Breeder #1

The bayou was crowded.... which for a dark and foreboding place as her 'den' that was unusual; the roots of the tree that encompassed the 'living' area seemed far smaller than usual, Senka, not wanting to be a third wheel had moved further up the tree, out of the way of the rather.. socially inept male that had landed..... Had Storm not argued his case, Rune had been tempted to eat him... but social ineptness aside, and his large size... she could find no fault with the Havoc, as he was named. Even now he'd curled up (it had been interesting getting him into the den in the first place), he had been careful not to damage anything, had even brought a decent 'meal' not only for Storm but for Senka as well ... of course... once inside, he couldn't do much to help set up the area for the eggs that Rune knew Storm was carrying, the small ball of fluff had expanded to a point that she couldn't move, and even now was reclining against the male as she purred.

Which of course meant that Rune was doing the work; her antennae twitched as she looked over the massive roots that held up the swampy earth at bay, her vents flaring as she considered her options, expand the area too much and she compromised the integrity of the hall, but... it did need slightly more space.... flexing her forelimbs she pulled on the dense shadows and pushed the roots slightly; aware of Havoc relaxing somewhat as the space expanded; it was slow going, both because the roots were set, and because she had to leave the shadows wrapped around them until they reset... for despite how the tree looked above ground it was still thriving. A squeak caught her attention, just in time to see Storm roll of the bedding Rune had prepared fore her, a foliage of dark green and purple, leaves of the swamp trees around them. Unfortunately, it took her beyond the reach of the male, his wings rustling as he tried to help her and not damage the den.

Snorting in amusement, Rune slipped down the root she'd been perched on, the shadows coiling around her in the very very faint light that kept the den from been fully embraced by the darkness; it didn't take much for her to halt the dragons roll, huffing, Storm waddled back towards Havoc and her nest, Rune keeping her upright, until she flopped against the thick bumble that covered the males neck. Once happy Storm was secure, Rune moved the foliage around, making it higher than the area the small female was resting on... hopefully that should stop any further... rolls.

Satisfied Rune slipped closer to Havoc's furled wing, prodding at the male. "Move please." She said, antennae weaving as he bared his teeth at her, Rune merely grinned back, her eyes vanishing to slits.... but after a mutter under his breath he did, ever so slightly and so careful of the area. "Thank you." She said, ever so sweetly... (she hadn't needed him to move truthfully but he didn't know that.)

The glowing stone was dimmer now, its 'light' having faded somewhat, later she'd get Senka to power it back up, her fire lighting the stone, Storm was also able to power it using her own magic, but storm magic was unpredictable... and she was otherwise occupied. Carefully picking it up she waddled back past Havoc to the root she'd been stood on, carefully she bracketed the stone in the living wood, here it was closer to the nest, and would provide a gentle light for the couple and their eggs. Yawning she oozed into the shadows, slitted eyes continuing to watch the pair as the light dimmed further, the darkness soothing in the steady warmth of the nesting chamber......
