Two shivered as a snowflake landed on his nose. He had been walking for what felt like hours but he still had no idea where he was. “That’s the last time I let Oliver convince me to join in on one of his ‘brilliant ideas’.” Two grumbled as he continued walking, dragging his sled behind him. In hindsight, going sledding on a massive hill that wasn’t there the day before wasn’t the smartest thing he ever did, but Oliver’s ‘genius idea’ of putting butter on the sleds to make them go faster was even worse. The giant hill (which turned out to be a snow monster who was NOT happy to be sledded on) was steep enough on its own and he would have gone fast enough without the butter. However, Two had let Oliver put butter on his sled and as a result he and his sled went flying deep into the forest when the snow monster he was sledding on decided to stand up.

Two sighed, the thick blanket of snow made all the trees look the same and the falling snow was quickly covering his footprints, so he couldn’t be sure he wasn’t just walking in circles. After walking for a while longer he decided to take a break. He found a large pine tree to sit under that would hopefully keep most of the falling snow off of him. He was cold and tired and he had no idea where he was. To make matters worse, the sun was beginning to set. There was no way that he could make it out of this forest in the dark. Unfortunately, all that walking had really tired him out and he soon fell asleep.

When he woke, it was dark out. Two was so upset that it took him a while to notice that his sled had disappeared. “Where did my sled go?” Two muttered, trying to think of what woodland creature would be big enough to steal his sled. Two looked at the space where his sled used to be, and noticed that there were tracks in the snow from his sled being dragged. He realized that it must have stopped snowing while he was asleep, so at least he had that going for him. He got up and started following the tracks in the snow. He wasn’t going home without his trusty sled.

After a bit, he came across a clearing, and in the middle of the clearing was a group of what looked like giant Mashy the Potatomans. They were all crowded around his sled, taking turns trying to put it on their heads. “The butter! They must like the butter that Oliver put on my sled!” Two exclaimed, attracting the attention of the Mashies. Two quickly covered his mouth, but it was too late, the Mashies started heading towards him. Suddenly, they stopped. The Mashy who was wearing Two’s sled as a hat stepped forward and pointed to Two’s left. Then all the other Mashies did the same. Two looked to his left, ‘was that the way home?’ he wondered. When he turned back, he discovered that the Mashies had disappeared, taking his sled with them. It must have made for a nice hat. He turned back and started walking in the direction that the Mashies had pointed, and soon he could see the lights of the houses in Tigereye Peak. If he wasn’t so tired, Two could have jumped for joy. He started running towards the lights, eager to get home.
