and it was daytime. The other vayrons returned home proudly with their riders, but of course, none came out unmarked. The alpha wasn’t so easy to beat, with claw marks on the flank of Kozel. Huckleberry was rewarded, for taking care and saving most of the chickens. He got a chicken to keep, and also was offered help in getting his first class, a messenger. Kozel, on the other hand, got to keep all the pelts. She got rewarded by getting the alpha pelt as her main reward, them decorating it for her. All the other vayrons ended up getting gold from the whole village. Kozel enjoys decorating her and Huckleberrys' cave with pelts, so you can only expect the proudest to be hung on the wall with the help of humans. The pelt from the alpha, of course, had claw marks through it and it was washed, but no way it would become a blanket for her. The alpha and his behavior creeped her out and gave her nightmares. Additionally, she got the skull from the alpha to put on her side of the cave, since she couldn’t put it in the center or the “living room” of the cave because of Huckleberry. His new pet chicken, named Proxy, was falling asleep in the cave next to him. Who knew the chicken would be so friendly? Of course, after a few days, he brought it back and the person he got it from took care of it due to it pooping everywhere. On the bright side, no one had to worry about the alpha or even wolves running through the village. The other wolves knew very well not to get to close anymore because Kozel was ready for them. Hunting 1 Huckleberry has finally agreed to finally hunt with Kozel, but of course, being who he was, he was not willing to hunt something soft and fluffy. So they decided to do something simple, trout and salmon! Kozel encouraged Huckleberry to get out of the cave and follow her early in the morning, him carrying a basket with him, to go catch the fish they desired to catch. It wasn’t easy at first since Kozel was only used to catching deer and even fighting wolves, but the master of fish catching Huckleberry helped her learn how to catch the fish they needed. Kozel wasn’t getting any better but with encouragement, before she gave up, Huckleberry made her continue. At this point, three hours have passed and Huckleberry caught around five with Kozel only having two. Kozel wouldn’t ever let him beat her, so she continued to work hard on catching the fish that appeared before her eyes. With a quick snap of her jaw, she caught them slowly one by one. Huckleberry got closer into the water with Kozel, catching them with open mouths just like bears. They failed to kill a few with their jaws and the pieces falling back into the river and flowing away after painting the water red. With luck, most were able to be put safely into the basket. Huckleberry got smacked in the face multiple times, but not nearly as much as Kozel. Sometimes in rage Kozel would snap at the trout and salmon, simply trying to kill it. The scales of the fish were beautiful, and Kozel loved watching them swim. The landscape was even pretty as well, with bushes poking out softly tapping the surface of the water. The water was clear when she wouldn’t stain it, with rocks at the bottom with green slime on some of the parts. The trees branches would try to touch the water, with the leaves of the trees trying to fall into it. She even would chase it down the river, but not too far because Huckleberry would warn her to be careful and stick to the main goal. At the end of the day, they farmed enough to last them for a while. Huckleberry carried the bucket home, and then ate some of it next to Kozel. They slept curled up together, happy at the progress Kozel has made. On the next day, they took the sled with them this time. They gathered the fish from last night, and ate it, not being able to finish it. They fished once again before Huckleberry and she decided to take it to the village to get it cooked. It would last longer because of that, which is what they wanted. The village happily helped them at a prince of a couple of Krones which Huckleberry paid for, while he got more offers for journeys to make delivering messages. Kozel, on the other hand, got offers of hunting down and killing certain things that have been bothering the villagers. Simple things like raccoons, eagles, and more. Huckleberry checked in on the pet chicken named proxy he had, with Kozel alongside him. Soon they headed home, and she stole some of the fish from the sled to eat. Her and Huckleberry discussed maybe helping the villagers that didn’t have enough to eat, and they decided that was a great idea. That morning, she and Huckleberry did the same situation, catching the fish and getting hit multiple times in the face to catch everything they could. Huckleberry brought the sled to the village, paying to get the fish washed and cooked by one of the poorer villagers, who used a campfire. They offered her some food, which she accepted. Huckleberry then went door to door offering fish, which lasted for an hour or more. They went home happy and satisfied since they were offered cheaper prices for doing something so sweet for the village. Huckleberry even got something to hold food and keep it fresher, along with two cacti for both him and Kozel. Kozel loved that and learned that she wanted even more flowers in their cave. Huckleberry and she gave each other ideas on what she could hunt for next, and Huckleberry even gathered different spices from around their cave, in the forest and bushes. Kozel decided to take being a hunter more seriously and went back to the river when she struggled with food to get the fish. Sometimes, she would return there just to sit and watch the fish swim around. She would sometimes place a leaf or two down on top of the water, since to her that was an offering of peace to what she believed in. But here, at the river, she was at peace herself. She loved it, and it was relaxing. Sometimes, she would encourage Huckleberry to come here and he would catch fish while she would finally relax. Personal work + 1

Mutants cannot learn any magic; however, they do get different bonuses. - Awakening the Spark is the first step to becoming a Magi It’s late afternoon on a cloudy November day when Kozel bursts through the branches hiding in their cave in a hurry. She is soaking wet from the rain outside and there is blood on her paws. Immediately Huckleberry feels something isn’t right, there is something disturbed, anxious, restless in her eyes - in a way he has never seen it before. It hurts him to see the pain in her beautiful eyes instead of the usual easiness which is fueled by her seemingly endless curiosity. After walking up to her and gently nudging her with his nose he asks: “What happened?”; hoping for an answer, fearing what it will be. “I was hunting down by the river in the forests of Fullcaster when a Bear surprised me.” Kozel's voice is shaky and her spelling broken. Huckleberry knows this wasn’t what scared her, a Bear wouldn’t have the smallest bit of a chance against a fast runner like Kozel. “Like I normally do I tried to play him out.” She loves to let bears catch up to her so they can almost get her, just to feel the excitement when sprinting to safety with her full power right before it is too late. “I had so much fun because this dumb bear seemed to forget every time that I had just got away from him, so this went on for over an hour! But then I started feeling something was wrong.” “So what happened?”, her companion asks impatiently. “Shocked I had to notice he wasn’t as dumb as I thought. All this time he had made me run deeper and deeper into one of the deeper river canyons. I didn’t notice at all, because trees were blocking up the view and I was having so much fun. Realizing the space between the rock and the river was getting tighter and tighter I looked around for an escape. But the way back was blocked by the bear and the trees who we used as bridges so often had been washed away by the river after the heavy rain this month. Panicking more and more I saw no other chance than to keep going and I got up to speed, trying to buy myself more time. After another endless few minutes, I had to discover though, that at this point there was no space to walk beneath the river anymore and I would only have a few minutes until the bear would catch up.” Huckleberry tries to calm her by gentle touches with his paws, as Kozel is breathing heavily in the reverberation of the horror she went through. “But you did manage to escape? I mean, you wouldn’t be with me otherwise.” She responds quickly, as if she tries to get to something more important: “I tried climbing up the canyon walls, but they were too steep and slippery. So when the bear showed up shortly after, I saw no chance other than to try and jump over the rushing river, also if that meant to take the risk of being torn away by the river.” Huckleberry is now breathing more heavily too, scared by the imagination of her drowning. He has to remind himself she is with him right now and not in danger anymore. “I took a deep breath and tried not to think too much about what I would do. When walking backward to take a run-up I struggled not to break up in tears. Feeling the rock behind me I focused all my energy onto this one thing, which could decide over life and death, as good as I could, while not even having a second to think about what would happen to me if I fell into the rushing water, because the bear saw what I tried to do and came near faster now. Putting everything I could into my legs I started running and made a jump, as wide and as high as never before. But it seemed that I had overestimated myself. Already preparing to land into the rushing, deep water, suddenly I felt resistance like I landed on a rock under my paws and I made another jump finally reaching the other shore. Looking back I was surprised to not see anything in the water I could have jumped upon.” Huckleberry is both relieved about the good end but left wondering. “Did you find out what it was that made you jump on?” “I was just about to tell you!”, she replied eagerly. “When I started walking, I felt pain in my paws. After I looked at them closely I found that there was ice on the underside! It almost seemed like I jumped on the ice, but there was none to see in the river. After a short while, the ice melted and I continued on my way home. "What do you think about that?” He sat down and thought about it for a moment before answering: “Do you remember the stories about magic the older ones used to tell us when we were younger? What if what happened had something to do with that? “You actually believed those stories? They just told them to make us sleep faster.” Hazel has something in her view making fun of him and he tried not to show how much he hated it. “I told you so often to not joke about it. You might not have met too many magicians living so far out as a child, but I can remember seeing them quite often back in the days before the BAD THING HAPPENED. We should visit Raygne in his cave. He has been living there way before we were born and will be the right one to ask.” As Kozel doesn’t know what else to do and is curious despite not believing in magic, she reluctantly agreed to accompany Huckleberry on his way to Raygne place in the higher forests next morning. Soon after finishing talking they go to bed, both exhausted and in their thoughts. This night they sleep closely entangled, both happy to have the other one close. Warrenfall - Hunt 4 - Geese and Buffalo "Artaxes. I would love to hunt for a Buffalo today. I know I'd be fine, and I'm glad to be able to hunt with you for a change. Normally my partner hates hunting, and I've never experienced a tyrian before. It's stunning." I said. I tried to keep my voice normal, to not make them uncomfortable. They were a little too intimidating for me and huge. If I did something wrong, I could most likely be killed instantly. If he was willing to at least. Artaxes didn't look back at me and instead looked out to where they were going. finally, he spoke, "I will be more than happy to help, but." he stopped for a second to think, "Please don't get in my way.". I nodded, "Please don't get in mine." I responded with. I looked out into the woods as well when silence fell upon them, and she glanced up to the sky. A few geese were flying here and there, and from the story, Artaxes told her, she was almost expecting him to fly up there and attack them. Of course, he did. She watched as Artaxes rose up to the sky, commenting, "I'll be right back." It took a quick second for him to catch up to them, and he bit one in the neck and dropped it, catching another with a grasp of its neck. Both were killed nearly instantly, and I was impressed. To think that he could hunt that quick and have prey there, surprised her. When he landed, I could see a smile on his face. Artaxes was for sure smiling and took the prey to put somewheres safe to come back for it later. I only continued to sit. The bushes were growing wild here, the trees aggressive when it came to their branches. There were a couple of large rocks, pointing towards plains. Those plains were where we were going to go to catch the buffalos. She only wanted one but the size he is allowed her to know he was strong enough to take on even more. With that, it has begun. I rose to my paws and he turned his head towards me.

I ran out through the lush forest to get to the small hills that featured the plains, and he flew. I didn't even need to warn him. He already knew. Artaxes was flying high above, his wings stretched in the sky. His fluffy tail flowed through the wind, while he looked excited and happy. We spotted multiple buffalo, and she stopped once close enough. Artaxes knew not to get in her way and she knew not to get in his. She waited for him to make a move, and so he did once he saw she was there. He dived down onto a buffalo, crushing one of its legs. I took the chance he gave me, to make it struggle, even more, I bit at its hind legs as it attempted to run and throw him off, which he had the back of its neck in his throat, He was so large compared to the creature, it was amazing. I then started to bite into its throat, which took multiple bites. It fell, and even though it wasn't dead it would be soon. Instead of wasting time on it we tried to get another buffalo, who wasn't too far. When he attacked that buffalo they must have thought that was all we were getting, in which they were wrong. Artaxes insisted on doing it himself. I didn't dare argue, so I went to go finish off the other victim we attacked. I watched as he flew up high to attack it, the buffalo could never outspeed him. Instead of landing only once, he landed multiple times. He attacked the newest victim, killing it even easier than he did before. I think he found a discovery. "Artaxes, thank you for the hunt. I learned some things and I was happy to be safe. I never knew it would be so easy with you, so hopefully, I get more tyrian companions." I said thankfully. He nodded, clearing pleased by the compliment, "Thank you as well for not getting in my way. Most do." he finished. I ran back after talking to him about what to do next, and he brought the prey back to the original spot. I guarded the catch, while he brought the other buffalo back. Since we only caught two, we were even more careful with them. We were hoping to make sure the prey stayed in a single piece. The ground was stained with small patches of blood, and before we knew it the day was over. It was nice meeting a tyrian, and in fact they were mighty impressive. She wished she could be one herself, but most of all she wished she had one to hunt with more often.

Artaxes was flying in the air, while scanning the ground below. There were mountains in the distance with large rocks on it covered in moss, with large trees. He couldn't think of anything else besides geese. Honestly, he enjoyed hunting a lot and watching the birds fly in the sky and then seeing it clear of them. In fact, a couple was near him. He didn't bother to catch them since he had better things to do, like scout the area. He was trying to find every vayron he could, to try to figure out how many were actually in his area. But Sometimes they'd be a lot, sometimes not so many. Kozel was below him at one point, in which he turned and dived down behind her. He was careful not to hurt her, and she seemed to notice. She let out a polite smile as he opened his mouth to speak, "Well hello there little one.". "Hello! How're you today Artaxes?" She responded. "What are you doing," I asked. She responded to talking about the area she was about to go to, "I am heading to the river, but I plan to catch some fish for my partner since he's getting hungry. He wants to try spices and more with our meals now. He's quite the cook." she finished. "I'll happily go with you for protection, in case there was a creature there that could hurt you," I said. She nodded, turning her head to walk. I stayed on the ground walking behind her, the branches trying to hit me in the face. We arrived at the river, and soon enough I started catching fish with her. I wanted to bring some home for myself after all. Later on, the night ended but before that, I was already gone. I brought fish home to my group, who happened to be hungry as well.

Both were raised at home, but they were never close. Only until later on when they met they did become close, of course. Kozel was a runner. Huckleberry was not. Huckleberry was known as being one of the most handsome vayrons due to his coat when Kozel wasn’t looked at as anything too special. Kozel had a desire to hunt as well, so that caused her to chase smaller things around. Huckleberry would only eat plants as well and meat is given to him, which was the opposite of Kozel. Later on, in their teen years, they moved out into the forest separately. They didn’t like the company of humans and too many other vayrons, which is why. Of course naturally, Huckleberry would smell her scent throughout the forest, while Kozel would smell his but only in a small area or even on a trail back to the town. Of course, Huckleberry would be in a rage at times and mark his territory, which was in a very small hole in the roots of a tree. He was large, so creatures wouldn’t be as much as a danger to him. He was very aggressive when he discovered blood being left around his grounds, obviously left by Kozel. Kozel on the other hand never noticed. She was hunting to feed herself while trying to be careful. Every week she would go around to where he was, but never to talk. Only to hunt things such as rabbits. She normally would stay near her cave, which was an opening to a large room, with a smaller circular area on each side which the right side she would use for her den. Her den was fairly messy, with vines hanging from the ceilings. Additionally, it was pretty empty besides the bones from her meals. She wasn’t very clean actually. After a month or so of this happening, Huckleberry went out to discover what was going on. He wanted to confront her for leaving trails of blood and even bones around his place since it was starting to attract trouble and birds that would take the berries Huckleberry would find. He loved the taste of berries, so you can only imagine this left him very grumpy. So he decided to sleep all day until later in the night when he decided to go out to find her. He traveled along the river, in an attempt to find her with the scent left behind. The moon was high above hanging over his head, but it wasn’t full. That made him feel a bit safer. He didn’t know how this Vayron would behave, but being a male he automatically assumed he would be stronger. Of course, he considered other situations, like what type of Vayron she was. He knew that she would bite hard though. Thoughts went through his mind as bushes rubbed against his legs. He would carefully tread through the forest, selling a bone or two here and there, obviously left by Kozel and other creatures. At this time, Kozel would most likely be asleep. Huckleberry, on the other hand, was starting to get more and more uncomfortable. Kozel was not asleep, she was out hunting. Hunting was fairly important to her, but it wasn’t everything. Kozel could sense something in the bushes, rustling, and she went back into her den since she could tell it was large. Sticks snapped, bushes rustled, owls cried, and Kozel hid. The creature got closer, which made Kozel even more worried. She peeked out to see a large creature that was like a bear, something she hasn’t fought yet. She saw it very close, and it simply sat. She was ready to try to attack it since it didn't seem like a fully grown bear. She jumped out because of that, latching onto his back as she bit into its neck. Huckleberry freaked out at this, throwing her off. He demanded her to quit it, and that he was friendly. Kozel was on her back angry at the thought of a random creature, but not just any creature showing up at her den. In the middle of the night even. It was a Vayron. She was somewhat taken by his charms and his warm voice which made her start to feel less in danger. She could tell this was the male she would sometimes hunt around. He told her what has been bothering him, and she simply challenged him. Of course, Huckleberry gave up and returned home. Luckily, Kozel wasn’t doing anything anymore near him. During the conversation, Huckleberry discovered her name, and obviously how she very much liked to hunt. Huckleberry returned to the cave, later on, this time in the day. Kozel wasn’t exactly friendly, but she was much friendlier. Still challenging him though as well. Over time, they would become closer, but they weren’t perfect yet. Soon, Huckleberry would visit her more often because he started to enjoy her company, and to his surprise, he would do the same, He opened up to her slowly, telling her about how he hates to hunt and kill creatures himself, besides fish. She sometimes would even bring him a surprise meal, and offered for him to stay at her place. Kozel told him about the small river and pond near her den, which made the deal of Huckleberry staying there. He was sick of his home since it was so small. Soon he moved into her den, and it was peaceful. He took the other side of the cave, and would normally leave the cave around the time she did in order to collect berries. He would fish as well and would go to the village to buy different items through hard work at farms. He bought himself a small rug to set on the ground since the rough cave floor wasn’t great for him. The rug was green, with darker green towards the center and a white dot at the very center. He later went and got himself a pillow through work, and brought a book for Kozel as a gift, which she never read. Personal work + 1 Bonding Stage + 1 1016 words + 10 Total = 12

Stage 2 - Familiars ♦ There will be no secrets when the two bond. The trust must be absolute between both parties for everything to go smoothly. Draw your Reosean and their bonded's time together. How did they learn to trust each other? Were there obstacles along the way? ♦ For those pairs who had a tumultuous first meeting, how do these two overcome the negative aspects of this connection and inspire each other to grow in a positive way? Depict how both parties come to some understanding or respect toward one another to overcome their rivalry.

It took a long time for Huckleberry to trust Kozel, and Kozel to trust Huckleberry. Huckleberry would bring home food to help their trust, which was fish. Kozel, on the other hand, would bring home rabbits and foxes. Sometimes larger animals. Kozel would learn more about him each day, just like for example how he didn’t like eating chicken and never would. He soon discovered the best way to gain her trust, was to be like her and willing to do what she was. She and both him together would go visit their parents, which could take some effort sometimes. Huckleberry would start to go outside even more, sometimes with her just to walk. Over time they grew closer, and even he started to hunt with her. He wouldn’t kill creatures, and instead would spot them and call her over then look away. She was quick, and he could be too. This was proven when they started to run together. Since they started to run together, their trust became stronger than ever before. They would feel like they were flying. They got hurt at this one point, by a bear. Their parents were close, making sure they would be fine but they were forbidden from going there for a while until later on. They went back and she defeated the bear soon after, leaving him in a rush of panic since he could not find her for a while that night. They did happen to get lots of meat and a very nice pelt, which she slept on. Sometimes the prey she would bring home was able to have the skin removed, which Huckleberry did sometimes in order to sell the pelts for cash. With the money, he would buy flowers and garden once he came home since he might have had a slight obsession. It was awkward at first returning together, but he fixed that up and so did she. Their bond became stronger over time, but of course, it won't always be so perfect. She would leave during the night to go hunt, and Huckleberry who could barely sleep without her would always panic about where she was. He would have issues as well since the only thing she did was mainly hunt. Of course, that was very useful, but he insisted on her doing quests with him as well to help get them objects they could use in their daily lives. His goals with her were to get a pillow for her, but not just any pillow. He went and worked hard at the farms, delivered messages, and even would sit and watch children and young vayrons. At this point they were teenagers, and they were slowly getting older each day. He would give her a nickname, Old Goat, just to upset her and tease her for fun. She didn’t mind of course but would make fun of his name in return. This did strengthen their bond. Their life wasn’t anywhere near difficult, but sometimes food was rare. At night she would return bleeding and hurt, so that would cause Huckleberry to lick her wounds in hopes of them getting better. Earlier when they’ve run together, both she and he got hurt by a bear. She defended him but didn’t escape with cuts. He hit his head, so he wasn’t extremely useful. He trusted her and knew he would be okay since she was there defending him, and so she stuck there fighting there the bear left. Since he wasn’t huge at the time, she helped carried him a fair distance to the home. Sometimes they would go on short travels together, and spending more time together her feelings got stronger for him and he and she started to open up more to each other. Once they went to Thedale to meet Benn, another vayron which soon became her friend. Huckleberry instead used his, Krones to buy neat items to bring back with them. Kozel originally was going to Roenden as a young vayron, but luckily she was brought here where Huckleberry could find her. They decided to go on vacation there, where Huckleberry would play in the snow with her and go back inside to become warm and eat bread because he found out it was one of his favorite meals. Kozel would run through the snow hunting, and surprisingly to Huckleberry, the coldness didn’t seem to bother her. Huckleberry was originally a messenger, but because of how much trouble Kozel can get herself into he decided to become a healer. He knows it'd be a lot of work, but for her, he's willing to do anything. He wants her to be safe, and even if it means spending days inside the cave reading, he's willing to do that. He is scared about how many there is and how well he would do since they do need money. Soon they want to move to an area and be able to make money doing their jobs, which Kozel is taking her time on. Kozel started bringing back more pelts for Huckleberry to sell, resulting in him buying more books to study in his free time of not doing his messenger work. Soon he will apply for the new class. Huckleberry could tell she trusted him because of her letting him do his healer work on her, attempting to heal her wounds when it could be a waste of time instead. Due to his poor magic, he couldn’t heal her as quickly as he would like to. This helped them bond quicker over time as he became more skilled, and she took on riskier prey knowing that he could heal her. This happened to cause more Krones to be spent, which was difficult. He wanted the right materials when it came to making sure she was safe and healthy. Sometimes with the extra money, she would allow him to buy some fruit, his favorite being peaches. Now having full trust, they are starting to think about becoming bonded together. They only feel it's right, and they know it will work out.

Stage 3 - Soul Mending ♦ The Soul Mending ritual takes place once a month under the full moon when the magic is the strongest. Both receive a magic-induced ribbon collar that ties them together as they undertake the ritual. Draw your Reosean and their bonded wearing the ribbon collars (color is up to you). What is their reaction to the newly formed bond? Do they take off running into the field or stand nobly still as they wait for the magic to settle? ♦ Bonded Reoseans work much better with one another, the bond strengthening them both individually and as a whole. Depict the pair using these newfound strengths in some way, whether it be taking down difficult prey, defending their home, making a difficult journey, or some other harsh task. ♦ With the bond finalized and the pair connected only by a pair of matching ribbons imbued with magical properties, they compete in a good-natured head to head challenge (this could be one of several things; hunting, a show of strength, etc. as long as they're challenging one another's skills in some way!) under the full moon. Does one party lose on purpose to show their lasting bond, or are both going to give it their all? Huckleberry and Kozel were so happy to finally get the ribbon collars showing their bond, and because of that Huckleberry FINALLY decided to hunt with her. He felt in love with her and she realized she was in love with him as well. They cared about each other, willing to do almost anything. The full moon floated above their heads with the leaves rustling as they hung from the branches of healthy trees. Stars were scattered across the sky as if someone spilled a cup of sugar all over the sky. Kozel was excited to start hunting with him. Of course, she was nervous as well, since who knows what changed with them? Did her powers, strength, and speed become better? And what about him? Did anything change the way they were before in a negative way? T hey were stronger together, and he was quicker. He finally was around her speed. They would soon hunt but first, he wanted to run. She loved the idea, and they ran together. Huckleberry watched her as she ran, so graceful. She wasn't even watching for things around her, it's like she knew we were safe. After all, no creatures would come up to us so late at night when we were running. We would just kill it, or run away. She was stronger herself, and it seemed like she was more trusting in him. They hunts they did were quick and full of care. Her movements were more graceful than ever before, as well as quicker, He was stronger and you could even hear his paws thud on the ground. Of course, that's not all they did. They even had ideas of what they COULD and should do.

First, they wanted to challenge each other through a hunting contest. Whoever could bring down the biggest prey and the most would win. It wasn't anything bad, just for fun. of course Huckleberry ended up killing just multiple fish since he couldn't bear to kill anything else. He only managed to kill one other thing, which was an elk but only because he cares deeply for her. It wasn't to difficult for him, even though it was one of the first times he hunted something like that. Kozel, on the other hand, ended up getting multiple foxes, rabbits, coyotes and even killed a wolf or two. She never got a single scratch, but then again she only hunted two wolves, nearly getting three. The rabbits were a quick kill with a snap of her jaws. In the end, she would always win when it came to hunting, but it was enjoyable for Huckleberry to see there were no more scratches on her. She may never get hurt again from simple prey, but he knew he would be able to heal her and even have to worry when it came to quests. She would talk to him about defeating Zataro herself, but she knew it'd never happen.

They felt restless, so they didn't sleep. Soon they would if they even could. The next day they knew they'd sleep all day since they were continuously running together without a stop. Their bodies didn't get tired while they did since the night was still young. Since they were in a special area or at least close, they went to the city to celebrate. Huckleberry got his money spent on items for her and jewelry, while he got himself more bread, he loves bread. he got more items for their den such as more cacti and flowers and paid for someone to deliver them. Her favorite flower they bought, was a large pink one with thorns. She avoided touching it, but was extremely happy just to get it. Kozel paid for things as well, but mainly indoor things. She bought a painted skull, as well as paintings and paid someone handsomely to cave their den out a bit better, where it would be one big square room with a large room for the both of them and another room carved in for storage. When they were walking home, they stopped to fish. He first brought the sled quickly, so that they could keep the fish. Kozel used her magic, mostly her ice, to freeze certain areas (But only small ones) to help them catch more fish. They didn't fail at catching many, and in fact, exceeded. Fishing together was slowly becoming more and more important to them and it's one of the many things that helped their bond only grow stronger. They finally finished the night, of course sleeping all day. Mainly a couple of things changed like how much they trust each other and feel connected to each other. They do more things together and don't worry as much about what the other is doing, unless of course if it's dangerous.

Huckleberry did feel uneasy about some things like if they would get into situations that could leave them upset with one another, trusting Kozel and knowing her how she does, she doubts it would happen. They now sleep together cuddling each other, which was rarer before. They weren't ready to get their souls mended together, in fact, they were scared. It all went well and they were happy about it, and they even want to do it again together. They walked together through the forest, to gather materials for their cave since they were going to be fixing it. Mainly they gathered rocks to use for flowerbeds that they were going to plant together. Additionally, making more travels to the village, they brought back logs and a statue featuring two vayrons together cuddling. Kozel got Huckleberry a jewelry piece as well, which was a special earing.

All in all, they were extremely happy that they were finally bonded. They wanted to stay together forever and felt so much stronger than ever before when they were together. This made hunting easier and quicker and healing funnier and more enjoyable. Even less stressful as well. They were excited to see what was in store for them, and their future together. Warrenfall - Hunt 1 - Bears Featuring Benn, Huckleberry, and Kozel. "Huckleberry. Sweetheart. Come with me and Benn. He's waiting for us outside!" Kozel told Huckleberry. "Mmmrhp. Later. It's too early for hunting. I don't wanna." He responded lazily. "Well, you gotta.". Huckleberry got up and nuzzled his beloved Kozel, before agreeing, "Fine. But what are we hunting today?". "Bears!" Benn bellowed as he walked in unexpectedly. "Bears?" Huckleberry echoed in question. "Yeah, listen to Huckle. We have to hurry. I saw bears earlier, but there were two. I didn't dare want to take them on alone. They were near the river, catching fish like we always do. I'm surprised even with all of our scents there they are there currently." Kozel mentioned. There was still fog in the air, and birds chirping. Today was beautiful, but of course, blood was going to be spilled. Living with Kozel, and especially being bonded to her, that was something Huckleberry was already getting used to. They all moved to the outdoors, and the sun hurt Huckleberry's eyes. After all, he just woke up. Benn looked like an eyesore in this area. He was so easy to see, but he didn't look beautiful here. Benn was quiet but happily walking alongside the path, behind both who walked together. Kozel was sniffing the air, alert. The grass was pulling at them, but not bushes anymore. Since they walked the path so many times, the bushes were no longer annoying. Benn even hummed a little, but soon stopped and got more serious as they got closer. "There. They're still there." He whispered. He got low, knowing he was to sneak in. The bears were there all right, just sitting in the grass together. One was a large grey one, the other brown.

Benn would turn his head back with a serious face quickly saying in a soft voice “We need a plan!” Huckle would make a creeped-out face and shake quickly and reply in a soft voice “D-Dude just chill out. I know we need a plan, but could you please chill with that face.” “What fac-, Oh Sorry!” Benn replied in a low voice. “We should get one of you to distract one bear while two of us are attacking a bear and then that distractor could run back to the other two and all three of us could attack the bear that got distracted?” Kozel commented. Both Benn and Huckle would have a shocked blank face and respond “W-Wow.” “I just thought of it alright?” Kozel replied. “I and Kozel will double-team one of the bears while you Benn will distract the other bear or in this case the bear that gets distracted,” Huckleberry responded. “Of course, this couple attacks a single bear in a duo of course.” Benn responded jealously “Just do it already” Huckleberry responded boorishly. Benn would rush past the bears quick enough to attract the bear’s attention. Both Bears would run in a line while both Huckleberry and Kozel would both jump and bite on the bear’s head while the other bear would continue to be distracted by Benn. The Bear would throw both Kozel and Huckleberry off his head leaving the bear bleeding below his head and trying to follow the other bear’s trails. Huckleberry would jump straight up and follow the bear, Kozel would join and follow Huckleberry. Huckleberry would catch up and jump and bite the bear’s legs making the bear scream and fall also attracting the other bear to go back. Benn would turn back and realize the bear was long gone so he’d go back the way he came from. Kozel would jump and bite near the bear’s lungs making the bear instantly die. “Nice Kill Kozel!” Huckleberry would proudly say. “Thanks!” Kozel replied. A dark tall shadow would appear behind Kozel and slash Kozel causing her to fall and pass out. Huckleberry would jump toward the dark shadow and bite its arm, the shadow would walk into the light revealing that it was the other bear that was supposed to be distracted by Benn. Huckleberry would fail to keep a grip of the bear’s arm and fall in disbelief. The bear would raise his arm following with sharp claws.

Huckleberry would close his eyes and accept death. Instead, he heard a bear screaming close to him. Huckleberry would slowly open his eyes hearing the words “C’mon! Bite 'em!” Benn said. “I can’t do this alone” Benn screamed, “It's now or never Huckle!” Benn encouraged. Huckleberry would get back up on his feet with tears in his eyes and bite the bear’s chest leading the bear to scream in pain and fear making the bear collapse and perish. “Man! That was a cl-, Is that Kozel?” Benn spoke in shock. Huckleberry would rush over to Kozel while Benn would slowly walk over to both. Luckily Huckleberry had the abilities now to be able to heal Kozel, in which he did. It took some work, but thankfully he could. For Huckleberry and Kozel;

6. Your character’s deepest fear is holding his or her relationship OR career back.

Huckleberry wanted to become a healer but he was worried for one important reason. The amount of blood he would see gushing out of the wounds of those he loves. Kozel, the one he's now bonded to, happened to get hurt pretty normally. He never wanted to experience her dying because of a lack of control over his abilities. He did want to heal every vayron he could, except for that evil. Kozel wanted back one night, in an obvious amount of pain. She was returning from an attempt of a hunt, which was a bear larger than her. Of course, he knew she was stronger at this point but he didn't trust the bonded tie they had completely. He knew it wouldn't keep her safe completely, so he worked harder. "Huckle... it hurts. Please help me. It's my shoulder and my leg." Kozel whimpered. Huckleberry took a look at her leg, which was bleeding just as badly as her shoulder. The main difference was that her leg was sprained. He only assumed the worst and didn't know how to deal with a sprained leg. "Just lay down. The best you can. I'll try my best to fix you up." He responded. There was blood all over her shoulder, and you could hear her pants. He knew she wouldn't, and couldn't even die. He wouldn't ever let her. She looked into his eyes, showing uneasiness and even stress. This didn't help at all. He did see trust though, which made him anxious. He went to the storage room of their home and brought back bandages and the necessary objects needed. He carefully washed her wound, with her squirming. It was obvious she was in a bunch of pain. "Just hold still..." He whispered as he focused. He took the bandages to wrap up her wound, after applying the cream. It was a large bite as if the alligator tried to swallow her whole leg whole. She saw how focused and confused he was, and mentioned; "He bit my front leg and caught me. I wasn't quick enough. I never hunted these creatures before and I thought I could and ultimately failed. Before you lecture me, I know I shouldn't be running into fights like that. And about my leg, it hit it hard with its tail." she finished. Huckleberry only nodded, he didn't want or need any more information. All he wanted to do was heal her, and so he would. He carefully moved onto her leg. It seemed to be sprained pretty badly, and so he first started with the blood. He cleaned the wound and applied a cream as he did with the other accident that happened to her. next, he applied a plastic bandage to it to stop the swelling. And finally, "Lift your leg.". "what? Why?" she responded. "Just do it, please. It will help." he finished. She obeyed, and everything was done. It was back to normal once again. He was proud of what he did but still worried. "Please, please please be careful. I can't stand losing you," he said. "I know. I love you."

Personal work + 1 Bonded Present + 2 521 words + 5 Total = 8 2. Your character discovers a dead body OR witnesses a death.

Huckleberry was terrified at what he just saw. He had no idea how to react, he was just scared. In front of him, next to the flaming fire, was the body of a dead vayron. He was scared of being where he was, with another vayron named Sorceress. Sorceress was the one who killed the vayron, and she only stood to stare at the body of the dead creature. She wasn't even moving. Huckleberry turned and ran back to his home, jumping over the spiky bushes that tore at his skin. His legs were weak and he didn't know if he was going the right way or if she was following her. Sorceress stood just staring at the body because she was shocked herself. She didn't chase Huckleberry, because she didn't want to make issues worse. She has a feeling they'd never talk again. The only reason she killed the vayron was that they were threatening to destroy the future cubs to Huckleberry because of him getting the job that they desired. The kill was easy for her, but she was scared as well. Huckleberry felt awful, not knowing why she did it. He only walked in on the situation and saw the blood pour out onto the damp sand of Warrenfall. The fire was flickering but soon died. Sorceress was already gone when it did. Leaves falling from the trees who prepared for the nearing winter crushed under Huckleberry’s paws, waking up Kozel who had still been sleeping, as he returned from their hidden storage with dried meat they would eat to gain some power in preparation for today’s hunt. A new friend of the couple, listening to the name Noah, had invited them to join him on today’s hunt for a bear. Noah himself would keep the meat which he wanted to be from bears for some reason, while he would leave Huckleberry and Kozel the pelt, who had planned to use it for further isolation of their cave always keeping in mind the upcoming winter. For now, though it was still cozily warm sitting next to their campfire close to each other, enjoying their breakfast and just this peaceful moment overall. Too soon though they had to get going as they didn’t wanna let Noah wait for too long and made their way eastwards over the path they would only know out of their memory having it taken so often, as the colorful leaves falling from the trees were hiding them, forming a carpet of red, orange and yellow on the forest’s ground. On their way, Huckleberry let his view wonder around over the landscape, whose quick change from everything being in full bloom in the summer to a large winter one he always wondered about around this time of the year. Where only weeks before trees had spent shadow from the sun burning around noon, there was now only the soft light a cloudy sky would make for, making everything look more lifeless as not only the shadows but also the highlights were less pronounced, making the colors blend in together to form a mushy, less colorful landscape. His fiance Kozel’s attention laid meanwhile on the birds, who were forming big swarms in the sky in preparation for their long journey to more southern territories, where they would spend the winter before coming back next spring. Looking at them flying away had something magical about it, as with them flew away from the summer’s heat, making a place for the winters cold. Noah was already waiting for them, as Kozel and Huck turned around the corner of a hill, hiding his home from too curious strangers. Trying to apologize for their late arrival, Kozel was relieved about Noah put it down as he would have only been ready a few minutes ago too, After quickly drinking some fresh water from the creek that flows near his den, the group of three was now led by Noah, as he knew where to find bears according to himself. As so often Huckleberry saw the best in him, but Kozel was a little skeptical about their new friends hunting skills, as he claimed to be born in Roenden as a reason why nobody around here had heard of his great adventures full of dangers and heroic fighting he always talked about. Quickly forgotten were the doubts though, when the Trio arrived at a river, in which two bears were hunting for fish, that would jump up out of the water when trying to get over small steps. Because of those bears' massive size, Kozel and Huck decided to hunt one down together, while Noah protested that he would prefer hunting one down alone, probably trying to prove his stories were true now. With the bears closer to the opposing shore, they crossed the river behind its next bend and all three of the duo got into attack position, waiting for Noah to attack his target first, leaving him the privilege of the best surprise moment. So shortly after Noah made a big leap forward now running through the flat water, Kozel sprinted towards the left bear too, closely followed by Huckleberry. Lucky for them that bear had just turned around to look out for what happened to his friend and they could attack him from the back, with Kozel jumping up to bite into his neck and the heavier huckleberry throwing him onto the ground. Noah was just as successful as the, so they took out the inner organs that were not edible and with combined power brought the rest back to Noah's den, where they stripped off the pelts. Their original plan was done now, but with the day not being over yet they decided to go on a hunt for a moose they had seen near Noah’s home on the way back. When they arrived at the clearing, two were left, which they then attacked spontaneously, resulting in success thanks to them being too heavy for any quick and unplanned reactions. Now the sun started going down and the three celebrated into the night the great day they had today with some moose and bear meat cooked over a campfire, which”s smoke was not to be seen in the dark sky, where clouds hid the tent of stars spanning across them. 828 words + 8 Bonded Present + 2 (Huckle and Kozel only) Total 10 CP LARGE ROLEPLAY - QUESTS - HUNTING - KOZEL AND HUCKLEBERRY Hunting - Rabbits - Warrenfall - Huckleberry and Kozel

Kozel looked over to Huckleberry, kissing him on the top of his muzzle. She was glad he was finally getting a good night's sleep because it seemed like something has been off lately with him. In fact, he’s been a little odder when more people started to live here but she didn’t know why. Cuddling up to her partner, she rested her head next to his to simply dream the rest of the morning away. She could feel the soft rhythm of his chest rising and falling, the sound of his heart beating. Huckleberry felt bad about how Kozel was trying to help him, as he didn’t talk about what happened to him lately with her, fearing she would not understand him. He had been extraordinarily sleepy, as he didn’t manage to sleep much for the last week, so now he was happy laying close to her, just relaxing while feeling her warm and soft body right next to him. For a moment he thought about how if he needed to choose one moment to stay in for the rest of his life, it would be this moment of absolute peace and calmness, feeling cared for by Kozel. Kozel, on the other hand, couldn’t really sleep, so she started to lick his ear to only get up later on. “I'll be back later, Huckle.” She said, walking out of her den which had beautiful vines and flowers hanging from the top of it. As soon as she left the entrance of the cave, she took a deep breath of the morning air. It was dawn, so she looked up to see cotton clouds of multiple colors with a bright sun slowly rising to its fullest light. She took another step forward, the leaves left from autumn's grace crunching under her paws. Immediately after his girl left, Huckleberry woke up, as he wouldn’t feel safe sleeping anymore and the bed felt way too big for only him to lay under the sheets alone. Without further thinking about it, he stood up too, following Kozel outside and gently kissing her neck as he sat down right next to her while laying one of his paws on hers, as they together watched the sunset as they did so often before. “So you're finally up Huckle?” Kozel said, nuzzling the soft fur of his neck.”Are you hungry as well? I'm willing to go get a quick meal for you. Unless if you finally want to do it together, I understand how you don’t like it so much.” she finished. She sat down close to him, fur touching. Continuing to breathe, she waited for his response understanding he was taking to long. “Lost in your thoughts again?” she asked. “What did you say? I’m sorry, I got lost in my thoughts again.”, Huckleberry ironically replied, shortly after adding: “Oh, if you want we can hunt together today. I know how much you like it and we haven’t in a long time”. He hoped this would make her happy, as he was feeling guilty about him pulling her down so much with his moods during the last days. Kozel thanked him and gave him a kiss, before running ahead down the path to the clearing they would hunt rabbits at so often. Kozel focused on the path ahead of her, jumping over the rocks instead of sticking to the normal trail that they usually do. She was curious if Huckle could keep up with the rabbits, becoming worried that he may be becoming extremely ill. She watched out for the leaves and sticks that may crunch under her weight, in order to not scare the rabbits away. She hopped over logs, medium-sized rocks that had moss painted onto it, and small streams. She suddenly stopped in case Huckle lost her. Huckleberry wasn’t too far behind and actually bumped into her, as she suddenly stopped, both of them falling to the ground and laughing. But soon he realized that Kozel noticed how heavy he was breathing, looking at him with the worries written on her face. Ignoring that he started walking towards the clearing, which was now already insight. “Look, over there is a rabbit. If you want, I’ll leave the first one to you,” he said. Being unsure of how to feel, Kozel focused her thoughts onto the rabbit. After all, she wanted him to eat. She lowered her body, eyes locked onto the rabbit's body. She could see how the wind disrupted the flow of the fur and shot forward when the wind calmed down. She scared it causing it to run away automatically, but she luckily got her jaws on it before it could escape. Being a skilled and quick hunter, this wasn’t an uncommon situation. Proud of herself, she turned to Huckle. “Your turn. How about you eat mine and I eat yours?” she asked, smiling at him as she walked over. “Sounds like a great idea. But first, off I have to catch one, so let's wait until some come back out as you have scared them away for the moment,” Huckleberry replied. About a minute later a big rabbit had made the mistake to leave his burrow again and the Vayron rushed forwards, trying to make a leap forward. But Huckleberry noticed that something was wrong, he didn’t have the right power in his legs and so only caught the rabbit moments before it would have reached the safe forest. Walking slowly back to Kozel he tried to hide how exhausted he already got by this short sprint. Bonded Present + 2 Hunting + 1 Land Bonus +1 927 words + 9 Total = 13

M-QUEST 1: The Scent of An Old book - Warrenfall - Huckleberry and Kozel They headed back to their cave, satisfied by the hunt. As Kozel walked back with Huckle, she couldn’t help but ask him questions The sun was fully out, shimmering on their coats. She could see how he was losing hair, which was starting to worry her even more. “Huckle, I can tell something is going on. Can we just go to the village and get you checked out? You're even being odd. Normally… you're happy.” she said, starting to get upset. She sat down, expecting him to as well when she dropped her rabbit she got for Huckle. He decided that it was time to tell her now and set down too, very close to her, putting his paws on hers. “Lately I haven’t been feeling very good. It started about a month ago and got worse, especially in the last week.” Kozel looked scared. Continuing: “Both my dad and his dad died from an illness, that nobody knew how to heal. Normally it would only come at an old age, but I am worried it might have gotten me earlier now. Last week I went to the oldest priests and asked them for help.” “What did they say?”, Kozel asked. “This is the part I didn’t want to tell you, but I feel like not telling you were like lying: There is a way to save me, but only the oldest has ever done it and he is now too old to do it himself. I can only be helped by sharing blood and becoming one soul with the Vayron I am closest with. But don’t think it would be a good idea, as there is the risk of both of us dying in the process and we will have to get an old amulet for the priest to do the ritual of our ancestors. Now, I didn’t want to ask you whether you want to do it, because it’s so unsure what the outcome will be. So before you make a decision, think about it for a night and I want you to know that I don’t expect you to say yes at all.” he finished. Kozel was surprised at the news, unsure of what to think of it. Of course, she was willing to do anything for him. She didn’t even bother to think before agreeing, “Of course Huckle. Anything for you. Please, explain that a little better though. You mean we need to get an item for it to work? Like old magic? How rare is it exactly? What happens to it if we use it?” she asked all the questions. She had sorcerer friends that managed to use magic pretty often, in fact, helping her with her own magic. She knew herself though that they would request a lot of items, or perhaps one of her most important books. She had a book about old magic that she would always try to learn, but could never read it. It would pain her to be rid of it if it's even what they wanted. “I may be able to help.” she decided. “The old priest told me that it is a special kind of amulet the ancestors used to enchant for this kind of rituals to be performed with them later on. Unfortunately, it has been over two hundred years since the last amulets were enchanted, as the knowledge of this was lost during the war. Nowadays even the circle of wise only knows about a handful of them being left and getting anyone of the ones that are owned by other clans is going to be impossible. They would never give them away though, so there is really only one option for us: Down in the swamp caves one is secretly stored. My dad told me shortly before he died, that an ancestor of me had hidden it down there in case one of his ancestors would ever get this illness in their young years, and I guess this is me now.” Huckleberry looked at Kozel, wondering what she thought about all of this. “Ah…” Kozel didn't know how to respond, so she simply responded with what first came to mind. She was thinking about starting right away when the day was still young. She started to eat her rabbit before responding, “Eat your rabbit. We are going to head out right away then Huckle. I don’t want to see you gone.” she stated, shocked at what she said. She loved him dearly, and it seemed like Huckle had pain in his eyes. Normally she would be mad at him for something like this, due to not being prepared beforehand. In this situation, she simply couldn’t. He didn't think it would happen so early, he must have thought I would die first and he didn’t want to be there without me. After all, he's chatted about losing me due to how dangerous I could be with what I do, a hunter. Additionally, it was why he wanted to become a healer. “We should prepare before heading out to the swamps. It can be dangerous down there and while I know how good of a hunter you are, I don’t want you to have to take care of both yourself and me, as I won’t be worth too much in my current state, Huckleberry replied. He knew she wouldn’t like waiting any longer, but in the end, agree doing the right thing. “Maybe we could ask that Tyrian you know for help. He could protect us, while we search for the amulet. I am sure it won’t be that easy to find after all the time in that moist cave and we could concentrate on finding it when having backup securing us from alligators in there. Do you think he would help us?”. Trying to remember, Kozel found out what he meant. There was a tyrian she recently met, named Brian. He was a large flying pink mess of happiness, but serious when he needed to be. He’d be perfect for this mission. “Yes,” she started. “Let's get prepared right now. We will have to go to his home first.” I said. I knew Brian lived pretty close anyway, so I wasn't too worried. In fact, I think he lived just outside the village like us. “Huckle, you can prepare while I get him. I'll bring a book to him because after all, he loves books. I know he'll return it.” Of course, talking about the book she loved so dearly. Brian was trusted by her, so she felt safe about him having it. “Alright, I will try to regain some power by taking a nap in the meantime. Otherwise, I won’t stand through all of what needs to be done today. Please make sure to take care of yourself through everything that will happen. It is one thing if you get hurt hunting for yourself, but something completely different if you get hurt trying to save me. If we would ever get in a situation, and I don’t think we will, but just in case: If we ever get in a situation where you have to decide between you or me living, let me go.`` he said, trying to hide the tears in his eyes as she left after giving him a kiss on his neck as a goodbye, leaving him sleeping in the safety of their cave both got to love so much. Having the book she liked so much, but was, just like nearly everything, happy to give away for Huckleberry, with her, she made herself on the way to Brian’s place. He lived not far away, but the two hours it would take to bring him were still quite some time considering what was currently going on. Kozel already felt bad only leaving Huckle only alone for a minute after she now knew about the limited time she and Huckleberry might only have left together, but she forbade herself to think in that way. They would save him and have a whole life full of happiness left together, but for that, she now needed to concentrate on the tasks in front of her. Arriving at Brian’s home Kozel prayed silently he was home. If the Tyrian was currently out hunting or meeting somebody, they would have to find somebody else, which could take quite some time. Entering his cave she didn’t find him inside and broke up in tears as she was about to leave the clearance in front of the cave entry, as suddenly he landed with a big woosh. “What are you doing here Kozel? Is everything okay? You look sad.”, the Tyrian called Brian said. Kozel told him a short version of Huckleberry’s story and why she came to him, asking him for help. “Of course I will help you. And I don’t even want to accept that book, maybe just lend it to me for a few weeks. What kind of friend would I be, trying to use that my friend's partner is dying to get something from her I want? Let’s better go now before I get mad at you!” he replied, showing he obviously wasn’t mad at her at all, quite the contrary in fact. On their way back, he tried to lift her up a bit by telling her a story about a friend of his that had been saved with ancients magic too, which actually helped her a lot. Just now Kozel realized what good of a friend he actually had become to Huckle and herself. Arriving back at their cave, she went to look for Huckleberry, who had managed to get some sleep and told him the good news that their friend would help them out. Hunt, Warrenfall - Huckleberry - Kozel - Noah Moose and Bear

"Hurry up Huckleberry! We are almost there." Noah pleaded. Huckleberry was meant to hunt with Noah, but instead, he was just slowing both down. "Let's hurry up please." He asked again, as Huckleberry just stood there after his first comment.

"I didn't want to come here. You know that right?" Huckleberry responded strictly. As he did so, he started to walk again past Noah. The dirt was sticking into his paws slowly, which personally upset him. "KOZEL!" he screeched, waiting for her to appear. She was busy smelling the different bushes and trees that were on opposite sides of the forest but her ears perked up as she noticed him requesting her, and she smiled as Noah patiently stood there.

"Got anything?" Noah asked as soon as Huckleberry opened his mouth.

"Yes. A bear, in fact, a moose as well," she stated. At this, Noah smiled at.

"Great, let's go. Lead the way," he said as Huckleberry started to walk towards the forest where Kozel was last. She nodded her head at Huckleberry and went over to nuzzle him. Noah followed behind them both, ignoring the nuzzling. As they entered the forest, he noticed the different colors that weren't in Thedale, only Warrenfall. "Do you know what kind?" he asked suddenly, curious.

"Just a normal bear. I heard them fighting as well. There was some blood on the moose that was left behind from slight wounds. The bear must have picked up on it in fact." she stated, obviously wise about the situation.

"No wonder you're a hunter." Huckleberry complimented. "Now, this way?" he asked as he turned as if he caught the scent himself.

"Yes," she responded. Noah continued to simply follow them, avoiding bushes due to not wanting bits stuck in his fur. "So, I know they'll be together. I'll try to kill the bear, you guys take on the moose. I smelled two, but obviously one would already be killed or escaped." she stated, looking at Noah and Huckleberry to make sure they would listen.

"Alright. I never thought a moose before anyway." Noah stated, happy to try out something new while Huckleberry continued to stay silent.

"You hear that?" Kozel asked them, stopping them with their tail. Further in the forest sounds of roars were heard, obviously being the moose and bear fighting. "Alright. Seems like they are fighting. Let's hurry." she stated. Huckleberry asked why they wouldn't just wait until later, but Kozel and Noah knew why. Practice. Kozel instinctively jumped forward through the bushes, exposing herself to an open field where the sky was blazing down on the two fighting creatures. She was quick and silent, neither creatures noticing her. The grass was tall as well, which helped hide her. Rocks were further behind them, along with a beautiful green mountain and the sea even further with the exception of forests attempting to block it from her sight. "Now!" she said, jumping onto the creature right away. Noah and Huckleberry headed for the moose, who was too injured to fight back.

"I think its leg is broken!" Huckleberry stated, with Noah biting the injured leg. The moose tried to hit them with its antlers, but Huckleberry swiftly dodged. Noah jumped back and rounded upon it again by latching its claws into the hindquarters of the moose, where nothing was injured. It attempted to kick him and run at Huckleberry, who happened to be ready. Every time it attempted to attack him, he would swiftly dodge and claw its side. Noah jumped off as soon as the creature was to close to kicking him, and bit into its hindlegs once again, nearly starting to make it fall. Later on, with more fighting, Noah managed to be the one that did the final hit. Huckleberry was clawing at its throat before Noah finished it off.

While that was going on, Kozel circled the bear at the very beginning. She growled at it a bit and launched forward to nip at it with every chance she got. The bear got on all four paws soon after, and attempted to claw her multiple times but being a skilled hunter she always dodged. She managed to become good at dodging from previous hunts, so this was fairly simple. She clawed the sides of the bear and even started jumping onto it to bite into its neck since it was fairly small compared to her. She growled as she did so, and even started mainly attacking the throat where soon it managed to fall. The bear left a light scratch or two on her, but nothing to worry about. By the time they finished, the sun was slowly falling down from the sky. "Jeez!" she said, "How are we going to bring this home? Also, Im guessing the other moose escaped." she questioned them.
