A Refreshing Swim

Russet stepped tiredly along the edges of the pool, staring into the brilliant blue waters. Today had to be one of the hottest days he had experienced, and being a Kitbull with thick fur made it much worse. Almost all methods Russet had tried led to failure too, making the heat all the more unbearable.

There was the most obvious idea, staying in Brouhaha. After all the place had air conditioning and ice cold drinks. But it wasn't entertaining inside, all his companions had left to go explore the city and gambling wasn't appealing at all. That and Russet had no tokens to gamble with. So clearly, staying in Brouhaha was the most uninteresting route he could take in this heat-beating quest. He had the idea to go to another hotel, somewhere more interesting for a Kitbull like him. There were many places he could stay after all, and Harara had many sights to see. But there was the second issue, Russet couldn't afford to go to another hotel, he wasn't loaded with cash. And so, he abandoned that idea too.

There were many smaller ideas too, like ordering ice-cream or having a nap. But Russet reasoned against all of them, they just didn't sit with him. Eventually he even tried out running a cold bath, only for it to be overrun by two mischievous Seasuns. That moment enlightened him however, as it clicked that the actual obvious idea was in plain sight. He felt like a fool, how could he have not seen the one option that was oh so clearly right in front of him?

To visit the pool at Brouhaha Hotel.

That's why he was now out here, standing at the edge of the pool. With one step he allowed himself to enter the water, body relaxing as the cool water sunk through his fur and brushed his skin. This truly was bliss.
