Meet Sydney Allan! He was an ordinary high school student, but puberty was a little harder on him than most. Now he’s got five eyes, six wings, a constant light source around his head and diamond skin. Recently he ended up in the crossfire of a supervillain’s rampage and ended up saving some innocents, but he’s reluctant to call himself a superhero. Even as other heroes try to recruit him, he just wants to hide away and live a quiet life… but his just-in-case hero name would be Nephilim.

What's one character you've always wanted to play in a game but can never find the right game to fit into?

That would be Michael Halliday! He’s actually Sydney from my last post’s dad and an angel himself, albeit not a biblically accurate one. He works as an ER doctor, but he’s almost entirely checked out on his interpersonal relationships. Sydney was an accident resulting from a one night stand that Michael doesn’t even know about.

I think he’d work really well in an Urban Shadows game, but no playbook is really perfect for him and the settings we’ve been going for don’t really have room for Sad Doctor. There is an official angel playbook for 2e in the works, so maybe I’ll get a chance to be kinda the worst little blorbo one day.

What's your latest project?

Nothing concrete, really! I’ve been focusing a lot on work, which is an awesome project that I’m not allowed to talk about (NDA, no idea when we’re supposed to announce).

The thing I’ve been thinking about on my own time is putting all the characters I’ve played in Masks one-shots into a setting together and see what happens. Here are some of the characters for that!

From left to right we have The Whisper (real name Anita Weston), Nephilim (real name Sydney Allan), and Stolas (real name… Stolas). If you’d like to know more about any of them, feel free to ask! :o

Yeah I knew Phoenix Wright was absolutely going to win on this website, but I must admit I’m a little surprised about Bayonetta 2 coming in second. I thought it would be Tattletail or Miles Morales. Glad to see Parasite Eve is doing well despite being one of the oldest games on this list.

Shoutouts to Alone in the Dark 2 and Lifeline for getting a single vote each. You tried.
