Section 1 - General Rules

General Rules for Interactions:

I don't like drama. 😑 Period. To put it frankly: I'm too old for that bullshit.
I DO NOT support/affiliate with pedophiles, zoophiles, racists, or political/religious extremism. If you see anyone using my bases to support these horrendous things, report them! I do not support abuse or hate.
As a general rule, I do not post or create NSFW (not safe for work, 18+) content. If I ever do, they are generally only visible to me, authorized friends, or tagged/hidden.
I do not sell/trade/offer NSFW content to people I don't know, so don't ask.
I reserve the right to refuse sales/exchange to users. I do not refuse lightly.
If I feel you are being rude or abusive to me or anyone else requesting one of my adoptables, I will ban you from my page and from future sales/exchanges.
I am not obligated to put up with misbehavior or inappropriate remarks. Artists are people, too.
All forms of harassment will result in my banning/blocking you from my account/social media. I don't want to deal with that anymore. 😡
If you make a scene and start posting accusations because you didn't get your way, I will refuse to sell you anything ever again.

Section 2 - Line Art, Bases

Rules for the use/distribution of my bases, line art, creations:

Do not sell my pay-to-use/free-to-use bases as-is or as part of a collection of bases.
Do not edit my pay-to-use bases and then resell as another base. Don't do it!
I am okay with people editing free-to-use bases and then sharing them for free. (Ex. Creating new limbs, hair styles, eyes, facial features.)
If you decide to sell one of my bases (as another base) with your own edits on, at least have the decency to credit me for the original.
Do not claim my unedited bases as your own original work!
I don't police who and who doesn't own my pay-to-use lines, but please do not distribute bases you've purchased from me out for free.
My line art that is pay-to-use or free-to-use is intended for adoptables, original characters, and for personal use role play.
NOT for commercial use! Do not include my line art in comics/illustrations/publications intended for commercial use!
You may sell edited/colored bases for real money or virtual currency (DA points, forum points, Robux, etc.)
You may use my bases for your closed/open species creations (MYO Dainties, Peluchies, etc.), just credit me for the base!

Section 3.1 - Adoptable Sales, Image Rights

Payments and character page information:

I reserve the right to refuse/ignore requests that are not done in the manner I asked.
I primarily use Paypal for all money transactions. I will also accept payments through Ko-Fi.
If you are sending me adoption payments, PLEASE include a note on what you're adopting or who you are on Toyhouse for my records!
Do NOT give me money for an adoptable/line art before I have approved.
If I don't get my payment in 48 hours, the adoptable is up for sale again and the old inquiries are removed.
Crossposted adoptables (adopts posted on more than one site) are sold based on who requests first, I use timestamps on comment posts to do this to the best of my ability. This is happening less frequently, as my primary platform for selling them on is Toyhouse.
Owner gets full PNG without marks/background.
Owner will get character Transfer from Toyhouse to their own account upon purchase.
Owner will get character page transfered from Toyhouse to their own account upon purchase.

Section 3.2 - Character Page Comments

Comments made on a single character's page:

If I cannot understand your question/comment(s), I will move on.
If you do not respond to a question I need an answer to within 24 hours, I will move on.
Comments not responded to on character pages or in my inbox about character purchases will be deleted after 48 hours.
Even if I have responded to you back, if you haven't sent me anything and you haven't posted a confirmation reply it will be deleted.
I don't delete comments lightly. I don't have the time to sit and wait three days for a response on a sale when my standard Hold on an item is 48 hours.
Posting "Is this still available?" with no other context will be ignored and deleted.
Please state if you intend to buy or are making an offer!

Section 3.3 - Character Removal/Moving

The transferring and removal of characters:

If you delete the Character Page after I've transferred it to you, you MAY BE BLOCKED/BANNED from future sales! This is seen as suspicious activity. (Ex. Removed with the intent on reselling it for a higher value or to claim credit elsewhere.)
If you are leaving Toyhouse and just keeping the character in a private collection, just drop me a message.
If you are moving to a new Toyhouse account, you don't have to inform me of transfers to that new account.

Section 3.4 - Character Holds/Pending Sales

Transactions and holds on a character:

I no longer accept Deviant Art points. They're useless to me.
Unless special arrangements are made prior, holds are 48 hours.
After 48 hours, an adoptable will be open again for someone new to purchase it.
You can reclaim on a character purchase, but the same rules and holds will apply.
Characters moved to the SOLD folder are claimed and no longer for sale! Don't ask/offer!

Section 4 - Adoptable Designs/Concepts

Character designs, concepts, colors, styling:

All characters/adoptable art from 2016-2018 have been archived. Please message me if you need those files again.
If you REALLY want to use something I've made commercially, just ask me.
Owner can choose/change character names, prefs, pronouns, gender, etc.
Owner can port (make alts or alt versions) designs/colors to other bases/creatures/species.
I can not grant you full rights to something on a base that I do not have the rights to.
If I colored and edited a base that wasn't my own creation, I can not grant you full access to its lines and you will have to go to the base artist for permissions.
For the most part, if you draw your own lines on a character I've given you commercial permission on, the rest is up to you!
Owner can assign any lore/history/relationships to non-closed species/one-offs obtained from me without having to ask me.
Owner can port designs/colors to other bases/creatures. I don't claim to own any color combinations or patterns used as markings on adoptables.
Owner can completely change the character design and still call it the same adoptable, just credit me for any and all works/lines/literature that I created.
Closed species that I've made characters for follow their own set of rules, be sure to read them!
Please follow closed species TOS, whether the species belongs to me or not. I am really tired of the drama. If you do not agree with those terms, do not buy!
You may void (remove from the roleplay world) any of my personally owned closed species at any time.
Voided characters may/may not be placed back into the world they were removed from, be sure you know the rules!
I don't care if the adoptable is ported so dramatically that it's unrecognizable from the original, all I want is credit for the work I did.
DO NOT alter/draw over/photomanipulate my lines/completed works without credit.
Referencing is fine, just credit me somewhere.
Cropping, resizing, adding effects and filters is fine if you need it to fit your profile CSS. Just please credit.
Making banners, page dolls, or art for your character page using my art is fine with credit.
I can not and will not police on people making NSFW of characters they purchased from me. That is their own responsiblity. Just know that I personally do not create NSFW material intended for sale/trade with people I don't know.

Section 5 - Your Resales & Your Trades

Characters once you have purchased them:

As of September 19, 2019 you are allowed to resell and retrade your owned adoptables that I've made for the same price/value you purchased/traded them.
You are in charge of what or how to price additional art you've gotten for adoptables I've sold/traded/gifted. I can't police that nor would I even try to.
I no longer track sales on Deviant Art, those adoptables and their art have been archived.
If you've transferred on Toyhouse, I cannot and probably will not give you the art for that adoptable as it now belongs to someone else.
If your character has been stolen, please report it to admin(s)!

Section 6 - Freebie Character Rules

Characters listed as "Freebie", given away for free:

Please only ONE freebie per person, per week. That keeps things fair.
Please don't use alt accounts to cheat.
As of Mar 21, 2021 I will block/blacklist anyone who deletes Freebie character pages after I've transferred it to them. That's suspicious activity, as that page contains all credits and rules for that character and its art.
All of my character/art rules also apply to freebies.
First come, first serve.
Please don't sell my rreebies. Please don't profit off my free work.

Section 7 - Commissions, Customs, & Trades

Purchases of character art made from scratch by me (Syrcaid):

I only use Paypal for real money exchanges.
I can ONLY use the information you give me! 📣📣📣
I am not psychic (as convenient as that'd be), please include any and all references you have available.
If you ask for something but offer no references, I will draw something that I feel is appropriate for the piece.
I reserve the right to refuse certain requests for any reason.
I do NOT draw NSFW content for strangers EVER. Don't ask.
Changes requested that are drastic or are very different than what was originally agreed upon is $5 per minor edit and $15 per major edit.
I have permissions on a lot of my bases for customs, please ask first!

Section 8 - Pixel Emoticons, Art, & Animated GIFs

My emoticons are free for personal use on and off Deviant Art for journal decorations, forum posts, etc.
My emoticons are not intended for applications, programs, or games intended for sale/profit/commercial use!
For those who know/have editing skills, I give my permission to recolor my animated gifs to match your aesthetic(s).
You can use my animations on Blingee/Giphy or similar apps/programs/filters.
Please credit me for the original animation when posting to a gallery.
