When the lights first appeared in front of Kai, he was intrigued and sensed their magic. After watching them dance about for many minutes he felt a second calling within him. He sensed that he needed to follow after the lights, that they needed to take him somewhere. So he left, followed by his companions, Button and Moki.

Kai had followed these lights an indefinite amount of time down the forest trail. The trail is lined with ancient gnarled trees creating dark shifting silhouettes on the ground. Suddenly, the trail is illuminated, not by the lights, but by hundreds of glowing seeds. They glow softly, in an unthreatening way. They seem to glow with the very essence of fall. Kai steps back warily at the appearance of the seeds, and looks around him to talk to the other esk. Yet, they are nowhere to be seen. Kai's eyes narrow, and he looks around him, but all he can see are the seeds, the trail, and the sky. The moon is beginning to rise, replacing that day's high sun, seemingly as high as the sun on the day of a solstice. The trees only begin casting more shadows upon the ground, making the forest atmosphere spooky. Kai likes the feeling of being along once more and continues on his way, still very much at peace, much more so than usual. He walks a little ways further, before coming to a wide clearing. It through a high stone wall, with ivy crawling over it, an incredibly unusual sight in the forest. Kai steps through the opening, and into a light grassy glade, with a canopy of trees overtop of it. A small stream is trickling through, over to the left of Kai, and the ground is covered with dew left over from the morning. A breeze blows by, filling Kai's head with the mouthwatering scent of something he can't quite place. The quiet clearing is suddenly interrupted by a twig snapping, followed by another, and another, and a rustle of leaves. Kai whips his head around, yet he sees nothing. When Kai is satisfied that there is nothing around him, and no one around him, he turns back slowly. Instead of seeing the glowing seeds of several minutes ago, Kai is startled to find many bushes of beautiful shiny bright red berries. They are wild raspberries, with their prickly bushes and bright green leaves, The berries are perfectly ripe, yet they were not there only moments ago. Kai knows they were put there by magic, and that they come from the very same seeds that he followed to get to this spot, for not only the luscious berries, but they entire plants are glowing with a soft golden light, shimmering in the constantly darker growing evening. Kai would have laughed if he could, for he was filled with a jubilance he had never felt before, not even when he was alive. The feeling of the changing season and the abundance of the harvest, combined with the undoubtedly magic occurrences that he was able to experience are too much, too good to be ignored. The night grows darker still, and the bushes grow brighter, representing everything good in the fall, everything becoming cooler and happier, even just for a few months before the onset of the cold winter that will rampage through the forest like a wild and untamed horse. But for now, there is peace and this harvest represents that, not only for Kai but for the whole forest.
