Pumpkin spice, that was the scent that had been tickling Zia’s nose ever since she entered the busy city hub, her and Meiron were out on a job (well her rider was, she had of course tagged along to make sure everything went well) when the odd smell had reached her, completely out of place where wires, machinery and electric currents ran riot. Leaving Meiron to finish of his business she’d decided to track it down; slipping into the back alleys before climbing up the side of the massive skyscraper, every now again peering through the glass and into the rooms beyond, the higher she got the stronger the scent was, until she eventually peered through the glass into a spacious lab… where a small orange colored dragon fluttered about, carrying tiny strings of lights as dust dropped from her wings. It took zia only a moment to find a small damaged vent, and she slipped inside, whiskers twitching as she wormed her way inside, claws prizing the vent open on the other side; where the pumpkin spice smell all but overpowered her. Sneezing she dropped down to the floor, peering up as the jungle dragon landed in front of her her wings folded back into the beetle like shell. “What you up to?” She asked, curling around a bit as she peered at the scarce laboratory, where dozens of small enclosures stacked up on one another.

Hazel had frozen when the thunder dragon dropped from the ceiling, but unlike Manta this one was as small as her, her first thought was that Liam had returned early, before she had everything ready, and though she relaxed slightly as it wasn’t Liam, the unknown hybrid wasn’t exactly a welcome guest; but she hadn’t been found out. Sensing only curiosity from the wyrm dragon she replied. “Decorating… or trying to.” Hazel said, indicating the half hung lights and other random baubles lying around. “Liam keeps getting distracted so i thought i’d get it done whilst he was out.” She explained; she watched the hybrid dragon twine a whisker around a metallic claw, as if thinking. “I can help?” came an offer, though it was posed as a question… and Hazel knew enough of thunder dragons to know they rarely did anything for free.. Or not for their own benefit. “I’m sure Liam has some spare wires and coils that i can give you? And extra pair of claws would be most helpful.” Hazel offered.

Zia grinned, she didn’t mind wires and coils, they were a rarity for her normally, and she was sure this Liam had other edibles on hand as well. “Deal.” she responded, darting up towards where the half hung lights were. Between the two of them, they managed to get the lights hung up…. Though the fact they kept lighting up whenever Zia touched them was a tad bit distracting; the tinsel got stuck all around the top of the enclosures, with each one sporting a bauble. In between bits, Zia raided the rest of the lab, not touching anything she felt the other would get wrong for, though the large enclosure full of bugs was too much to resist, and she grabbed a couple, some for her and some for Hazel, who continued to flutter here and there adjusting the decorations as she went.

A faint sound echoed and Zia froze, a wire or two in her jaw., the hum of another thunder dragon echoing on her senses. “I think I'd better scarper.” Zia mouthed, eagerly accepting a few more coils and wires… all of which were covered in the same dust that now covered the whole of the lab. Hazel nodded. “Yes.. I don't think Manta would appreciate another thunder dragon, thank you for your help though.” She fluttered up as Ziathiel slipped back into the air vent, and waited only until she could no longer hear the other dragon before flying to her own enclosure and waiting for Liam to enter…

Zia stuck her head out of the vent, eyes gleaming as she looked out over the brightly lit city, maw full of wires and coils which had been her payment; she didn’t know how this Liam would take his lab been decorating, but it had been a fun outing for her. Humming she began to head back to Meiron, deep in the heart of the city.
