Sorrow Thoughts all alone (angsty ish)
It was a year after Ariel and Ken finally defeated Anankos. Hoshido and Nohr were united as one and Ariel was ruling Valla peacefully with Kaze. Ken had left for his home country,and as he left,Ariel finally realized what she needed to tell everyone,but finally got the words that she was looking for in bed.
"Hey Kaze?" Ariel asked as her husband was about to fall asleep.
"Yes?" He replied.
"There's something I need to tell you."
"Is it about our country?"
"Sort of.... You remember when we let that kid in our group that nearly killed us,and Anankos turned him into a Faceless?"
"You mean him don't you." Ariel know exactly who the him Kaze was referring to. Everytime they said his name,Ariel would get emotional.
"Well,Mikoto said that I was taken to Hoshido as a baby,but really,more as a toddler." Ariel continued
"So?"
"Let's just say,that Anthony was a very close friend of mine. Everytime we had to flee,he often found us. He always thought it was a big game of Hide and Seek. But it was more like Hide and Survive. My mom never trusted him,but looked him just for how innocent he was in a world so dark. When we had to leave Valla for good,I never saw him until we found him again that day. Since we were such close friends,I never expected him to be serving Anankos.... But when we did have to fight I couldn't bring myself to hurt him....."
"That's why you get so emotional huh?" Kaze asked as he sat up.
"Yeah. That's why I had Subaki do it. But I didn't realize that I was riding on his Pegasus,so I saw everything... It still hurts..."
"I see. Just know that we will always be here,life or death...."
After that,Ariel just broke down crying. It felt so good to get it off of her chest,but she was still heartbroken. Her one friend in Valla that was always there,just turned evil and had to be killed.
"I'm sorry it had to be that way. At least he's in a better place,no longer suffering...."
But what nobody knew was that Anthony's spirit still followed Ariel and her army around,just like when the 2 were kids,watching over her.
