A Dance, And Something More

The applause followed then as Seth let the pale face go from the gentle kiss that bonded them. He didn’t pull away quickly though, admiring the other male’s face that was framed so nicely by their pretty hair. Seth wasn’t fond of this big event buuuuut, it couldn’t be helped as it was ‘traditional’. Simon had made sure that he didn’t displease his parents too much, and told the young master he could of course bond with his pet, but it had to be in the traditional ways that would appease the two people who came together to give birth to him. The only grace they ever provided him with, as far as the feline was concerned.

Leading Sylas from the podium by the hand, he was also quite uncomfortable dressed up in the still penguin suit he was also made to wear. He hates the coats so, leaving so little room for the nice breeze on his arms. He did agree it made him look oh so lovely, and the looser clothes on his husband were eye pleasing in alllll the right ways to him. Their honeymoon was already planned out in his head, if Sylas knew it or not.

There weren't a lot of people, but it still surprised Sylas how many servants actually worked in the manor. Likely something he shouldn't be shocked about, it'd take a lot of people to keep the place neat and tidy, but still. Crowds were something he would have to get used to.

Linking his arm with Seth's, he was taking the ceremony all very formally, not thinking too much of the I do's or even the kiss. Though he did wind up blushing lightly at it, especially when his new husband lingered close after. It was his first considering his warlock teacher had normally been the only person he had to interact with in the tower, so he had a hard time keeping eye contact as they stared.

Finally though, it was over, and they could head off away from the gathering. He was glad that he didn't have to wear something as stuffy as Seth's suit. Used to the flowing garments, the looser robe embedded with gems and jewels was a little gaudy, but admittedly beautiful against his fairer skin. "So," he grinned over to his new partner, "What would my last name happen to be now? I think I might have skipped over that part in the paperwork." Though truthfully he had skipped everything and simply signed away for that strategically placed book offering.

Keeping his new favored pet and husband close, Seth would be lying if he didn’t say he was quite excited now. It had been years since he had this sort of interaction with someone, and even then many of the years were getting his previous pet to behave in a way he likes. As his ears drooped at the memory of his previous lover, he shook it from his mind. They were gone, and now he has Sylas, a nice pretty boy with long purple hair that would look so nice in his bed when their clothes came off.

Not that he could have that just yet, as they crossed the floor Seth looked around before to Simon who was standing off to the side. He recognized the music from many gatherings and events he attended, it was the sound of the dance music that anyone who was anyone would stop to take up once dance with. With he being newly bonded, that meant he should dance with Sylas. Squinting at his butler who made dance motions, his shoulders dropped as he gave in, he did want to give his new partner a memorable time at least.

Spinning Sylas and watching the looser fabrics flare up, oh he wished to only touch the skin they hid but nooooo, he had to be a propper royal prince and do this ceremony correctly. He supposed as long as his parents weren’t here it was fine, they often liked to pick him apart on how he danced with people. So up close and personal, oh that was so undignified of him!

“Shall we dance, darling?” He purred, taking the other male’s hand in his with a kinder smile not many would get in their lifetime.

Tilting his head up slightly at the music, Sylas's long ears twitched at the sound of music. He didn't have much reason to learn any steps in his tower. With that slight hope that they would be caaaasually making their quick escape from the hall, that was even more quickly dashed with a spin. Not that he'd say so out loud, but it was surprisingly entertaining to have the robes flower outward. Perhaps he'd change to a looser style of clothing more permanently. Though little did he know this was already in other plans.

Humming at the other hand, he couldn't exactly say no as they purred out that pet name with a smile. "I never learned how to dance properly," the least he could do was admit that he might end up stepping on some toes if they were going to go with those traditional ways. Sure, Sylas was light on his feet, but he didn't want to ruin the wedding day with sore toes.

“That’s fine, I’ll take the lead.” Used to inexperienced people as well as experienced, Seth knew they should get at least one dance in before he whisked the other away for a time he desired more in the moment. Those more adult activities could wait, for now it was time to seduce his new darling pet who seemed to have never experienced the more lavishing life.

Resting a hand on the small of the other’s back, he moved and swayed, not seeming to mind as the other fumbled and moved more slower to the fae could keep up and not just cling to him the entire way. It also gave him the chance to have him close, studying that nice and perfect pale skin and long hair that was undone for the moment, and those long twitching ears that just begged to be nibbled on.

A bit flustered at being dragged along anyway, Sylas reminded himself not to sigh or groan at the event. All he wanted was to go back to the bedroom, lay down, and probably curl up with his new husband. From what he understood of the human culture, he wouldn't have to worry about the honeymoon for a day or two in this day and age. If at all, though the more he studied Seth, the more he was getting the inkling that he was more than just a trophy husband.

Which was fiiiine, he had gotten the opportunity to read at least a few pages while the maids brushed out his long hair. Boy was it worth it. He couldn't wait to get back and pour over the rest of it. Possibly with the other as well, they didn't seem nearly as tired from all the activity as the magic user.

Looking into their single exposed eye, Sylas was finally able to take his own eyes off of their feet while rapidly memorizing the step sequence. "You're quite different than I imagined for someone offering such an impressive collection of spells and grimoires." Rich, he expected, young with a surprisingly kind smile at someone he bought, not so much. Though he was catching an unusual sort of look from them now and again. Right after a twirl here, or when the robe would flutter up a little higher with the wind. He couldn't place it or know why, but it was a bit embarrassing for some reason.

As the song drew to an end, and the other dancing people around them started to disperse, Seth was more than happy to wander off as the others enjoyed themself on this big and important day. Sure he could stick around a little more, maybe chat with a few people who were so happy that the young master had settled down, but no. Seth wanted to ‘complete’ the bonding process and enjoy his husband in a way only he was allowed to.

“Well, hopefully that’s taken in a good way, it’d be a shame for you to try and back out now and have those lovely books taken away from you.” Holding Sylas’s hand in his as he led them off, it was easy enough to slip out of the crowd and head towards upstairs where his (and now Sylas’s) sleeping area was. Of course the fairy had a room of his own but sleeping next to his husband wasn’t an unforeseeable and unexpected thing being now bonded.

Pushing open the door, letting Sylas head in first, Seth smiled at that boy with a more devious smile as he followed after. His tail gave a flick as he stared at the other with a flaming desire. It was obvious the new bond mate hadn’t read the contract, but Seth would be mooooore then happy to walk him through with a more hands on approach.

“Let’s hope you enjoy taking the name Morrow, let’s finish up on the rest of that contract now.” He purred, closing the door behind him as he entered, and locking it as well as a time he didn’t want disturbed was going to run its course.
