Quirk

Name of your quirk: ‘Parasite’

Description: Hydne has fungal properties. He can produce fungal spores from his hands that infect the opponent’s muscle tissue, allowing him to ‘possess’ them like puppets, control their movements, and see what they see.
Strength: Complete control of opponents’ movements for a time, useful for espionage and information-gathering, as well as distraction and temporary neutralization. By paralyzing the opponent long enough, he is able to turn them into vectors capable of infecting other opponents he cannot reach on his own, allowing for long-distance infiltration. Possession has to be deliberate, so accidental infection is not a concern. In emergencies, his sap can be consumed by others for an energy boost, at the cost of Hydne’s pride.

Weaknesses: Can only control one person at a time. Has no control over his own body when ‘possessing’ others, so must be in a secure place. A side effect of spore production is the secretion of bright red, sickly-smelling sap (‘guttation’) from the pores of his skin that may lead to his detection. Possessed individuals are prone to twitching and unnatural gaits (which he works hard to improve), and they can only speak a few words.

How did you obtain it (what was happening at the time): Hydne has displayed physical traits of his quirk (spores and sap) from birth. At age three, he began suffering blackouts with vivid images flashing through his head. Later, it was learned this was the beginning of his possession quirk.
