Commission Terms of Service
In order to work with me, you must agree to my terms and conditions.By commissioning me, you are acknowledging and accepting my Terms of Service. Please make sure to review this document before proceeding with payment.
general information
★ I may decline any commission request at my discretion.★ My commission prices and information are subject to change★ Any previously agreed upon commissions will not be affected by price adjustments.★ All communication with clients will be documented and kept private, through email, social media, or Discord.★ I do not allow any of my work to be used in connection with block-chain technology, including but not limited to NFTs, cryptocurrency, or any future developments in this field.
copyright and usage for personal illustrations
★ As the artist, I retain the rights to the image, including distribution and use.★ I retain the right to publish commissioned artwork to my portfolio and social media platforms.★ The commissioner is not permitted to remove the artist's signature or claim ownership of the artwork.★ The commissioner may not use the commissioned images for commercial profit unless previously discussed.★ The commissioner may display the image on their social media or websites, as long as the artist's signature is retained and/or a link to my social media is provided.
Payment & Refund
★ Payments will be processed via Paypal invoices. Once the commission has been approved, I will be asking for a Paypal email to send the invoice to. I may consider alternate forms of payment if preferred, but it cannot be guaranteed.★ All payments must be made upfront or after sketch approval, before I continue on the commission. I will not work on the commission until payment has been paid in.★ If the total amount of the commission comes more than >$100 then payment may be made in 50% increments, meaning that 50% of the total amount will be paid upfront before I start the commission, and another 50% after the commission is finished. You also have the option to pay everything upfront.★ I will not refund finished commissions. If I have started the commission but it has not been finished, then I will do a partial refund, based on the amount of work done. Full refunds are given only if the commission is cancelled by me.★ Note: Currency is in USD. I can also accept equivalent of USD in other currencies!
Commercial rights
★ Commissions are for personal use only, you may not use it for profit and/or monetary gain e.g. printing it and selling it, promotional material etc. If you want a commission for this purpose, please say so when you order, so that we may discuss pay.★ The rights for commercial use of the commissioned artwork will be negotiated with the client. The base rate for commercial use is typically twice or three times the base price, but this may vary depending on the specific usage. All details will be discussed and agreed upon before any work begins.
turnaround
★ The typical time frame for completing a commission is 1-2 weeks, although in cases where my schedule is busy or the project is more complex, it may take up to 1-3 months to complete. Please note that the turnaround time may vary depending on the specific circumstances of the project.★ If there is a specific date you want the commission by, please specify upon ordering. Deadlines are reasonable but do not rush me. Tight deadlines will incur additional charges.★ Once payment is sent, I will be sending sketches and other WIPs over the course of time.★ I will allow up to 3 minimal changes free of charge, more minimal changes, as well as major changes in later stages, will have an extra fee, depending on the nature of the change.★ Minor changes include changes in colour, changes in small details, changes in expression etc. while major changes include changes in composition, changes in character, changes in background etc.★ Note: Major changes are only given additional fees when at the flat color painting stage or beyond.
what to expect
★ The final piece will be watermarked and unwatermarked. If you post/share the commission publicly PLEASE use the watermarked version.★ You'll receive a high resolution PNG file (within the range 2000-3500 pixels, 300 dpi).★ I regularly email/message updates about the progress, so be sure to check your inbox frequently, because I need your feedback to continue.
other inquiries
★ Please provide clear references for the characters. You may describe details that are missing from the visual references and use photos/crude drawings to help describe the character. Please be as detailed as possible and use photo/drawn references if you can't provide a proper character reference.★ Be specific. There are many different hues and shades of colours, as well as different types of accessories and clothing items. Preferably use terms that will bring up the best result when googled.
