Every now and then, for reasons that cannot be explained, dragons are born the wrong sex. Many accept this as a fact of life, but others will seek out change. However, change takes effort. There isn’t an item that will magically change the sexy bits of a dragon. No, your dragon will have to seek out a different sort of magic.

In order to change sex, dragons must first appeal to the Ancestor of their particular element. In order to summon them, dragons follow the same protocol as part of their magical training.

Rite 1

"Enough." A voice echoed through the cenote, Ruin's ears twitched but they didn't take their focus from Havoc; every other dragon currently inside the wall of the den stared towards the main entrance, Meiron stood, his hands on his hips and his fur raised. It was rare enough for the Shift to shout, especially the dragons. ""Outside Ruin, now." his rider said, Havoc's tail lashed, but tempting though it was for Ruin to ignore the order and charge their sire again... Meiron was his rider after all. Hissing, Ruin darted outside, taking comfort in the snow that fell over them; the soft flurries playing with them as they took deep breaths.

Meiron shook his head, soothing the dragons... though other than been startled they weren't overly bothered. Havoc shrugged at the look the cat sent him, it wasn't his fault the smaller hybrid was so restless; and while he was happy to tussle with other dragons, the spats with Ruin had been slowly getting out of control; and the instant the cat had sensed lightning, that was it. Once the Cenote was calm again, he headed outside, to see Ruin chasing snowflakes, a simple enough scene... until you took into account the tenseness to the dragon; it had been Xhevahire who had finally clicked on what was wrong with the youngster. "Want to go cause some chaos?" Meiron asked.

Ruin had been readying themselves to be told off, it wasn't Havoc's fault they'd hatched 'female'... but their sire served as a good way to ease the energy that seemed constant, and the irritation that 'she' was wrong. "Chaos?" They asked, sitting on their haunches, to peer at their rider. "Sure, it'll help... partly anyway." Ruin nodded, placing their wings on the ground so Meiron could climb up, while they weren't as big as others (other than wingspan) they were certainly strong enough to carry the shift.

The hybrid followed the instructions, heading far out to sea where the snow fell harder, not that they minded. "See that ship?" the cat commented, Ruin nodded, the huge sails folded, but even then it was visible, likely having anchored itself to wait out the snowstorm. "Just don't damage it, and no lightning." Ruin grinned beneath the artificial snout; well... they'd do their best. Folding their wings they dove, pulling on the erratic and chaotic storm energy that was a constant hum; wrapping it around their body as the ship loomed closer and closer, the gentle snow shifting into a raging blizzard, pummeling the immobile ship; the water freezing on the decks as the crew cursed, slipping and holding on as the winds rose. Ruin didn't touch the waters, beyond what the energy was already doing, the spray shifting to ice as it thrashed against the wood.

Ruin flared their wings, easily darting between the bound sails, the 'extensions' on their wings making them far more agile than it would initially seem, especially as they had no tail to help control flight. They could feel Meiron's amusement as the crew struggled amidst the sudden chaos; a shout from below, and Ruin rose quickly, they'd been spotted, and they were sure they heard 'storm dragon' in the curses that followed their flight. Still, the energy called for a bit more chaos, Meiron gripping their fur as Ruin began to circle the ship, the wind and snow following as they wove it into a whirlwind, more and more... until finally, it was enough.

As quickly as it started, the chaos summoned ice storm ended, the ship, unharmed, if a bit ice-covered, the crew... well there would a bit more bruises and curses regarding the storm dragon who had since vanished.
