WHAT THE HELL IS ASK-TMS?

WELCOME TO (the new and improved) ASK-TMS! An interactive and engaging way to experience THE MARK SIDE!

PLEASE NOTE that the events that take place in Ask TMS are not canon to the official timeline of The Mark Side! You may take these posts as you will for stuff like character’s personalities or interactions, but the specific events and actions the characters may partake in do not reflect what will happen in the series.

Imagine this as an AU where everything is the same, but at random they are forced to answer / do whatever anons tell them!

No limit as to what you can ask the characters, just bare in mind that some of them might not have a great reaction to strange questions! But that’s all in the fun.

Have fun and happy asking!!

Other note: Please continue to direct questions that are NOT meant for characters to @saveraedae

Update for Ask-TMS: Direction going forward

Update for Ask-TMS:
Direction going forward

Hey everyone! Been awhile since the re-introduction of the blog, huh? (You can find Ask TMS episode 0 here if you haven’t seen it.)

I wanted to talk about the future of Ask TMS! And if you decide not to read until the end, TLDR, yes, it will continue!

Keep sending asks, cause they’re gonna be answered soon!

WITHOUT FURTHER ADO~

What is the future for Ask TMS?

Ask TMS will continue. However, the videos will be produced sparingly. As much as I LOVE the video format, it is more tangible for me to produce them in comic form, especially considering my decision to fully animate the main series. Just saves more time and energy for the good stuff!

So what about the voice acting?

Don’t worry! It’s not going anywhere! Every now and then, I will compile the contents of this blog into a dub, which will go on my YouTube channel. Individual snippets may be posted infrequently as well, as shorts. I’m doing this not only for myself, but to ensure content will continue coming out for everyone on a regular basis. Things take time to get done. I’m not the only person working on TMS, and same goes for “Ask TMS Episode 0.” It took over 3 months to get it done even though it took 1 day for me to edit it and draw. If I continue Ask TMS as ask blog comics first, it’s completely up to me to get the work done, and not have to manage anyone else. It’s just too fast paced for me to manage other people on volunteer work and not expect huge delays. So there will be dubs, sooner or later.

In conclusion…

THIS PLACE IS FINALLY GONNA BE ACTIVE AGAIN!! WOOOAAHH!

Guess what will be making a comeback in 2023? That's right, the official interactive TMS series, Ask TMS! And it will now be more interactive than before!

In addition to having comic-based answers to everyone's questions, there will be a cool surprise twist of additional content intertwined with it that has been experimented in the past, but has now been perfected! You may now ask on any platform you wish, just comment on TMS related media and it will get seen.

Everyone go follow @ask-tms and send some questions in for the chance to have it be answered by the characters of The Mark Side!

Note - Most of the characters tend to be assholes, they may not like what you ask them and their answers may not be favorable. However, this is all in good fun! Also note that not every ask is able to be answered. However, do not let that discourage you from asking!

How should Ask-TMS be ran?

Keep in line with current in-show canon (At this point it'd be Friend Fiction)

No regard to the timeline or character development, keep everyone static.

So I'm trying to decide how to run Ask-TMS going forward.

As I've stated before, the content there will not be 1:1 to the canon story, and the events on the blog are obviously not canon; (Loose canon: In character, but the specific events didn't happen/are only 'canon' until disproven by show events)

So I'm not sure how exactly to run the blog with all the characters that will be major to the story, as TMS follows a timeline format and as such not every character will technically have been around at the same time as another story detail is present.

(Ex - If we were to be timeline accurate, if Steven is present on the blog, that'd mean that Luke can't be present, if Mark is with Steven, that'd mean he can't interact with his friends, etc)

So my question is, how should this blog be run? Should it adhere to whatever point in time the current show-canon is in, though with a disregard to in-show time so stuff like birthday events can take place? (At this point it'd be anything that happens around the time of Friend Fiction, so Mark hating Ash would be the main focus. Though Luke would be alive, he just wouldn't be with Ben yet, and Steven wouldn't know Mark.) OR Should it give no regard to timeline lore and just be random? I'm going to say I'm personally against the 'giving no regard' option, since while this blog isn't 'canon events,' it may confuse people.

I know people want to ask certain characters questions about stuff that technically wouldn't have happened yet, so I'm just trying to think of options. If anyone else has anything in mind, please do let me know. This is one reason why I've been kinda struggling to make any posts here. Starter posts are on the way, but I need to have a clear direction of how this blog will go.

(please don't say "however you want," genuinely, that does not help)
