War is never easy, especially for those who are in love with someone from the other side. The young couple met during the war: a handsome clarpel warrior who was maybe too soft and spared the life of an equally beautiful farmer roset. Since then, they have been exchanging glances and hiding in the shadows, making promises to the day when they could be together, day that they couldn't believe that had finally arrived. The peace treaty was real.

Their love grew fast and strong but so did the dreams of the Roset; some daring thoughts had been crossing her mind and a few days before their Marriage Ceremony, she spoke out: "We should leave the island." Her groom couldn't tell if it was a joke or not, so she explained her reasons: "We survived the war, even though we thought we'd never be able to, we did it, we can do anything. Plus, I don't want to raise our children in a land once bathed in my ancestors' blood". The Clarpel was afraid but his love for his bride was bigger than any fear, and he agreed: "Yes, we can do anything."

The story that a young couple would leave to explore the world quickly spread through the island and, even though many were skeptical about it, many were equally curious. The couple received so much support that what would be, originally, a simple ceremony, had become a big celebration. The days of peace surely grew some overconfidence in the clarosians' hearts.

It was a clear night, everyone was celebrating at the beach, cheering for the couple who would leave right after their Marriage Ceremony. They had agreed with the Wizard Brothers to take in their Rose Pod once they are back from their travel, which was planned to be around three months long. A small boat prepared by their parents, as a gift for their matrimony, was waiting on the shore. Everything was perfect.

However, when they were about to leave, a storm started to kick in, as if a warning sign. Concerned, the Clarpel looked for his wife, whose expression hadn't changed at all, "We can do anything." she said with a smile, while untying the last knot which was holding the boat to the shore.

They did sail, but it didn't last long.

As if provoked by the action of the couple, the storm shook the ocean, creating waves too giant for their boat to endure. Realizing the stupid mistake they had made, the two tried to turn back the boat, but it was too late, they were already sinking. Muffled noises of water torrents and desperate screams from the beach mixed inside her head, breathing had never been so difficult. She sank in the sea, but also in her own regrets.

...

It's said that the Roset can still be seen floating over the ocean, wearing her once gorgeous wedding dress and scaring away adventurers who stray too far from the shore, protecting them from having the same fate as her. If that is a real story or just a tale mothers tell their child to keep them away from the sea, is something we'll never be certain about; the only thing we can be sure of, is that everyone fears the unknown.
